Kyle Sandilands reveals mortifying first day on set of his new Hollywood film: 'I was humiliated'
Kyle Sandilands ' big screen career has gotten off to quite the shaky start.
The KIIS FM star, 53, jetted off to the Gold Coast to shoot scenes for his Hollywood debut in the campy action flick Zombie Plane.
Kyle revealed on Tuesday that his first foray in front of the camera appeared doomed before he even got off the plane.
He explained that he was 'humiliated' by Aussie actor Stephen Curry about his date of birth after calling it out on air.
'I was humiliated yesterday. You might remember me mentioning Stephen Curry's birthday. Stephen Curry is the actor from The Castle.'
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
Kyle went on to explain that Stephen was on the same flight to the Gold Coast on Monday night.
'I look over and there's Stephen Curry sitting opposite me. I said, "happy birthday, mate", and he said "hey?" I said, "isn't it your birthday?" and he said "No".'
Adding that Stephen was not forthcoming with his actual date of birth, Kyle added that he then chastised producer Bruno Boucher for giving him false information.
Bruno however defended himself saying all sources pointed to the actor's birthday being May 26.
Kyle, who will play a billionaire yacht owner in the film, then went off to costuming where he embarrassed himself in front of the actor again, as well as production staff.
'I've walked in and there's Stephen Curry looking like an anorexic Mr Magoo and I said, "it is your birthday", and he went, "it's not I don't know what to tell you", and then everyone looked at me.'
Kyle's set troubles didn't end there, with the radio star admitting he wasn't the biggest fan of his on screen attire.
'I said, "okay what am I wearing",' Kyle said.
'[They said] we've been on the boat with the real guy and the captain wears the same clothes as the other guys.'
This did not sit well with Kyle who said he felt like a particular reality TV show character.
'All of a sudden I'm Captain Sandy from Below Deck looking like every other b***ard,' he said.
'Bruno knew I was distressed. I'm not coming up here to play an employee.'
Bruno and newsreader Brooklyn Ross tried to soothe Kyle's ego saying the costume may be for comedic effect.
'So I've been brought in to be laughed at?' Kyle replied.
'Maybe I should just come home. I feel this whole thing is a disaster.'
The KIIS FM star revealed on his The Kyle & Jackie O show on Monday morning that he is making his movie debut alongside Chuck Norris for the actor's final-ever film.
Kyle also admitted that he was quite chuffed to be starring alongside his childhood hero and action veteran Chuck.
'Didn't you use to watch Chuck Norris growing up and want to be him?' Jackie 'O' Henderson asked her co-star, to which he replied 'Oh, 100 per cent yes.'
He then went on to explain the action packed plot of the upcoming flick.
'Prepare yourself. Zombie Plane. That's right. Zombie Plane,' Kyle said, revealing the film's title.
'Sydney to LA, a flight is taken over by zombies and an eclectic group of high-profile passengers led by celebrities turned secret agents must band together to fight to save humanity. Have you ever heard of a better plot ever?'
Jackie agreed, saying the film had 'Oscars written all over it'.
'I'm actually picking out my Oscars outfit now,' Kyle said in anticipation of his soon-to-be superstardom.
'Who's doing the soundtrack? Flo Rida. Hello. Everything's lined up for success here. I love it. We'll be going to Cannes, probably. We'll be going to all the film festivals.'
He added: 'Move over, Leo. You've had your turn. It's Sandilands' turn.'
Zombie Plane tells the story of high-profile celebrities fighting Zombies on a flight from Sydney to Los Angeles.
It stars Chuck Norris, Vanilla Ice, Ice T, Sir Bob Geldof, Brian Austin Green and Sophie Monk as fictitious versions of themselves.
Australian stars Natalie Bassingwaithe, Cody Simpson, Matt Okine, Dan Ewing and Amy Shark are also set to appear in the film.

Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman join Australia SailGP team as co-owners
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman become co-owners of the Australia SailGP team on Thursday. The 'Deadpool & Wolverine' stars joined driver and CEO Tom Slingsby in leading the team's rebrand after several successful seasons, winning three championships in its four seasons. The team will be called the BONDS Flying Roos, with the Australian underwear company BONDS as its title partner. 'We're incredibly excited to set sail together in this new adventure," Reynolds and Jackman said in a joint statement released through SailGP. "Hugh brings a deep love for and pride in his home country, as well as being an avid fan of sailing. He will also be bringing his overly clingy emotional support human along for the ride. Apologies in advance to Australia. No comment on whether we're writing this in our BONDS. No further questions.' It's the latest sports venture for Reynolds, who along with fellow Hollywood actor Rob McElhenney is a co-owner of Wrexham, one of the world's oldest soccer clubs. Reynolds and McElhenney were also part of an investment group that acquired Colombian club La Equidad earlier this year. The BONDS Flying Roos SailGP Team is expected to make its debut at the Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix starting June 7. Slingsby, an Olympic gold medalist, said in a release that Jackman and Reynolds bring 'unmatched star power, a love for storytelling, and a sharp sense of (humor) that fits perfectly with our team." "With BONDS joining as our Title Partner and the launch of the BONDS Flying Roos," Slingsby added, "we're building something distinctly Australian; a team driven by spirit, resilience, and national pride.' ___
