Justin Bieber's Fans Move From One Hit Single To The Next

Forbes3 days ago
When Justin Bieber surprise-released his new album Swag about a month ago, he focused fans' attention on lead single "Daisies." That tune earned a huge debut on a number of Billboard charts and has largely fallen since then, although it has been picking up steam lately on pop radio.
As people move past "Daisies," they've turned their attention to another track from the same project — "Yukon" — which this week reaches a new peak on several tallies and even manages to debut on multiple Billboard rankings at the same time.
'Yukon' Debuts on Three Charts
Bieber's "Yukon," the second official single from Swag, launches on a trio of the rankings in the United States. It opens highest on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, where it begins its time at No. 7. Bieber has now collected 17 top 10s on the list of the top-selling tunes in those styles and a milestone 25 total hits on the roster throughout his career.
Radio Airplay Begins for 'Yukon'
The same Swag single is also just getting started at various radio formats. "Yukon" opens at No. 35 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and just below the top 40 region, at No. 41, on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay list. In both instances, Bieber collects his milestone tenth win.
'Yukon' Climbs to New Peaks on Multiple Tallies
As "Yukon" debuts on three charts, the cut hits a new all-time best showing on two other tallies. On the Rhythmic Airplay chart, "Yukon" surges from No. 33, where it debuted last week, to No. 17. At the same time, it improves its standing by just one space on the R&B Digital Song Sales roster, leaping to No. 5.
R&B Success Keeps 'Yukon' at the Top
"Yukon" is proving to be a huge win specifically in the R&B space, as it's being pushed to that audience, while "Daisies" caters more to those who favor pop. "Yukon" holds at No. 1 on the R&B Streaming Songs ranking and No. 3 on the Hot R&B Songs chart, even as it declines on more generalized lists like the Hot 100 and Streaming Songs tally.
'Daisies' Gains Ground on Pop Radio
"Daisies" is also slipping on the Hot 100, Streaming Songs chart, and both of Billboard's worldwide tallies, but when it comes to radio, the still-new cut is gaining ground. Three weeks into its life on both the Pop Airplay and Adult Pop Airplay charts, "Daisies" grows to new highs, hitting No. 17 on the top 40 list and No. 18 on the ranking aimed at a more mature pop-loving audience.
Another Radio Songs Win for Justin Bieber
The cut also becomes another top 40 smash for Bieber on the Radio Songs ranking, where "Yukon" has yet to land. "Daisies" barely makes it to that space as it opens at No. 45, giving the Canadian Grammy winner his thirty-seventh placement on the hugely competitive list.

Justin Bieber says he doesn't deserve to be forgiven in emotional Instagram post

Justin Bieber is crediting his faith to getting through each day. On Tuesday, the "Daisies" singer, 31, took to Instagram to share his gratitude for Jesus and explain why he doesn't feel that he deserves "forgiveness and love." "grateful for a new day," he captioned the post. "grateful for Jesus. he meets me every morning with forgiveness and love that I truly don't deserve." "so grateful that he gives this love so freely, so graciously," he continued. "Wouldn't be able to get thru the day without his love," he added. "It meets me at my lowest." Fans were quick to offer their support. "You deserve all the love and grace you receive, more than you know. Keep your head up," one user commented. "You are deserving of his love. Sending you love, strength and prayers! You got this! There's a reason we're here!" another wrote. In recent months, the pop star has expressed his vulnerability through multiple posts on Instagram. In April, Bieber wrote, "I'm just an average flawed guy. I've done things that have hurt others. I continue to do and say things that hurt others unintentionally. Yet I woke up this morning with another opportunity to grow and not be so selfish today." He went on to write, "LOVE DRAWS US IN. LOVE DOESN'T CONDEMN. LOVE BELIEVES THE BEST. LOVE HOPES ALL THINGS AND ENDURES ALL THINGS. IT DOESN'T KEEP RECORD OF WRONG. LOVE HELPS U TO FORGIVE AND LOVE EVEN YOUR ENEMIES." Bieber made another post shortly after that, telling his followers that "Sometimes I think I'm gonna get exposed if I tell people how selfish I am. Like if I admitted that, maybe people wouldn't like me or trust me." The "Baby" singer explained that he felt that if he was honest about feeling selfish, then he would be "disqualified from the dreams I had of being included," but said that the more honest he is about things, the more freedom he has. In another post, Bieber wrote that he "can't control" how he feels when he wakes up each morning, and that in the past "I would find myself even subconsciously blaming god for the bad feeling I woke up with rather than communicate with him and ask him to help me have a change of perspective." In May, Bieber, who recently released his long-awaited seventh studio album, "Swag," made a public apology to his wife, Hailey Bieber, about her Vogue cover. He took to Instagram to share images from Hailey's photo shoot with Vogue. In his caption, he explained that he'd once told her she'd never land the cover of the legendary fashion magazine. "Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight," he wrote. "I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue, Yikes I know, so mean." He continued, "For some reason because I felt so disrespected I thought I gotta get even... I think as we mature we realize that we're not helping anything by getting even. we're honestly just prolonging what we really want which is intimacy and connection." Bieber, who later deleted his caption, finished his post by dedicating a message directly to his wife, and wrote, "So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn't get a vogue cover cuz clearly i was sadly mistaken." Beyond the Gates Crosses Over With The Young and the Restless — What Brings Devon to Fairmont Crest?

As of Aug. 11, Beyond the Gates and The Young and the Restless officially exist in the same universe. Monday's episode of Beyond the Gates welcomed Bryton James as his Y&R character Devon Winters, and he had serious business to discuss with the first family of Fairmont Crest. More from TVLine Casting News: Will Trent Ups Kevin Daniels to Regular, Strangers With Candy Reunion and More Save the Dates: Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Season 2, Outer Banks Team's New Show and More Mike Colter to Star in Cupertino Legal Drama From Evil's Robert and Michelle King Devon entered the country club dining room towards the end of the hour, where he received a warm welcome from Anita and Vernon, who were apparently close friends with his father (played by the late Kristoff St. John). 'How we miss Neil,' Anita said. 'His smile, his big heart, his love of music.' Devon admitted to being nervous the first time his father introduced him to Anita at Indigo (aka the old jazz club on Y&R), but he seems much more at ease now — which is good, because he had a 'mind-blowing proposition' for the lead singer of the Articulettes. After being 'blown away' watching a livestream of the reunion concert, Devon knew he had his 'next platinum project' for his jazz label Winter's Mood, offering Anita a recording contract for a new album on which she would have 'complete creative control.' It was a tempting opportunity, but Anita replied, 'I simply don't have the bandwidth to record, let alone produce, an album at the moment.' Vernon suggested that Anita take a few days to reconsider, but she insisted that she needs to stay close to her family. Devon even offered to book a studio in D.C. to keep her nearby, but her mind had already been made up. She did, however, offer an enticing alternative: what if he signs Tracy and Sharon, with Anita appearing as a featured artist on several tracks? Even better, they can rerelease 'Let's Get Closer,' this time with Barbara's vocals included. It wasn't the deal he came for, but Devon seemed pretty pleased with the outcome of his brief meeting with Anita, telling her and Vernon to check out the new Winters Lounge at the Genoa City Athletic Club the next time they're in town. He also bumped into Dani on his way out of the country club. It was a blink-and-you-missed-it encounter, but Dani definitely liked what she saw. James, who was first introduced to TV viewers as Family Matters tyke Richie Crawford, has forged an impressive career in daytime. His work as Devon on The Young and the Restless, a role he has played since 2004, has earned him two Daytime Emmy Awards. Did you enjoy Beyond the Gates' first major crossover? Are you hoping that Anita will return the favor with a trip to Y&R? And which other residents of Genoa City would you like to see in Fairmont Crest? Drop a comment with your thoughts below. G-Dragon Label Galaxy Corporation Sets US Virtual K-Pop Group Audition

Galaxy Corporation, the AI entertainment-technology company that's the music label and management home to K-pop icon G-Dragon, announced it will visit the United States in hopes of discovering talent for an upcoming K-pop group with a twist — the group is virtual. With online auditions open today, the 2025 Global Virtual Artist Audition will take place in Los Angeles in September. This marks Galaxy Corporation's first large-scale talent search after launching its artist division that includes the BIGBANG leader and adds fuel to the ever-expanding definition of who and what makes a K-pop star. According to a press release, those successfully recruited will undergo professional training in singing, rapping and dancing, while also being paired with an avatar to represent a digital identity to embody the artists. Galaxy Corporation says these identities will 'transcend physical boundaries and allow them to perform, connect, and evolve in real time across global platforms.' Trainees will also receive specialized training in motion capture, digital stage presence and fan interaction through immersive media. Virtual bands where animated avatars represent singers are not unheard of around the world. From Japan and South Korea's first experiments in the '90s to Damon Albarn's Gorillaz, modern technology has allowed virtual artists to compete with real-life singers as seen with Korean boy band PLAVE (who perform with motion-capture technology and sold more than a million copies of their last album) and Japanese singer Ado (whose performances through anime avatars are selling out arenas around the world). Those in the industry have shared that while there are substantial, up-front investments in the technology to launch virtual artists, there are far fewer expenditures that traditional artists need for things like hair, makeup and long-distance travel. While Galaxy Corp has not yet launched any new artists or groups of its own, establishing itself as a home for virtual K-pop groups can help further distinguish itself in the increasingly competitive K-pop industry as an agency exploring different avenues in entertainment, as seen in their work producing the hit Netflix reality competition series, Physical 100. While G-Dragon is not part of the virtual group, Galaxy Corporation has been actively supporting the star since his 2014 signing. The 'enter-tech' company helped the star make his musical comeback with his first new solo music since 2017 via the single 'POWER' that kicked off a new partnership with indie-music giant EMPIRE. This past February, G-Dragon released his third studio album, Ubermensch, which included contributions from Anderson. Paak, Nile Rodgers, Teddy, Diane Warren and his BIGBANG band mates Taeyang and Daesung. The LP's accompanying world tour has played dates across Asia and Australia and plays in Newark, Las Vegas and Los Angeles in the coming weeks. On August 18, singer-songwriter VINCE drops his new single 'CHA CHA CHA' featuring GD. How the Global Virtual Artist Audition Works Applicants of any age or gender can submit a single performance video of at least one minute between August 13 (12:00 AM PT) and August 26, 2025 (11:59 PM PT). You can apply online through this form now. The in-person auditions will take place in Los Angeles on September 8, 2025 at the El Rey Theatre. Galaxy will recruit across four categories — Vocal, Rap, Dance and All-Rounder — with successful candidates undergoing the next steps of training. All genres of music are welcome to be showcased. More information can be found on Galaxy Corporation's Audition YouTube channel.
