Richard Madeley presents Good Morning Britain in wrist cast
Richard explained to Susanna and viewers that he had in fact injured himself while in France.
He said: 'It's a double fracture of the wrist. I was walking quite quickly down a steep pavement in France, actually, on Friday, and the pavement was loose, and it flipped up and it flipped me forward, and I thought, am I going to win or is gravity going to win? And gravity won.
'I hit the ground hard, so yeah, I've got a double fracture and we'll see how it goes.'
Reid then asked whether it was still sore to which her co-host replied: 'I'm not discussing the pain threshold.'
In Monday's show, Madeley's cast could be seen as the two went on to discuss Greta Thunberg's aid boat which had been travelling to Gaza and has been boarded by Israeli forces, as well as the NHS's recent calls for a million new blood donors to come forward, and protests in Los Angeles.
As he interviewed comedian turned artist Jim Moir, best known by his stage name Vic Reeves, who showed him how he can make his bed in eight seconds, Madeley praised him with 'one hand clapping'.

I'm A Celebrity bosses 'plan to extend show for another FIVE years as they make bid to film in jungle until 2030'
ITV are planning for another five years of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and are reportedly in talks to film in the jungle until 2030. Bosses are said to be in negotiations with Australian authorities about securing the area of the jungle where the show is filmed. All going well, another five years would take the long-running ITV show up to its landmark 30th season. A source told The Sun: 'The production team are planning five years in advance, which is a long-term approach they haven't adapted before. 'But this is not a done deal with the local authorities and the negotiations have just started to secure the sight. 'They're not taking anything for granted but are hopeful all parties involved will be able to come to some kind of agreement.' Previously, only thee-year deals have been struck to secure the site in Murwillumbah - where I'm A Celebrity is filmed. If the show hopes to remain there until 2030, they will need the blessing of the local Tweed Shire Council. A spokesperson for the council confirmed ITV will need to seek permission to film on the site again and they don't give 'open-ended filming permissions to anyone'. The Daily Mail has contacted ITV for comment. Jimmy Bullard is reportedly the latest famous face set to take part in the upcoming All Stars version of the series. The 46-year-old former footballer is said to be returning to the jungle alongside a number of other former I'm A Celebrity contestants from previous years. The ex-Soccer AM host will be hoping to do better than his original stint in 2014, when he was the first campmate to be voted off. A source told The Sun on Sunday: 'Jimmy had a brilliant time in the original series he took part in and it really opened the door to his broadcasting career. 'He was voted off first last time and he felt he had a lot more to give. Now he's got the chance to get stuck in again, although he's a bit older so he is worried he might find it harder to rough it. 'His banter is still on top form though. Producers are hopeful he'll have a bromance with Harry Redknapp, who is also taking part.' As well as Jimmy and 2018 King of the Jungle Harry Redknapp, The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins - who lasted only three days in the jungle when she took part in the 2014 edition of the programme - and 2016's third-placed Adam Thomas are also set to take part. Adam memorably took part in a record 12 Bushtucker Trials during his time in the Australian jungle and returned to present the companion series I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp with Joel Dommett and Emily Atack in 2019. A source told The Sun: 'This will be a glorious return for Adam as he established himself as a true fan favourite through his series in camp and then on the spin-off show. 'He's stayed in the limelight, too, with Waterloo Road and then on ITV alongside brother Ryan with challenge show 99 To Beat. 'It's the perfect time for him to head back into the jungle and affirm his position as Mr Bushtucker Trial.' Also rumoured to be taking part in this year's All Star's series is Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, who won I'm A Celeb in 2016. She is reportedly keen to take part now that she is a mum to show her young son how brave she can be. Ant and Dec's return as hosts was confirmed in February, with filming due to take place in South Africa later this year. Unlike in the main series, participants are not battling to become king or queen of the jungle, but instead they will simply be crowned 'Legend'. The first legends series aired in 2023 and saw the returns of former campmates Myleene Klass, Helen Flanagan and Jordan Banjo. A source said: 'That was one of the biggest entertainment shows of the year averaging 5.2million views across its consecutive weeknight run. 'We're very excited about bringing back campmates from over the years in a brand-new setting in South Africa.'

Holly Willoughby wows in a white swimsuit as she lives it up on the beach during sun-soaked Portuguese holiday with sister Kelly
took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a carefree swimsuit-clad snap with her followers as she continues to enjoy her sun-soaked holiday in Portugal. The former This Morning host, 44, looked sensational in a white one-piece as she relaxed on a boat, making the most of a well-deserved break. Her chic swimsuit featured a plunging neckline and hugged her figure perfectly, showing off her enviable physique. The presenter posed up a storm for the camera, accessorising her beachy look with oversized brown sunglasses while letting her wavy blonde locks blow freely in the breeze. She captioned the sun-drenched snap with a series of summery emojis, including a wave, sun and beach umbrella. It comes after Holly and her lookalike sister Kelly gave an insight into their holiday on Tuesday as they smiled against the sunset. The TV presenter, who owns a plush villa in the Algarve, looked stunning in a patterned one-shouldered dress. Completing her summery look, she styled her hair into beachy waves and opted for minimal makeup. Kelly wore a plunging white linen dress, which was cinched in at the waist with a wrap-around belt. The siblings shared a selfie from a balcony and captioned the update: 'Always better together.' Holly frequently spends her summer at her £2 million holiday home at a luxury resort on the Algarve. Holly's summer break comes after she faced a string of blows on her presenting gigs. Her Netflix show Celebrity Bear Hunt was axed after just one series following claims that it was too expensive to produce. It came months after her other mainstream programme, Dancing On Ice, was axed in March, while she also decided to step down from presenting duties on You Bet! Having been the darling of TV for several years, Holly is still in huge demand with a plethora of options open to her as she navigates this tricky stage in her career. According to The Sun, one option could be the reboot of the classic series Record Breakers, which her TV producer husband Dan Baldwin, 50, is currently working on. A source told the production that Holly would be the 'perfect fit' for the show, which at present is in its early stages and currently does not have a channel attached. They explained: 'Record Breakers is likely to be a prime-time hit, and it would make perfect sense for Holly to take the reins. She has worked alongside Dan before and the pair know what it takes to make great telly.' Meanwhile, Holly has also been linked to the revival of Cilla Black's Blind Date, alongside the likes of Claudia Winkleman and Davina McCall. Originally, rumours suggested the ITV hit would make a comeback on the BBC, but now sources claim the love-match show will reboot on Disney+. In March, Holly was tipped to become the next Cilla, with the presenter lining up a string of big-money deals worth up to £10million. The revival was previously being considered by Holly's husband, Dan Baldwin, and the star had previously stepped into Cilla's shoes when she hosted a reboot of Surprise Surprise. An insider told The Sun at the time: 'There might not sound like obvious parallels between Holly and Cilla, but they're both two of the biggest stars of modern telly. 'Emulating Cilla isn't just about taking on her shows, it's as much about carving out a niche as a solo presenter with serious clout in the world of telly. 'But together with her husband Dan, they form the ultimate power couple in TV. She has the public appeal that gets viewers tuning in, while he has a track record of making hugely successful TV shows.' The Daily Mail contacted Holly's representatives for comment at the time. She has long been a familiar face on both ITV and ITV2, hosting shows including Surprise Surprise, Celebrity Juice, The Games, The Xtra Factor, and I'm A Celebrity. Holly is arguably best known for having fronted This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield from 2009 until 2023, while she also helmed Dancing On Ice from 2006.

Kelsey Parker breaks silence on baby loss with heartbreaking admission
EXCLUSIVE: Podcaster and Tom Parker's widow Kelsey Parker has devastatingly shared how she told her children about the death of her baby Phoenix and how they are navigating grief Kelsey Parker is "taking each day as it comes" as she opens up for the first time about the loss of her baby Phoenix. The podcast host and widow of The Wanted's Tom Parker sadly announced her third child was born stillborn at 39 weeks in June. She had looked forward to welcoming her first child with partner Will Lindsay, who she found love with two years after Tom's tragic death from an inoperable brain tumor in 2022. After announcing she was pregnant in January, five months later, Kelsey broke the devastating news that the little boy who they had named Phoenix, was stillborn. A bereft Kelsey took time away from social media and from work. Speaking out in her first interview since the tragedy, Kelsey said: "I didn't think I'd be living a relived experience, first losing Tom and now losing Phoenix. "But I think with any grief and loss, you have to take each day as it come and work through it." About one in every 250 births results in a stillbirth, according to the NHS. Kelsey is mum to children Aurelia, six, and Bodhi, four, with The Wanted singer, and now the family have now experienced death again with their younger sibling. "For the kids, it just breaks my heart for them because obviously we wanted the happy ever after and to have Phoenix but that didn't pan out for us," Kelsey says. The mum said when it came to breaking the sad news to Aurelia and Bodhi so soon after they'd lost their father, she used her first encounter with grief to guide her with the latest heartbreak. "I spoke about it like I did with Tom, I just told them the truth. "I think that's all you can do with your children, in anything you're going through, be honest. Because I think people underestimate their children and what their children can cope with. Children have little ears and they listen to a lot of conversations." While filming her documentary, Kelsey Parker: Life After Tom, the mum met a family who lost their dad to suicide. "The children said they felt so shut out because all the adults kept coming and having conversations in rooms and shutting the children out and I think they felt isolated. Whereas I don't want my children to feel like that, they are very involved in the conversations." Kelsey revealed losing their dad Tom actually helped Aurelia and Bodhi grieve Phoenix. "I think for them it actually makes it easier because they've gone through loss, they understand what death is. "We're sort of almost like the Addams Family because we've gone though so much death and darkness. The children are very aware. "Aurelia likes to tell people that her dad's died and her brother's died. She will openly say it, but it's other people's reactions. They can't cope with how honest and open we are. "But it's a fact of life, we are all going to die that is one thing guaranteed. We're going to be born and we're going die." Kelsey has received the love and support from her family during the devastating time, and been supported by Tom's parents who she remains close with. "Noreen and Nige, Tom's mum and dad, have literally been there for me every day since. We were absolutely devastated. I call Noreen all the time, we always talk. "We're going through grief again." Noreen had shared her blessings when Kelsey became pregnant with Phoenix. "I knew she would [be ok with her having another child] because she wants me to be happy," said Kelsey. "She wants her grandchildren to be happy, that's all we want after going through something so tragic. She's just there for me and she's a massive, massive support. "We spoke to each other every day since losing Phoenix and she was just as devastated as as every family member because she wanted that happiness for me and the kids." Kelsey decided to announce Phoenix's death with an emotional and touching poem, which was titled: "For Phoenix, Born Sleeping, Forever Loved." It read: "The world grew quiet as you arrived. So loved, so longed for, yet not alive. Our precious boy, our angel light. Born with wings, took silent flight. "We named you Phoenix, brave and bright. A soul of love, of warmth and light. Though we never heard you cry, you'll live in hearts that won't ask why." Kelsey's poem for her late son concluded: "No breath you drew, no eyes to see. Still, you mean everything to me. You'll journey with us, softly near. In every sigh, in every tear." Sharing her decision to post the poem, Kelsey said she was feeling 'raw' about the loss but wanted to be honest about what had happened. "I knew everyone was going to be so devastated for me because the messages I've had. [People say] 'how can you go through this again? You've lost the love of your life, now you're going through this'." Kelsey still finds grief in the public eye hard, but there are some aspects that add comfort. "People know on a public level what I've been through so if I had lost Phoenix and had to go and do the school run and people didn't know, I think that would be really hard because people would be saying 'where's the baby'." Kelsey has decided to slowly return to work as she navigates her grief. She has teamed up with Virgin Media O2 and Hubbub for a campaign aiming to get people to revisit memories trapped in old phones, so the device can be donated to someone who needs it. "Work gets me through hard times," Kelsey shared. "Some people don't like work, I love work. I am trying to take it slowly, ease myself back in." She has been supported by her Mum's the Word podcast co-host Georgia Jones during her break away. "Georgia has actually been a massive support and she's messaging me each week and checking in and making sure I'm okay," Kelsey shared. She also threw herself and her kids into routine following Phoenix's death, something she is finding harder now it is the school summer break. Sharing the reason behind her tough decision, Kelsey confessed: "I think that was important for people to see me at the school and for the kids to see that you have to be strong and you have to be brave however tough life is. "You have to be brave and show up and that's what I try and do. Show up for my children so they can look at me and go, you know what, my mummy's very strong. She will get us through anything." Yet, not everyday is straight forward in grief. "It's the same when I lost Tom, you have really, really s**t days that you actually can't get out of bed and you think, am I ever going to get through this? But I have two children that need me. You can literally be one second laughing, the next minute crying. Grief hits you different times." Kelsey Parker is supporting Virgin Media O2 and Hubbub's Community Calling initiative to encourage people to donate unwanted smartphones to those who need them. Through Community Calling – an initiative set up to tackle digital exclusion – unused, working devices can be rehomed to someone in need. More information can be found at
