According to Vanity, the billboard served as both a gesture of support for fellow late-night host Stephen Colbert and a pointed commentary on CBS's recent cancellation of 'The Late Show.'
Stephen Colbert's Late Show was unceremoniously cancelled by CBS days after he was nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Talk Series category. CBS cancelled Colbert's program last month prior to Paramount Global's merger with Skydance Media, Variety reported.
It had cited cost-cutting measures as the primary reason for ending the long-running series. However, the cancellation of the show sparked speculation about potential political motivations, given late-night television's increasingly critical coverage of political figures, including President Donald Trump.
In a statement previously shared with PEOPLE, CBS said, "This is purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night. It is not related in any way to the show's performance, content, or other matters happening at Paramount."
Colbert took over the show in September 2015 following David Letterman's departure. The cancellation came days after Colbert openly criticised the network's parent company for its sizable settlement with President Donald Trump.
Following the network's announcement to cancel the popular program on July 17, several late-night hosts showed solidarity for Colbert, including Kimmel and Jon Stewart, who hosts The Daily Show.
Immediately after the cancellation news, Kimmel reportedly shared a clip of Colbert from the July 17 broadcast. "Love you Stephen," Kimmel wrote. He also called out the network behind the decision. "F--- you and all your Sheldons CBS," Kimmel added.
This year's talk series category features 'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert' alongside ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' and Comedy Central's 'The Daily Show.'
The category represents one of only 15 Emmy categories decided by the full Television Academy membership, amplifying the impact of Kimmel's public endorsement.
The 77th Emmy Awards, hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze, will broadcast live on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS. The ceremony will also stream live and on-demand through select Paramount+ packages.

Washington: US President Donald Trump called popular late-night host Stephen Colbert 'talentless' after CBS announced it would cancel The Late Show with Stephen Colbert following a 10-year run. Speaking at a press conference at the White House, President Trump criticised Colbert and predicted that other late-night hosts such as Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel would also lose their shows soon. Following the cancellation announcement, Trump expressed his happiness in a post on his Truth Social platform and also took aim at Jimmy Kimmel. "I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert! Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined, including the Moron on NBC who ruined the once great Tonight Show," Trump posted on July 18. CBS, however, said the cancellation was not related to the show's performance. In a statement, the network said, the cancellation of 'The Late Show' was purely a "financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night" and is not related in any way to the show's performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount, in reference to the possible acquisition of its parent company, Paramount Global, by Skydance. The decision has surprised many, including fellow late-night host Andy Cohen. Speaking to Deadline at the Las Culturistas Culture Awards, Cohen called the cancellation "a sad day for late-night television". "I think it's a sad day for late-night television. I think it's a sad day for CBS. I think Stephen Colbert is a singular talent. He's going to have an incredible next chapter," Cohen said. "I can't believe CBS is turning off the lights at 11:30 after the local news. I'm stunned. He's one of three late-night shows deemed worthy enough for an Emmy nomination. He produces a brilliant show," he added. According to PEOPLE, Colbert made the announcement during the show's taping on July 17 at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York. He took over the programme in September 2015, following the retirement of David Letterman. The show is expected to end in May next year.

Logan Marshall-Green joins Yellowstone spin-off series Y: Marshals cast
Washington DC [US], August 7 (ANI): Actor Logan Marshall-Green has joined the cast of the upcoming spinoff of the 'Yellowstone' series, 'Y: Marshals', which centres on Luke Grimes' character Kayce Dutton, reported Variety. According to the outlet, Marshall-Green will play the role of Pete Calvin, a friend from Kayce's time in the logline of the series states, 'With the Yellowstone Ranch behind him, Dutton joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, duty and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region's war on violence," as quoted by Variety.
