ABU DHABI (WAM)President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message of condolences to President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation over the victims of the plane crash in Tynda, a town in the Amur region.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, sent similar messages to the Russian President.

UAE, Jordan planes drop 25 tonnes of aid over Gaza as hundreds die from starvation

Two Jordanian and one Emirati plane dropped 25 tonnes of humanitarian aid over the Gaza Strip on Sunday, the Jordanian army said in a statement. "The Jordanian Armed Forces on Sunday carried out three air drops on the Gaza Strip carrying humanitarian and food aid, one of which was with the United Arab Emirates," the statement said, adding that they were carrying 25 tonnes of aid. On Saturday, July 26, UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan confirmed the Emirates would immediately resume airdrop operations to Gaza as part of its ongoing humanitarian mission. In a statement posted, the minister said the humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached a critical and unprecedented level, underscoring the urgent need for sustained international aid efforts. Israeli army had said a day earlier that Israel would allow foreign countries to parachute aid into Gaza starting on Friday. Meanwhile, the Israeli military announced a pause in military activity in designated areas in Gaza where it is 'not operating' today. It said that the pause will be daily in three areas of Gaza starting on Sunday, starting at 10am and lasting until 8pm.

27 July 2025 16:28 ABU DHABI (WAM)The National Media Office (NMO), in the presence of Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the NMO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Media Council, organised a ceremony to honour a group of media professionals and content creators who have made significant contributions in supporting the national media Al Hamed emphasised the National Media Office's commitment to engaging with media professionals and content creators in appreciation of their vital role in portraying the positive image of the United Arab Emirates, raising societal awareness, and highlighting national achievements in a professional and purposeful noted that this recognition stems from the NMO's belief in the importance of supporting talent and motivating them to continue their creativity, thereby reinforcing the media message that reflects the country's values and future also pointed out that the BRIDGE Summit, scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi from December 8 to 10, represents an important opportunity to unify the efforts of media professionals, creators, and content producers under one umbrella that presents to the world a model of media based on positive influence.
