Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi signs "Protect the Earth" at ADIBF
Several council members attended the signing event, including Jasim Al Hanawi Al Nuaimi, Mohamed Ali Jaber Al Hammadi, Mohamed Al Alawi Al Dhahouri, Obaid Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Abdullah Salem Bin Taresh Al Kaabi, and Humaid Obeid Al Hammoudi. The initiative includes three English-language publications geared for readers aged 9 to 15, with the goal of raising young people's understanding of the importance of environmental protection and sustainability. During the event, Dr Al Nuaimi reminisced on his decade-long involvement in the book fair, stating that this year's participation represented a new and inspiring challenge. He added that the book's premise arose from repeated school trips throughout the UAE, where he led awareness sessions on climate change and future sustainability. These conversations demonstrated that many students lacked basic information about the Earth's future and thought sustainability was primarily the responsibility of governments. The project took two and a half years to complete and was centred around educational content for young audiences. It is built on ten core sustainability concepts, which are documented in English and will be translated into Arabic by Emirati experts to widen its influence. Dr Al Nuaimi enlisted his son, Saif, to help him write the books in a storytelling manner that suited his narrative strengths. A 13-year-old child made the graphics, which provide a fresh perspective. Al Nuaimi acknowledged the difficulty of writing for younger readers—unlike his regular university audience—and emphasised the dramatic difference in communication techniques between adults and youngsters. Two years earlier, he wrote a similar book for adults, emphasising the need for flexibility across generations.
