Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain's Sheel Verma Love For Mumbai Rains Is All Of Us
Last Updated:
As the city of dreams recently witnessed a spell of rainfall, actor Sheel Verma revealed what he loves about Mumbai rains.
The arrival of rain adds a unique appeal to Mumbai. It turns the city into a lush, vibrant landscape, with the refreshing rains wiping away the heat and dust and revealing a different aspect of its beauty. As the city of dreams recently witnessed a spell of rainfall, the cool breeze and the scent of wet earth brought instant relief to many residents, including actor Sheel Verma, known for playing Jaiveer in the show Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain.
Expressing his love for this season, Sheel said, 'I enjoy rains and the earthy fragrance that comes after the first rainfall; it's something I always look forward to. Yesterday, on my way home from a shoot, it began to rain, so I took a longer route with my favourite music playing in the car," as quoted by Filmibeat.
He added, 'In the morning, the sun was back, so I had no expectations. But, surprisingly, it started raining again – and it's times like this when I happily ignore my diet. I got myself a nice cup of tea and ordered some samosas – the ideal way to enjoy the beautiful weather. As they say in the film Wake Up Sid, 'Mumbai rains are absolutely to die for' – and I couldn't agree more."
On the work front, Sheel is currently winning hearts with his performance as Jaiveer. In the television series, his character often gets duped by Chamkili (played by Ishita Ganguly), while his wife Chaina (played by Diksha Dhami) acts as his keeper, shielding him and his family from danger.
Previously, speaking about being a part of the show, Sheel said, 'This is my first time playing the lead in a television show. So far, I'm really liking it. I've worked in films before, but having a major role on television is unique and fascinating."
'Jaiveer, the character I play in the show, is someone with whom I have a personal connection, and I am thoroughly enjoying portraying him. Jaiveer is a vibrant, cheery person, yet his rough background has left him short-tempered. This contrast makes the character accessible to me," he added, as quoted by ETimesTV.
The show airs from Monday to Saturday at 9 pm on Shemaroo Umang.

Amol Parashar BREAKS Silence On Dating Rumours With Konkona Sensharma: 'Agar Shaadi Hogi...'
Last Updated: Amol Parashar seemed amused at how his personal life has grabbed more attention than his work. Actor Amol Parashar has finally addressed the dating rumours linking him with Wake Up Sid star Konkona Sen Sharma. The buzz around their alleged relationship started gaining momentum after the two were spotted together at a screening of Amol's latest web series. While the two have maintained silence so far, Amol has now chosen to speak up—though with caution. In an interview, Amol clarified, 'Nobody asked me. Instead, everyone started bringing their assumptions to the table. Earlier, I would react to every news, but now I have learnt to just move on. Agar kuch hoga aur mujhe share karna hoga, toh I will share it on social media myself." On being asked about their dynamic, Amol avoided labels, instead focusing on mutual happiness. 'See, you have people in life. Kisi se aap close hote hain, aur kisi se aap zyaada close hote hain. Naming every relation is not necessary… Aap khush, samne waala khush aur gharwale khush, that's it!" He also recalled a similar situation with his Sardar Udham co-star Vicky Kaushal. 'I remember something similar happening with Vicky, and I was like: 'Bhai, bata do sabko because people are asking me'. And he was like: 'I will, at the right time'." Amol seemed amused at how his personal life has grabbed more attention than his work. 'Logon ko mazaa aa raha hai. Aap karlo kitni bhi acting, views link-up news ko hi milte hain," he quipped. On marriage, the actor said he's open to surprises. 'Kuch bhi ho sakta hai. I love surprising myself, and my family knows that. Agar shaadi hogi, toh I, too, will post it on Insta (laughs), as that's what matters to everyone. But as of now, I have nothing to talk about." Work-wise, Amol has made a return to theatre after a decade with his solo play Besharam Aadmi. 'It's after ten years I am back to theatre… Already done seven shows." He also hinted at a second season of Gram Chikatsalay, adding, 'My character dies in Kull, but in the other series I'm very much alive." First Published:
