KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating a viral 14-second video showing a woman jumping from a moving vehicle on the SPRINT Highway.
The footage, shared on a Facebook account named Lion Wong, captured the woman exiting the speeding car.
Brickfields police chief ACP Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood confirmed the incident but noted no official report has been filed.
'The woman fell onto the road and was nearly hit by several vehicles,' he said.
Authorities have urged witnesses or those with information to contact the Brickfields Police Operations Room at 03-22979222.

GOF Northern Brigade commander, SAC Shahrum Hashim said a man, 44, was also arrested during the operation between 3.15 pm to 5.45 pm. 'The operation team detained a trailer lorry carrying 670 gunny sacks of white Thai rice, each weighing 50 kg, while it was on its way to a rice warehouse in Perak,' he said in a statement here today.

Six men remanded over armed assault outside nightclub

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have remanded six men for four days after a 29-year-old man was assaulted by a group of armed individuals outside a nightclub in the city. Brickfields police chief Assistant Commissioner Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said the suspects, aged between 25 and 29, were arrested following a report lodged at 9.33am yesterday. A 28-second video of the incident has since gone viral, showing the victim being attacked and sustaining injuries to his back. "The case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for possessing weapons during a riot, and Section 326 for voluntarily causing grievous hurt," he said in a statement today. He added that police obtained a four-day remand order for all suspects under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code, until Thursday.

The victim claimed he was assaulted by a group of unidentified men while leaving the nightclub, sustaining injuries to his back. "Acting on the information, six suspects aged 25 to 29 were arrested. All are remanded for four days until Aug 21," he said in a statement on Sunday (Aug 18), adding that the case was being investigated under Sections 148 and 326 of the Penal Code.
