Jude Bellingham could be sidelined until October following shoulder surgery
The surgery is reportedly set to sideline him until October, but the Spanish club did not confirm any length of absence, saying only that Bellingham would now 'begin a period of rehabilitation prior to his return to recovery work'.

Real said the surgery had been performed by Drs Manuel Leyes and Andrew Wallace, under the supervision of Real Madrid Medical Services.
Bellingham is now set to miss the start of Real's LaLiga campaign and also England's World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia in September.
The 22-year-old and his Real team-mates came home empty-handed from the Club World Cup to round off a disappointing campaign where they finished runners-up to Barcelona in the league and fell to Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Carlo Ancelotti, who stood down as Real coach at the end of the regular season but before the Club World Cup, highlighted the issue with Bellingham's shoulder back in December 2023 and said at the time: 'The shoulder is very particular.
'If it happens again or keeps happening, maybe (he will need surgery), but we will see.'

Christiansen also blasted Caldentey and Putellas for failing to score their penalties for Spain in the ninth minute and 99th minute respectively. The ex-England star, capped 31 times, described Caldentey's penalty as 'really poorly executed' and Putellas' spot-kick as 'terrible'. Speaking after the match, Christiansen added: 'Based on tonight's performance, I don't think Spain would [get to the final] because France and Germany would [have beaten them]. 'I also think Laia Aleixandri was lucky to stay on the pitch. Spain will know they have to improve if they are to beat France or Germany. 'Spain will take confidence after being poor this evening and getting the job done.' Meanwhile, a number of former England players hailed Switzerland for their performance after the match despite their loss to Spain. Former England defender Anita Asante told the BBC: 'We knew it would be nothing short of a miracle for Switzerland to get a result tonight, but they can take heart and credit for their performance. Tierney: Brendan Rodgers' contract no distraction for Celtic

Tierney admitted he's thrilled to be hooking up with his old gaffer again – and he's seen no signs Rodgers is winding down to an exit. 'I know how much I focus on my body, my recovery, and doing everything I can to be in the best possible shape that I can be, so that's all I can think about. 'I can't sit and worry about what ifs or anything. I think what can I do just to be in the best condition that I can be in.' Meanwhile striker Shin Yamada is expected to rubber stamp a four-year deal over the weekend while Rodgers is still on the hunt for new faces. Royal Antwerp winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha remains high on the wishlist with the Belgians ready to lower their £5m demands while Celts are cool on talk in Romania over a move for Cluj hitman Louis Munteanu, with the 25-year-old being tracked by teams in France. Celts are set to step up their pre-season plans against Newcastle today and Tierney added: "I think always when there's a Scottish-English team playing each other, the atmosphere is going to be good, there's always going to be a bit of rivalry there.
