Pedestrian killed in crash along Lougheed Highway in Pitt Meadows

A pedestrian was killed in a crash that shut down several lanes of the Lougheed Highway in Pitt Meadows early Wednesday morning.
Ridge Meadows RCMP said officers responded around 2:40 a.m. to reports of a serious vehicle incident that involved a pedestrian in the 18900 block of the highway.
They said the female pedestrian was deceased when they arrived.
Lougheed Highway's westbound lanes at Harris Road were shut down and DriveBC said they remain closed as of 7 a.m.
There is no estimated time of reopening and DriveBC said drivers should expect major delays on alternate routes.
Police said they're investigating the crash and that no further information is available at this time. They're asking witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage to contact them.

Newark motorcyclist killed in early-morning crash on Brownsville Road in Hanover Township

A Newark man was killed in an early-morning motorcycle crash June 18 in Hanover Township, in southeastern Licking County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Dylan Lee McPherson, 22, of Newark, was driving a 2016 Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle on Brownsville Road Southeast near Staddens Bridge Road Southeast, when he traveled off the right side road, hit a guardrail and overturned just after 6 a.m. June 18, according to a Highway Patrol news release. McPherson was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene, according to the Highway Patrol. The crash remains under investigation. The sheriff's office directed further questions to the Beverly Hills Police Department, which is leading the investigation. CBS News Detroit contacted Beverly Hills police for comment.
