But her legions of diehard fans may need to brace themselves for the warts-and-all look at their idol.
A TV insider said: 'All the indications are this won't just be a love letter to Taylor, but a genuine in-depth look at the journey she's been on to become such a star.
'That doesn't mean the show will be a hatchet job, but it won't necessarily be a rose-tinted look at her life.'
Becoming Taylor Swift is being made by Sandpaper Films, which has a reputation for tackling serious subjects.
Other programmes the production company has created include Sky's Doom Scroll: Andrew Tate And The Dark Side Of The Internet and the BBC's The Untold Story Of Baby P, which looked at the tragic killing of 17-month-old Peter Connelly.
A TV insider added: 'Sandpaper is a serious outfit which is renowned for scrutinising important topics and bagging industry awards.'
Its documentary on the Shake It Off hitmaker is likely to look at how the girl from Pennsylvania started her journey in the world of country music before becoming a huge mainstream artist who went on to sell 114 million albums.
It is expected to complete filming this year and air in the run-up to Christmas.
Taylor is the latest in a string of music stars which Channel 4 has profiled in recent years, albeit for very different reasons.
Other documentaries have included 2023's George Michael: Outed, which looked at the Wham! star coming out of the closet, and this year's expose of Marilyn Manson's shocking hidden life, which I exclusively revealed last year.
Travis Kelce showers Taylor Swift with $140,000 worth of glam Valentine's Day gifts including Cartier watch and flowers
I somehow doubt the Swifty doc will be uncovering anything quite that dark.

But it seems three years on the memories are still fresh in the star's mind, and while she said it was 'the best thing she's ever done' she said: 'It was worse than you could even imagine. When I watched it back, there's so much more that they didn't even show. 'When we had mic packs, when they'd change the packs, you weren't allowed to talk. It was severe. There was never 'cut, cast can chill for a bit.' 'It was intense. Brutal.' Maisie eventually won the show when she participated in the endurance challenge – joining Calum Best, Ferne McCanne and AJ Pritchard to pass the test. Though she noted that her experience, which was set in the deserts of Jordan, took a toll on her physically and mentally, before bursting into tears. As Simon and Tim awkwardly rallied around her, she said: 'I was so young. I was 19, and it was such a big challenge. I'm proud of myself.' The latest series of Celebrity SAS is currently airing, and after just two episodes, four of the cast have already quit. S Club 7's Hannah Spearritt was first to go, followed by Louie Spence, and then Love Island stars Tasha Ghouri and Chloe Burrows quit within minutes of each other during a trek up a hill. Tasha has since refused to even acknowledge her time on the show, and said at the time of her exit she 'wasn't there mentally' to do it. Who Dares Wins in chaos as two more stars quit within A MINUTE of each other The series is set to continue tonight with more stars expected to bite the dust and voluntarily withdraw. 10 still remain in the game, which is set to get even more brutal as the annual boxing challenge takes place. Those still in the running include drag artist Bimini, Rebecca Loos, Love Island's Adam Collard and The Traitors winner Harry Clark.

Bonnie Blue sends Ibiza Final Boss cheeky message after girlfriend trouble
Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kay has caught the attention of adult star Bonnie Blue while he parties in Ibiza amid reports that his girlfriend dumped him over his antics. Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kay has flown back out to Ibiza with his mates via private jet and has now attracted the attention of adult star Bonnie Blue. The 26-year-old Geordie became an internet sensation overnight when his Lego-style haircut went viral. Since then he has become a household meme with millions of views, announced his own tour and swapped easyJet for a private plane. Jack flew back to his homeland briefly to get a fresh trim, only to head straight back out to the party island. The lad posted an update on Instagram to his 105k followers as he touched down in Ibiza. Driving a Mercedes G-wagon with his signature shades and Turkey Teeth smile, Jack's pal filmed him fist pumping the air to the music with one hand on the wheel. Jack, also known as 'Ibiza Bob', wrote a cryptic caption, telling fans: "The final boss can't be slayed… your misses on the other hand? Her levels been completed". Bonnie Blue has now weighed in on Jack's overnight success as she appears to be desperate to get his attention. The 26-year-old adult star is known for her rage-bait tactics and visiting party hot spots to find men to sleep with and film for her work, including 'barely legal' teens. Bonnie Blue was seen leaving a cheeky comment underneath Jack's post as she replied with a simple eyes emoji, which is often used as a suggestive way of hinting at something. The controversial sex star has been banned from adult platform OnlyFans after staging a 'petting zoo stunt' which would have seen her "tied down" in a glass box in a house in London, where strangers would come and do "whatever they wanted". In her recent Channel 4 documentary, she bragged: "I am going to be completely helpless, tied down, gagged, choked". She received fierce backlash from critics who claim the 'event' glorifies rape culture and perpetuates dangerous myths around sex. Bonnie's interaction with Jack comes amid reports that the 26-year-old's love life is in trouble. His glamorous girlfriend, Alisha Cook, reportedly dumped him on his first Ibiza trip, just days before he went viral. Jack is said to be fighting to save his relationship with the model and and debt collector from Co Durham.. Alisa was reportedly so angry with her boyfriend for partying in Ibiza that she dumped him before videos of his haircut made him go viral. The pair have allegedly talked things through since but a pal of Jack's warned he was 'skating on thin ice' over his party lifestyle. They told the Daily Mail: "Alisha called it off when Jack went to Ibiza with the lads. They'd been together for almost a year and he was living at her place but things hadn't been right for months. "His car is still on her drive, she threw all his clothes in the back of it. She doesn't want him around anymore. She's had inklings that something was not right for a while. She just wants to wash her hands of him. Alisha is so beautiful. No one is quite sure what she saw in him." However, it appears Alisha had a quick change of heart as she has publicly declared herself as Jack's girlfriend since he rose to fame. In a series of TikTok videos captioned: "POV: ya boyfriend's now known as Ibiza Final Boss," Alisha is seen cosying up to Jack, including clips of him kissing her cheek and the two of them partying together Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! The video has since been made private but social media users did not hold back on their thoughts in the comments. One person wrote: "At least you know he didn't cheat — he's been filmed from every angle on TikTok just having a ball." Another remarked: "Have a word with his barber — I don't know how he leaves the house." A third mockingly wrote: "So was the haircut a choice, or did the barber do him dirty?"
