Cricket round up: Billericay secure impressive win at Hornchurch
Hornchurch batted first after winning the toss but were bowled out for 189.
Robert Rayner (3/16) and Louis Barrell (3/35) did the damage with the ball for Billericay who then reached the required total for the loss of just one wicket.
Matthew Bell top scored with 66 not out while Arjun Bhardwaj scored 60 not out and Grant Roelofsen 45 to help Billericay secured their first win of the season.
Elsewhere in the top division, Hadleigh & Thundersley suffered a six wicket defeat at Wanstead & Snaresbrook.
Hadleigh opted to bat first and scored 251 all out.Oliver Smith top scored with 110 not out while skipper Sam Handley added 56 before the hosts made it home for the loss of four wickets.
Handley (2/43) and Ethan Rogers (2/46) both bowled well for Hadleigh.
In Division One, Old Southendian & Southchurch suffered a 26 run defeat at Loughton.
The hosts were put into bat first and scored 201.Luke Clarke (4/31) and Ahsan Yousaf (3/33) were the pick of the Southendian bowlers.
However, Southendian were bowled out for 175 in reply.
Yousaf top scored with 70 but it was not enough to prevent defeat.
In Division Two, Westcliff were beaten by five wickets at Harold Wood.
Westcliff were put into bat first and and were bowled out for 142 with A Ajikumar top scoring with 57.
However, Harold Wood past the required total for the loss of just five wickets.
In Division Three, Leigh on Sea were beaten by 39 runs at Barking.
Barking were dismissed for 195 with Oliver West (2/25), Ben Giles (2/42), Joe Sexton (2/31) and Sevriano Cupido (2/20) all among the wickets.
In Division Four, Wickford won by nine wickets in a low scoring clash at Redbridge
Redbridge opted to bat first but were dismissed for just 79.Conor Etchells (6/27) caught the eye with the ball for Wickford while John Grimes (3/32) also played his part.
In reply, Wickford made it home for the loss of just one wicket with Jack Hart scoring 35 and Tom Merritt 24 not out.
There was also joy for Benfleet who won by 42 runs at South Woodford.
Benfleet were put into bat by their hosts and scored 244/6 from 50 overs.
Hammad Ul Hassan scored 66, Kumar Sumit 54 and Sam Coelho 46 before the home-side were bowled out for 202.
Ul Hassan also led the way with the ball taking 4/42.
Benfleet are now third in the league table with Wickford fourth

When Thornbury replied they reached 100 for four in the 16th over and looked to be pacing their response well but then slipped to 182 for eight by the 35th over, which swung the game back in favour of the hosts. For the Saints both Nathan Dimond and CJ McKenna took two wickets each, When the visitors replied they were all out for 203 in 41 overs, of which Brendan Coles hit 32, while McKenna with 34 and Sam Cohen who scored 37 added 52 for the sixth wicket. Dalwood was the pick of the bowlers taking four for 43 from his nine overs, two maidens, while Chris Scott finished with three for 27 from nine with one maiden.

A round up of tonight's non-league action as Billericay and Bowers both draw
BILLERICAY Town drew 1-1 at Dartford in the Isthmian Premier Division tonight. Olly Box fired Dartford in front midway through the first half but Liam Nash came off the bench to secure a point for Billericay with his first goal since signing in the summer. However, there was disappointment for Canvey Island who lost 4-1 at home to Cheshunt. Michael Finneran was on target for the Gulls. In Isthmian North, Bowers & Pitsea drew 2-2 at Walthamstow thanks to goals from Mikey Faulkner and captain Luca Albon. Concord Rangers lost 2-0 at Tilbury.

Cricket stars past and present shine at Hadleigh's international day
A WHOLE host of past and present cricket stars shone at Hadleigh & Thundersley's annual international day. An entertaining 20 over clash ended with the PCA England Masters beating their hosts by 12 runs. And club chairman Kevan Jenkinson was delighted with how the day went. 'It was a fantastic event which allowed us to showcase cricket and our club within the community,' said Jenkinson. 'It also allowed us to highlight our new training facility and to promote and recruit new members 'We had nearly 400 people in the marquee and probably close to 1,000 spectators around the ground. 'It was a really good game too.' The PCA England team contained a number of ex internationals including Adam Hollioake, Alex Tudor and Mark Ramprakash alongside current Essex skipper Tom Westley and bowler Jamie Porter. The PCA side were put bat first after losing the toss and went on to score 253/3 with Owais Shah top scoring with 127 from 65 balls. Fellow opener Ali Brown made 95 before retiring meaning 241 was put on for the first wicket. Louis Poynter (2/53) and Ethan Rogers (1/29) took the wickets for Hadleigh who then fell just short in reply after scoring 241/4 from their 20 overs. Jack Sinfield led the way with 86 for Hadleigh while Kian Vapiwala hit 66 not out but it was not enough to prevent a narrow defeat.
