New Delhi – As per the month-on-month market share data, JSW MG Motor India maintained its remarkable growth in the electric vehicle (EV) segment through the H1, 2025. The brand started strong, hitting 28% in January, experiencing a dip to 24% in February due to production constraints in Halol, but then rising to 31% in March and 33% in April to further strengthen its efforts in the EV industry, further enhancing its leadership in the EV sector.
For the month of May & June, the brand maintained a robust momentum at a strong 32%. Growth has come from strong customer reception of the MG Windsor and impressive sales of Comet EV and ZS EV. The prices of the MG ZS EV were recently slashed, making it even more appealing for e-SUV enthusiasts. MG distinguishes itself in the highly competitive electric vehicle market through a strategic blend of advanced technology, reliable real-world range, and competitive pricing. This combination delivers outstanding value and performance, positioning MG as a leading choice in the EV segment for discerning buyers seeking both innovation and affordability.

It is expected to be the blacked-out version of the BE 6. In the teaser, the silhouette of the BE 6 is visible. This is the first blacked-out version of an electric SUV that the brand is making. As of now, we do not know what the new special edition will be called. The brand already sells the Carbon Edition of the Scorpio N and Ebony Edition of the XUV700. The BE 6 will get a black exterior paint job, along with alloy wheels now also finished in black. Apart from this, the interior will also get black upholstery along with piano black inserts. The car has surpassed the 36,000 unit sales milestone since its introduction, further solidifying its status as a segment leader. The robust sales have resulted in MG's EV market share increasing to 32 per cent during Q2 CY2025, a 4 per cent rise from the last quarter. During the same period, average Windsor sales rose by 17 per cent, while overall EV wholesales for the brand grew by 28 per cent. MG Windsor EV: Design The MG Windsor EV exhibits a design that is unlike any crossover on the market today, as it combines style elements of a hatchback, MPV and compact SUV. Up front, it features a split lighting design with LED daytime running lights and projector headlights, as well as an illuminated MG logo. The side profile of the car features flowing lines, large windows and alloy wheels, as well as a blacked-out pillar on certain trims, giving it a floating roof look. It gets a feature loaded cabin. Inside, the Windsor offers 'Aero Lounge' seats that recline up to 135 degrees — a feature rarely seen in this price bracket. The 15.6-inch touchscreen dominates the centre console, which controls most of the functions including navigation, infotainment and vehicle controls. MG also offers a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, starting at ₹9.99 lakh plus a per-kilometre fee, lowering the upfront cost for buyers. The electric powertrain churns out 134 bhp peak power and 200 Nm of maximum torque. The EV promises up to 331 kilometre range on a single charge. Meanwhile, the Pro variants get the larger 52.9 kWh battery pack which is claimed to provide a range of 449 km on a single charge. The power out of the Pro variants however remains the same. What makes the MG Windsor EV opular The Windsor's popularity can be attributed to a mix of affordability, practicality, and features that feel premium for the segment. Its aggressive starting price, along with BaaS, has made EV ownership affordable. The spacious cabin and reclining seats attract chauffeur-driven customers, while the crossover format is functional to families. Its long list of tech features, segment-first comfort features and reliable charging network support makes this vehicle in a strong advantageous position over its competition like the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400, and the Hyundai Creta Electric and the Tata Curvv EV. MG has started deliveries for the Cyberster, the carmaker's electric two-door convertible in India. The very first MG Cyberster has been presented to the owner by his family as a surprise. Recently launched, the MG Cyberster features electric scissor doors and modern amenities, making it a distinctive option in India. The newly bought vehicle was posted on social media as the owners received it in the 'Flare Red' colour option. The MG Cyberster, India's first electric roadster, has begun deliveries. This two-door convertible features a 77 kWh battery, 510 PS output, and a 0-100 kmph time of 3.2 seconds. Most of the users commenting on the post congratulated the owner; however, one of the users commented, 'Sir, what do you do for a living?" The Cyberster is the country's first electric roadster, imported as a Completely Built-Up unit. Design-wise, the EV boasts a striking, low-slung, convertible form. Built on a dedicated EV platform with a 2,690mm wheelbase, it sports 20-inch staggered alloy wheels. The rear features a subtly drooping boot with a modest lip. The smooth shoulder lines and overall shape emphasise aerodynamics, with a drag coefficient of 0.269. The MG Cyberster will be available in India with four exterior colours: Nuclear Yellow with black roof, Flare Red with black roof, Andes Grey with red roof, and Modern Beige with red roof. How much performance and range does MG Cyberster pack? Powering the sports car is a 77 kWh battery placed between the axles, forming the floor. Paired with dual electric motors, it produces 503 bhp and 725 Nm of torque. MG claims 0-100 kmph acceleration in 3.2 seconds, making it the most powerful MG production model, with a range of up to 510 km on a full charge. Globally, MG offers a rear-wheel drive version with a smaller 64 kWh battery, delivering 295 bhp and a slightly improved range of 519 km. What are the highlight features of the MG Cyberster? The interior features two 7-inch digital screens and a 10.25-inch central infotainment unit. Upholstery combines suede and vegan leather, and comfort features include dual-zone climate control, a PM 2.5 filter, and a Bose audio system. The sporty cabin includes performance-style seats, a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel with integrated controls, and a rotary launch control selector. Paddle shifters allow adjustment of regenerative braking. Chassis tuning was led by ex-Formula 1 engineer Marco Fainello, with Brembo brakes enabling a stop from 100 to 0 kmph in 33 metres. Safety features encompass Level 2 ADAS, a Driver Monitoring System, multiple airbags, electronic stability control, and a body structure designed to resist rollover. The Side Stability Factor (SSF) is claimed to be 1.83. What is the pricing for the MG Cyberster? Bookings are available online or at 'MG Select' centres in 13 Indian cities, including a portable 3.3 kW charger, a 7.4 kW wall box charger and installation.
