"Family farmers are the heart of this country, and we depend on each other for good food and strong communities,' said Willie Nelson.
"For 40 years, Farm Aid and our partners have stood with farmers, supporting them to stay on their land even when corporate power, bad policies and broken promises make it harder to keep going. This year, we're proud to bring Farm Aid to Minnesota to celebrate the farmers who sustain us and to fight for a food system that works for all of us. Family farmers aren't backing down, and neither are we."
As well as the music, Farm Aid will have a chance to sample a range of food "grown or raised by farmers who use ecological practices and are paid a fair price."
There will also be exhibits about soil, water, energy, food, and farming.

Longview holds meeting to discuss potential amphitheater

LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) — After around five years, the proposed amphitheater project has come back into discussion for Longview's City Council. House budget proposal cuts SNAP, Medicaid in major rollback A work session meeting was held to hear from the project's lead, Steve Powers. 'It's a really good opportunity to bring lots of excitement, some jobs, and you know, cool facilities,' Red Cat Projects' Steve Powers said. The proposed project would sit right off 1-20 and create an outdoor amphitheater with a 10,000 person capacity. In a presentation to the city council, Powers said it could host over 30 concerts per year and also employ more than 200 local people. 'The location is what the key is here,' Powers said. 'Just being on I-20, you're right outside the radius clause for Dallas.' The city council asked questions about the entertainment district project presented alongside the amphitheater. 'I feel like the important part is that we just don't have that entertainment district, since we don't know what's going to be there,' City of Longview Mayor Kristen Ishihara said. Some council members said more information is needed to make sure they support a viable project and other members said they support new developments and would like to create a quality of life area for young people. Despite concerns brought up by council members, Powers said he remains optimistic and hopes to have the proposed amphitheater open by 2027. Nacogdoches holds second annual Duck Derby fundraiser for county donations 'That's our goal, and we think the city deserves it,' Powers said. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Vodafone launches updated Glastonbury app as it boosts festival network capacity

Vodafone has launched the 2025 version of its Glastonbury app including new features. Updates for the music lovers attending this year's event, headlined by The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo, include live location sharing on the Glastonbury map, and step count tracking so Festival-goers can compare to see who covered the most ground. Last year the app was downloaded 226,215 times by ticket holders visiting Worthy Farm or watching at home. Vodafone said its network capacity at the festival, which opens on Wednesday, will be its highest ever after data consumption hit more than 225 terabytes last year Other updates include automatic updates to shared line-ups helping Festival-goers spot who their friends are seeing and allowing them to plan their day accordingly; the ability to shortlist acts via 'Add to Favourites', helping fans distinguish between their locked line-up and their top considerations at one quick glance; and a new map search feature, making it easier to navigate Worthy Farm Maria Koutsoudakis, Chief Brand Officer, Vodafone UK, said: 'We know the app plays a big role in the Festival experience so, this year, we have gone even further to ensure that fans can connect with their friends or family and get as much out of Glastonbury as possible. 'Combined with us delivering the most Vodafone network capacity ever on-site, these new features will help festival goers always be connected no matter where they are across the site. 'We're delighted to be able to use these features to reward both fans and communities across the UK, by tying the new step count feature to our campaign. Social impact is a key part of Glastonbury's ethos as a Festival, and we're proud to be able to play our part in that.'
