Twin Cities weekend: Grand Old Day, county rodeo, Turtle Fest
What to expect: Grand Old Day, which runs from 9am-6pm down Grand Avenue from Dale to Snelling, kicks off with an early 5K run before the parade begins at 9:30am.
The festival itself has six stages and four "entertainment zones" with food, artist markets, sports and family fun — plus a car show and wiener dog races.
If you go: Most activities are free, but access to five of the six stages and the beverage garden requires a Music Pass, which ranges from $13-$18 for general admission to $30 for pit entry.

Starting August 15 and lasting for a week, a burger and t-shirt featuring Kevin Durant's likeness will be available at Houston's Trill Burgers. Rapper Bun B, who has long been known for his dedication to Houston,is collaborating with newly acquired Rockets star Kevin Durant for a limited time promotion at Trill Burgers. Starting Friday, August 15, and lasting for a week, the 'Easy Money Burger' and 'Easy Money T-Shirt' — in reference to the All-Star forward's nickname — will be available at the two Houston-area locations of Trill Burgers (co-founded by Bun B). The shirt can also be purchased online. Proceeds will benefit flood relief for the Texas Hill Country, which suffered devastating damage and loss of life during the July 4 holiday weekend. 'We wanted to do something to make his introduction to the city meaningful,' Bun B said of his new partnership with the NBA star. The two are longtime friends. Dating back to his college days, Durant has extensive ties to the region and state. Houston's CW 39 (KIAH) has more: The Easy Money Burger was created using all of the player's favorite burger toppings: ketchup, mayo, pickles and American cheese. Each burger will also be served with custom packaging with imagery that represents Durant's basketball career at the University of Texas. 'This partnership is dedicated to the Central Texas Hill Country area, where KD played college basketball,' Bun B said. 'We wanted to create something that will give back to the community Kevin is connected with and so passionate about, and we hope to provide meaningful support for our Texas neighbors as we all work together to recover from this devastating flooding.' 'Collaboration is the true essence of community,' Durant wrote in a story published on his personal Instagram page. He expressed appreciation to Bun B and Trill Burgers for the opportunity. Photo courtesy of Liane Hentscher/Prime Video Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Prime Video is previewing the final season of the sci-fi comedy series Upload ahead of its four-part finale, arriving on the streamer Aug. 25. The trailer released Tuesday shows Nora (Andy Allo) embrace Nathan (Robbie Amell), only to realize he is an apparent hologram. "Come find me," he says before disappearing. The show exists in a world where the wealthy don't die and instead upload their consciousness to a virtual reality afterlife. Season 4's last episodes show what happens when "sentient AI rapidly turns evil, threatening to wipe out Lakeview (and the world)!" according to an official synopsis. Greg Daniels, well known for his work on The Office, Parks and Recreation and King of the Hill, created the series. Kvin Bigley, Allegra Edwards, Zainab Johnson and Owen Daniels also star.
