PEOPLE confirmed that Bezos and Sánchez were engaged in May 2023, four years after news broke that they were in a relationship
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are married, PEOPLE confirms.
The Amazon founder, 61, and the Emmy-winning journalist, 55, tied the knot in a black-tie ceremony on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy, on Friday, June 27.
The couple celebrated their Italian nuptials over several days, welcoming a number of their celebrity friends for the lavish festivities in the Floating City, including Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Orlando Bloom, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Karlie Kloss, Leonardo DiCaprio, Usher and Tom Brady.
Other notable guests included Queen Rania of Jordan, Bill Gates and his girlfriend, Paula Hurd, François-Henri Pinault, and fashion designers Diane von Fürstenberg, Domenico Dolce and Tommy Hilfiger.
A source tells PEOPLE the couple's wedding ceremony kicked off with a performance of 'Can't Help Falling in Love' by Elvis Presley, sung by Matteo Bocelli to cheers from the guests.
Ahead of the ceremony, Bezos and Sánchez were photographed leaving the Aman Hotel separately, presumably headed for their wedding venue. The bride wore a retro-inspired, all-white suit and silk head scarf, while the groom sported a sleek black tuxedo and aviator-style shades.
Ahead of their wedding celebrations, the bride and groom were photographed arriving in Venice via helicopter on Wednesday, June 25, smiling as they walked hand-in-hand. They later hosted a welcome party for their guests on Thursday night, June 26, at a closed cloister adjacent to the Madonna dell'Orto church.
A source told PEOPLE that the party-goers dined on pizza cooked onsite by a famous Neapolitan chef, along with fried zucchini flowers, arancini, octopus and cod. Dessert included pastries and lemon cakes.
The couple had planned to hold their wedding ceremony on Saturday, June 28, at Scuola Grande della Misericordia, but made a last-minute location change due to security concerns amid ongoing local protests over the wedding.
To show their appreciation to Venice for hosting them and their guests, Bezos and Sánchez made a point of spotlighting the city's rich artisanal history during their wedding festivities. They sourced about 80% of their provisions from Venetian vendors, among them pastry shop Rosa Salva and glass design studio Laguna B, a source told The Associated Press.
In addition, the couple asked their guests to make financial donations to the city of Venice instead of giving them wedding gifts. On their wedding invitation, they listed three Venetian charities they planned to donate the contributions to: the UNESCO Venice Office, CORILA and Venice International University.
They also shared on the invitation why Venice holds such a special place in their hearts. "This magical place has gifted us unforgettable memories," they wrote. "Our hope is that through these efforts and by you joining us, Venice will continue to inspire wonder for generations to come."
"We are definitely happy to have this funding for the protection of our very delicate city," Sebastiano Costalonga, local city councillor for commerce and productive activities of the municipality of Venice, told PEOPLE ahead of the wedding.
News of Bezos and Sánchez's relationship first broke in January 2019, around the same time that the Blue Origin founder announced his divorce from MacKenzie Scott after 25 years of marriage. At the time, Sánchez was divorcing her husband of 13 years, Patrick Whitesell.
While it's unclear when and how Bezos and Sánchez first met, sources previously told PEOPLE that the pair struck up a working relationship while teaming up on several projects and "gradually" developed romantic feelings for each other.
Sánchez later opened up about her relationship with Bezos in January 2023, telling WSJ Magazine that the pair were "together all the time."
"We love to be together and we love to work together," she told the outlet, before revealing that Bezos has a side that the public doesn't get to see.
"He's really funny," she shared. "He makes me laugh all the time. He can be goofy."
In May 2023, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the two had gotten engaged. The news came as the couple was vacationing together in the South of France. Sánchez was photographed wearing a dazzling ring on that finger while spending time on Bezo's superyacht Koru and stepping out in town.
At the time, a source told PEOPLE the newly engaged pair were "on cloud nine" and "so happy and madly in love." As for Sánchez's "huge" ring, the insider said the former Good Day LA co-host "keeps playing with it and looking at it. You can tell she loves it."
When Bezos celebrated his milestone 60th birthday last year, Sánchez shared a sweet tribute to her then-fiancé on Instagram.
"Today is another day where your laughter fills our home, and that smile of yours lights up every room. Wishing you an abundance of simple joys and quiet moments of happiness," she wrote. "May this year be filled with everything you love, from peaceful mornings to joyous celebrations."

She added: "I hope each day brings you countless reasons to smile, just like you give me a reason to smile every single day. Love you, and happy birthday, my love."
With their Venetian wedding, Bezos and Sánchez have now officially merged their families. The billionaire mogul shares four children with his ex-wife, and Sánchez shares son Nikko, 24, with ex Tony Gonzalez, and son Evan, 19, and daughter Ella, 17, with Whitesell.

A new month is here, and with it comes a fresh wave of titles hitting Prime Video. Amazon has officially unveiled its full July 2025 streaming lineup, and there's plenty to get excited about. Below, we've laid out the complete list of everything arriving on the streaming service this month. We've also highlighted a few standout picks you won't want to miss, including the third and final season of 'The Summer I Turned Pretty,' a new action-comedy featuring Idris Elba and John Cena, and 'Ballard,' the new 'Bosch' spinoff. Not seeing anything that grabs you? No problem — check out our curated guides to the best movies and shows currently on Prime Video for even more streaming recommendations. Otherwise, scroll down to see everything new coming to Prime Video this July. 'Heads of State' is a new action-comedy featuring an unlikely duo: U.S. President Will Derringer (John Cena) and U.K. Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Idris Elba). After their jet is shot down, the two sworn rivals must band together alongside MI6 agent Noel Bisset (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) to survive a deadly global conspiracy aimed at shaking the foundation of their nations. If you're in the mood for fast-paced global stakes, charismatic star power, and light-hearted action, 'Heads of State' looks to be July's must-watch on Prime Video. Whether Cena and Elba can set their rivalry aside and save the world … well, that's the fun of finding out. Stream "Heads of State" on Prime Video from July 2 Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. 'Ballard' is set in the 'Bosch' universe and follows Detective Renée Ballard (Maggie Q). After being introduced in the 'Bosch: Legacy' finale, Ballard now leads an underfunded, all-volunteer LAPD cold case unit. Determined and fiercely empathetic, she juggles complex investigations like the high-profile 'Flower Girl' serial killer case while navigating bureaucratic roadblocks and inner-department corruption. Backed by familiar faces including Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver), Ballard is tasked with reopening unsolved crimes, but the emotional toll and political weight of the job threaten to overwhelm her. Created by 'Bosch' author Michael Connelly, the show leans into grounded storytelling, with a focus on justice, trauma, and the messiness of police work. With all ten episodes premiering at once, 'Ballard' offers fans of the franchise (and detective dramas in general) a darker, more character-driven story. Stream "Ballard" on Prime Video from July 9 Premiering July 16 with a two-episode kick-off and rolling out weekly through September 17, the third and final season of 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' adapts Jenny Han's concluding novel. Set two years after Belly's (Lola Tung) decision to be with Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), the story follows her summer after junior year of college. Belly and Jeremiah announce their engagement, only for Conrad (Christopher Briney) to reappear, reopening old wounds and thrusting Belly into a powerful emotional crossroads. With an expanded 11-episode run (the longest yet) the series dives deeper into the central love triangle, Belly's growth into adulthood, and the dynamics between her friends and family. So expect moments of heartbreak, healing, and surprising adventures (including potential new settings like Paris). From 'My Mom Jayne' to 'The Woman in the Yard,' 10 movies to stream right now
In between making Fourth of July plans, be sure to watch a deep dive on Jayne Mansfield and get creeped out by a woman in a yard. Several new streaming films have arrived on your various streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon's Prime Video, Disney+ and more. There are theatrical releases finally coming home, including a Looney Tunes animated comedy and a sci-fi horror flick set in deep space, plus original fare like the debut from Steven Spielberg's filmmaking daughter. Here are 10 new and notable movies you can stream right now: 'Ash' A trippy paranoia space thriller that turns into a gonzo gore-fest. Eiza González plays an astronaut who wakes up on an alien planet, not knowing who she is but seeing a bunch of dead crew members around, and she needs to figure out if her rescuer (Aaron Paul) is on the level or not. Where to watch: Shudder 'The Day the Earth Blew Up' Who better to stave off an alien invasion than ... wait, what? Daffy Duck and Porky Pig?! This Looney Tunes animated comedy features the iconic 'toon twosome as roommates and coworkers at a chewing gum factory who uncover a mind-control plot when the launch of a new flavor turns people into zombies. Where to watch: Max 'KPop Demon Hunters' Catchy music, anime style and some horror combine in this kid-friendly action comedy. When the members of Korean pop trio Huntrix aren't busy being megastars, they protect their fans from supernatural dangers. But dark secrets and hormones become issues, thanks to their latest enemy: demons disguised as a hunky boy band. Where to watch: Netflix 'Love Me' Are you ready for a romantic sort-of-comedy between inanimate objects? Hundreds of years after mankind is wiped out, a smart buoy (Kristen Stewart) turns on and strikes up a friendship with the last satellite (Steven Yeun) launched into space. This weird couple literally gets more real as time passes, trying ice cream for the first time and opening up to each other. Where to watch: Paramount+ 'A Minecraft Movie' Kids are going to love it, as will anyone with a soft spot for the glorious weirdness of "Napoleon Dynamite." The adventure centers on misfits stuck in a fantasy world that makes the most of their creativity, with an unhinged Jack Black singing about lava chicken and a hilariously macho Jason Momoa gamely taking the brunt of the gags. Where to watch: Max 'My Mom Jayne' We knew Mariska Hargitay was one of TV's top cops. What we didn't realize is she's also a gifted documentarian. Hargitay was just 3 when her movie star mom, Jayne Mansfield, died, and the film is her way to figure out who Mansfield was. The documentary disconnects the sex symbol from the real person while also revealing the biological father Hargitay kept a secret. Where to watch: Max 'Nosferatu' Do you live for Prime Day and gothic thrillers with weird romance and bloodsuckers? Director Robert Eggers' remake of the horror classic finally comes to Amazon, with Lily-Rose Depp as a woman who's the obsession of an undead mustached menace (Bill Skarsgård). Where to watch: Prime Video 'Please Don't Feed the Children' With her first feature film, director Destry Allyn Spielberg – yes, the daughter of that Spielberg – creates an intense world where a pandemic has stricken adults instead of kids and teens on the run are taken in by a stranger (Michelle Dockery). Then Spielberg shows her true mettle by pulling off a twist that proudly goes full horror. Where to watch: Tubi 'Sally' While this revealing documentary about Sally Ride obviously touches on her being the first American woman in space, it's more interested in getting into her personal life. The movie digs into her tennis roots, the misogyny she dealt with regularly at NASA, and the lesbian romance she kept private for 27 years because she knew it wouldn't be accepted. Where to watch: Disney+, Hulu 'The Woman in the Yard' Danielle Deadwyler stars as an injured widow and single mother knocked for a loop by tragedy when a mysterious woman in a black veil shows up out of nowhere to haunt her family's yard. It's psychological horror that digs deep into depression and mental health, with a harrowing ending that leaves much up to audience interpretation. Where to watch: Peacock

'Many assumed that Bill had cheated on Linda through 2022 and 2023, but they were broken up by September 2022," the insider says. "Linda was still pretending they were together after the breakup, and Bill played along so she could transition with the least amount of public humiliation and avoid abrupt displacement.' 'Bill moved into a hotel nearby Gillette Stadium in September and allowed Linda to continue to stay in his homes," the source adds. The source close to the former couple also says Holliday's social media activity "changed drastically" after she and Belichick split. A separate source confirmed to PEOPLE in September 2023 that the couple had split, noting that Belichick, 73, and Holliday, 62, had "been pretty separate for a while" by the time their breakup was announced. The couple had been dealing with relationship issues that were "not new" when they separated, the insider revealed. 'Bill is all about football and very busy now. He doesn't want a lot of public attention on this," the source told PEOPLE at the time. Currently, Belichick is dating Jordon Hudson, a former Bridgewater State University cheerleader who has been acting as his publicist through her company Trouble Cub Enterprises.
