Forbes Under 30 Summit Asia to be held in Bangkok
The three-day event will feature alumni from the past decade of Forbes magazine's 30 Under 30 Asia lists participating in panel discussions, networking sessions and cultural activities.
Held under the theme 'Jumpstarting The Future', the summit will feature game-changers sharing insights on how to navigate the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing landscape and cultivate a growth mindset in an uncertain world.
Programme and Speakers
The main programme on Sept 11 will address key topics including artificial intelligence, investment trends, sustainability, innovation and personal growth.
Thai entertainer and entrepreneur Bright (Vachirawit Chivaaree) and Singaporean rapper-entrepreneur Yung Raja are among the confirmed keynote speakers, who will discuss their experiences bridging the entertainment and business worlds.
The speaker lineup includes several Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia honourees, including Andy Chan of Qupital, Rashid Khan from Yellow.AI, Rachel Hu of CambioML, and Ryan Gersava from Virtualahan, among others.
Exhibition and Cultural Events
A Discovery Area will showcase innovations from 30 Under 30 Asia listees, featuring products from companies such as Moom Health and motoguo, alongside demonstrations of bionic arms, AI-powered wearable cameras, and electric motorcycles.
The summit's Food and Music Festival will showcase emerging Asian talent. Performers include Yung Raja, Indian singer-songwriter Pavithra Chari and the Singaporean artist Shazza. Culinary demonstrations will be led by 30 Under 30 honourees Chef Ardy Ferguson from Hong Kong and Vinesh Johny, founder of the Lavonne Academy of Baking Science and Pastry Arts in India.

Cambodian singer bans own songs over use of Thai melodies
PHNOM PENH – Cambodian singer and television mentor Chhorn Sovannareach announced on Tuesday he will no longer perform seven of his most popular songs, after admitting they were based on Thai melodies. The Cambodian Idol and The Voice Cambodia mentor issued a statement on his official Facebook page apologising to fans in advance, saying he could no longer honour requests for the songs. The affected tracks are One Month Ten Days, Meeting to Break Up, Know, Bedtime Story, I Dare Not Tell You in Person, A Time for Tears, and Are You Happy, My Love? 'I sincerely apologise to all my listeners and fans. I cannot perform these songs any longer as their melodies were adapted from Thai music several years ago. I ask for your understanding,' Sovannareach wrote. The singer's decision, which he described as a self-imposed boycott, has drawn attention in Cambodia's entertainment industry, where cross-border influences have long played a role in shaping the country's music scene.

MOCA Bangkok presents 'The Journey Of Colors'
Art lovers are invited to trace the evolution of colour during "The Journey Of Colors", which is running at Temporary Exhibition Hall 1 and 2, ground floor of MOCA Bangkok, until Sept 21. This is a solo exhibition by Charoon Boonsuan, a senior Thai artist known for his lifelong dedication to painting and his profound sensitivity to colour -- the essence of his artistic language. The exhibition invites viewers to delve inwards -- through the gradual transformation of colour that reveals his inner self. From what is seen to what is felt, colour flows back outwards, freely expressed on canvas. The artist begins with ordinary subjects such as flowers or landscapes but never aims for realism. These forms are merely starting points, used to evoke a personal state in which colour becomes a silent force of emotion, memory and experience. Colour in the work is inseparable from the artist, coexisting with nature and inner sensation, resonating with affective perception. He discovered that even the tone of a base layer could shift the emotional tone of the entire painting. A yellow underpainting makes flowers appear more vivid and enhances the presence of brushstrokes. Thus, his approach to colour is not merely technical -- it is an emotional language imbued with calm. From the structured compositions and subdued tones of his early works to the confident embrace of vivid colour, his later paintings reflect a shift -- from "painting quickly to leave brush traces" to "painting slowly to be with what appears". Flowers in his paintings are no longer just living forms -- they embody states of serenity, contentment and an open-hearted view of the world. MOCA Bangkok is on Kamphaeng Phet 6 and opens Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
