I, Robot star hints at drama on Will Smith film after claiming his cyborg role 'tested higher' with audiences
A former costar of actor Will Smith insinuated that the actor used his clout to minimize his presence in a film more than two decades back - impacting his career in the process. Alan Tudyk, 54, portrayed the role of Sonny in the 2004 film iRobot, in which Smith, 56, starred as Del Spooner. Tudyk said that he was unceremoniously dumped from promotional materials when his character began testing higher than Smith's with trial audiences. Tudyk, appearing on Toon'd In with Jimmy Cummings, explained the course of events that led to him being minimized in the promotional rollout of the motion picture. 'They were doing test audiences with the movie,' Tudyk said on the June 15 edition of the podcast, which has begun to go viral. Tudyk continued: 'They score the characters and I got word back, "Alan, you're testing higher than Will Smith."' 'And then I was gone - I was gone,' Tudyk said. 'There was no publicity and my name was not mentioned.' Tudyk said he was 'so shocked' and concerned moviegoers weren't 'going to know' he played a key role in the motion picture. This is not Smith's first time publicly clashing with a costar: In 1993 he had a well-publicized feud with his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air castmate Janet Hubert, which ultimately resulted from her dismissal from the show. Hubert did reunite with Smith and the cast during a 2020 reunion that aired on HBO Max. Smith in the special admitted that he 'wasn't sensitive' and 'wasn't perceptive' to struggles Hubert was dealing with, as she was pregnant at the time of their row. 'Now that I've had three kids I've learned some things that I did not know at the time,' he said, 'and I would do things very differently - but I can see where I made the set very difficult for Janet.' The Academy Award-winning King Richard star continues to try and rebuild his reputation more than three years after he slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars. Smith's infamous slap of Chris Rock came on March 27, 2022, after the comedian made a joke about Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. The joke was about her shaved head, saying, 'Jada, I love you, G.I. Jane 2, can't wait to see it!' in a reference to the 1997 movie which featured Demi Moore with a shaved head. (Pinkett Smith has diagnosed with alopecia, which causes hair loss.) Smith then walked onstage and smacked Rock, then returned to his seat and shouted at him twice, 'Keep my wife's name out of your f***ing mouth!' to a stunned audience. Later in the evening - in his acceptance speech after winning the Best Actor Oscar for his role as tennis patriarch Richard Williams in King Richard - Smith apologized to the Academy and other nominees, but made no reference to Rock. Smith subsequently apologized on multiple occasions over the incident, and resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ahead of being issued a 10-year ban from the Oscars. In an apology he issued in July of 2022 over the incident in an online clip, Smith said his spouse 'had nothing to do with' his attack on Rock. 'I made a choice on my own from my own experiences, from my history with Chris,' he said. 'I want to say sorry to my kids and my family for the heat that I've brought on all of us.' He added: 'I've reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he's not ready to talk, and when he is he will reach out. So I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable, and I'm here whenever you're ready to talk.'

Angelina Jolie is the latest star to LEAVE Hollywood as she plots 'historic' home sale
is reportedly looking to sell her historic Los Angeles home and move abroad. The Maria actress, 50, is set to become the latest star to leave Hollywood and is 'eyeing several locations abroad' according to People. The mom-of-six wants to 'put the house up for sale' and move when her youngest kids, twins Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 next year. She shares the twins as well as Maddox, 24, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, and Shiloh, 19, with ex-husband Brad Pitt, 61. The Oscar winner 'never wanted to live in L.A. full time' but she 'didn't have a choice because of the custody arrangement with Brad,' a source told the publication. The exes reached a settlement in their ugly divorce in December 2024 after an eight-year legal battle. 'She'll be very happy when she's able to leave Los Angeles,' the insider added. has reached out to Jolie's representatives for comment. The insider went on to say that Jolie's estate is 'a historic masterpiece.' The actress is reportedly looking to make some minor improvements before putting the home on the market. The historic estate, once owned by iconic Hollywood director Cecil B. DeMille, was purchased by Angelina in 2017 for a cool $24.5 million. It boasts six bedrooms, ten bathrooms, and comes complete with stunning architecture, world-class gardens, an on-site library and much more. As well as huge gardens with a swimming pool, the property is surrounded with lush greenery and retro chic arched fountains. A tea house looks out onto the swimming pool, and there's also a fitness room in the pool house. She bought the home just eight-months after her split from Pitt. The property's rich Hollywood history began in 1916 when it was purchased by DeMille for less than $28,000. He went on to expand the estate by buying the neighboring home, which had been owned by screen legend Charlie Chaplin, and merging the two properties. The Oscar winner 'never wanted to live in L.A. full time' but she 'didn't have a choice because of the custody arrangement' with her ex-husband Brad Pitt, 61; The two seen in 2011 Jolie previously opened up about her desire to leave Los Angeles in 2024, but said she had to remain in California until her and Pitt's six children all turn 18. 'I grew up in this town [Los Angeles]. I am here because I have to be here from a divorce, but as soon as they're 18, I'll be able to leave,' she told The Hollywood Reporter. She continued: 'When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety. I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be … that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here.' After her youngest two children become legal adults, Jolie said she plans on spending 'a lot of time in Cambodia' and visiting her 'family members wherever they may be in the world.' Jolie will join a number of other Hollywood stars who've left Los Angeles in recent years, including Natalie Portman, Mark Wahlberg, Eva Longoria, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Sophie Turner as well as Rosie O'Donnell among others. Earlier this month it was reported that Jolie is having a tough time with daughter Shiloh's next chapter, as the 19-year-old has flown the nest with her rumored love interest, dancer Keoni Rose. Sources told the Daily Mail that Shiloh, who recently dropped her famous dad's last name amid their estrangement, has 'temporarily moved in' with Keoni for the summer. Exclusive photos obtained by the Daily Mail confirmed the move, showing the rumored couple hugging outside their shared Los Angeles condo. The reported move also comes after cops arrested a trespasser in Jolie's Los Angeles neighborhood. In July law enforcement detained an individual who entered the Los Feliz enclave by slipping through a gate. It happened shortly after Jolie's ex-husband Pitt's home was broken into while he was in Tokyo. The actor's neighbors have suggested security at the mansion may have been compromised in the days leading up to the dramatic break-in. Pitt and Jolie's romance began in the early 2000s, and they tied the knot in 2014 at their château in the South of France. But by 2016, their union was over in dramatic fashion, with a now-infamous private plane incident involving an alleged physical altercation. The bitter divorce was not finalized until late 2024, and his fractured relationship with their six children remains unresolved.
