Peaches and Cream's all-day pool package kicks off from 9am, Monday to Friday, and for Dhs250, you're all set with a sunbed, a tasty food platter (of quesadillas and beef sliders), three house drinks and your pick between an ice bath session or a quick paddle with Kite N Surf.

Dubai's first breathwork at sea event: What you need to know

A brand-new, relaxing sea-floating breathwork experience is now in Dubai. The weekly event sees a group of up to 50 people float off the coast of Palm Jumeirah under the moonlight while they're guided through breathwork rituals. For those uninitiated with breathwork, it's a set of breathing practices which are said to influence a person's mental, emotional and physical state. Brought to Dubai by Immersiv Collective, the Sunday evening session is thought to be a world-first experience. Sessions begin with participants lying on the sand as they are guided through a somatic activation, which features an introduction to breathwork and sage lighting. You'll then be guided onto a velvet-topped lilo, which will float onto the Arabian Gulf. Noise-cancelling headphones will play calming music in your ears while you receive further instructions from the leader of your session. The Sunday evening event concludes with a tea ceremony. Participation costs Dhs350 per person, and those with a ticket can meet at MGallery The Retreat Palm Dubai. Ashley Edelman, the co-founder of Immersiv Collective, describes the benefits of the breathwork session. He said: 'Every Sunday under the moonlight, I guide a breathwork journey where we float in the sea, supported by the saltwater, the breath, and the stillness that so many of us are craving. It's powerful. It's primal. It's deeply regulating for the nervous system, and it's open to anyone ready to meet themselves again. 'We begin grounded on the sand with a somatic activation to drop into the body. Then we float… and breathe. 'Consciously. Together. The ocean holds us as we let go of what's been stuck, buried, or weighing us down. And we close with a tea ceremony under the stars to bring it all home. 'This is the most immersive experience I've ever facilitated. The water amplifies everything: release, surrender, clarity, connection. If you've been wanting to reconnect with yourself, your truth, and something greater than you… this is it.' Every Sunday evening. Dhs350 per person. The Retreat Palm Dubai MGallery by Sofitel, Palm Jumeirah. (+971 58 52 44 779). Looking for other things to do this week? Treat yourself to a new summer ritual at Banyan Tree Dubai

Some days call for switching off from the real world. When the inbox is brimming and the heat outside feels relentless, a getaway doesn't sound bad – especially when it comes with a cracking view and a massage table. The Summer Spa Ritual at Banyan Tree Dubai ticks all those boxes, with a few indulgent extras thrown in for good measure. This sun-soaked daycation is available all summer, with prices starting from Dhs590 per person on weekdays and Dhs690 on weekends. What to expect? A one-hour treatment at Banyan Tree Spa, one of the largest in Dubai, at a massive 2,257 square metres. Expect a mix of Asian and Middle Eastern wellness rituals, performed by highly skilled therapists who know exactly how to ease the tension from your shoulders or coax you into a blissed-out state with a signature massage. Before or after your treatment, you can also add a one-hour Rainforest Experience to your package for an additional charge of Dhs350. It's a fun hydrothermal journey (literally, like walking through rain) with vitality pools, an ice fountain and steam and sauna rooms. If lounging's more your thing, there are heated recliners and private suites, some with jacuzzis. And while you're at it, you can always peruse the menu and add on anything you fancy for a full-on pampering session. The ritual doesn't stop there. You'll also sit down to a two-course lunch at Alizée, the resort's relaxed French-Mediterranean spot. Then you've got all-day access to the Banyan Tree pool and beach, so there's no rush to leave once you're well-fed and floating in that post-spa bliss. Banyan Tree Dubai itself is a destination worth lingering in. Tucked along a quiet stretch of Bluewaters Island, it's got the feel of a modern-day sanctuary, with Asian-inspired interiors, three pools, a yoga deck and 500 metres of private beach to wander. Whether you're gazing at Ain Dubai or dozing off in a lounger, you'll be glad you came. To book your summer escape, head to Banyan Tree Dubai any day of the week until the season winds down. Just be warned: after a taste of this much peace, re-entering the real world might take some time. Ready for a mind-blowing spa-cation? Book by getting in touch with spa-dubai@ or call 04 556 6401
