Actor Harshvardhan Rane has responded to the statement made by Pakistani actor and 'Sanam Teri Kasam' co-star Mawra Hocane amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan.The controversy began when Harshvardhan announced he would not participate in the 'Sanam Teri Kasam' sequel if Mawra Hocane was involved. This decision followed Mawra's post condemning India's Operation Sindoor, which she described as a cowardly attack. Mawra criticised Harshvardhan's exit as a "PR strategy," saying, "Someone I expected to have basic common sense has risen from deep slumber with a PR strategy While our nations are at war, this is what you come up with? I simply offered to step down from Part 2. I am fully within my rights to choose not to work with individuals who label my country's actions as 'cowardly'(sic).'He also criticised Mawra for the personal nature of her comments, emphasising that he did not attack her personally or her dignity as a woman.
