What is The Bombing of Pan Am 103 about?
The Bombing of Pan Am 103 focuses on the real-life 1988 terrorist attack, which saw an explosive detonating in the plane's hold over the small Scottish town of Lockerbie.
The flight was travelling from London Heathrow to JFK with 270 people killed, including 43 British citizens and 190 Americans.
The Lockerbie Bombing is the worst ever terror attack on British soil and sadly marked the first major act of terrorism against American citizens.
The drama will also look at the police efforts to bring to justice those responsible and the huge impact of the crash on Lockerbie itself.
Filmmaker Adam Morane-Griffiths developed the project and carried out extensive research research, speaking to Scottish police officers and representatives from United States investigative agencies.
Many of those interviewed by Morane-Griffiths had never previously shared their stories, giving a voice to the unheard voices of Lockerbie.
Moreover, programme-makers interviewed many of the families and loved ones of the victims, sharing the impact the bombing had on their lives.
In the wake of the bombing, there was heroic activism and campaigning leading to lasting change in the way authorities approached security, safety and duty of care towards those involved in mass fatality incidents.

No further action taken in Dundee dog cruelty probe
Animal welfare inspectors are taking no further action after concerns were raised over the treatment of dogs at a Dundee flat. The Scottish SPCA received several calls regarding the welfare of the animals in the Hilltown last month. The Courier told how officers were seen removing the dogs from the flat as part of their probe. A spokeswoman said at the time: 'We received several calls regarding the welfare of dogs at a flat in Dundee on Wednesday May 14. 'Our inspectors attended and removed the animals from the property. 'We are unable to comment further as this is a current investigation.' However, the Scottish SPCA has now told The Courier it has concluded its probe and no further action is being taken. The charity says the case is now closed. No further details have been revealed.

Jason Cummings relives aftermath of Open Goal Live controversy that ended Dundee career
Jason Cummings has opened up on the Open Goal Live storm that triggered the end of his Dundee career. After signing from Shrewsbury Town in January 2021, the 29-year-old striker notched 14 goals in 36 appearances for the Dee until a controversial appearance on stage at the Hydro in Glasgow the following December. Less than 48 hours before Dundee were due to face Hearts in the Premiership, Cummings, dressed as the Joker from Batman film 'The Dark Knight', was featured in a live show staged by popular Scottish football podcast Open Goal. Cummings admitted to having 'a few drinks' to settle his nerves before sharing the stage with Graeme Souness and Paolo Di Canio and footage from the event quickly went viral on social media. The following morning, after turning up for training at Dens Park, the ex-Hibs hit man was sent home by furious Dee boss James McPake, then saw his contract ripped up. Speaking on the latest edition of Open Goal, Cummings, now starring and winning multiple titles in India, lifted the lid on his feelings around the incident, and insisted he never wanted to leave Dundee. 'At the time at Dundee, I wasn't playing, so I thought it wouldn't be a problem,' he said. 'It was the next day when I went in. I was alright to train. But see if I'd never [been on stage at the Hydro], if I'd been in the house, nobody would have known. 'Because everyone saw it, Jazza [James McPake] was fuming. 'It's not a big deal. See if that was in Australia or somewhere like that, nothing would have happened. 'They all love all that stuff – off the pitch, do what you want, as long as you play at the weekend and you do well, you score, then it is what it is. 'When I left Dundee that time, when Jazza sent me home, my old man phoned me halfway through the drive home and he's like: 'What have you done? Have you been sent home?' 'It was in the paper before I even got home! That's what's killed me, it's not in-house, it's been in the paper that I've been let go. That killed me. 'I said to Dundee I didn't want to leave. I was happy. I was top scorer, training unreal, the best trainer, flying. 'But Jazza just made his mind up and that was it done. 'After that, with Australia, having two years there, then India, none of that would have happened otherwise, because I really did want to stay.' Cumming signed for Australian side Central Coast Mariners after leaving Dundee and was part of the Socceroos' squad for the World Cup in 2022. After helping the Mariners to glory in the A-League grand final in 2023, he moved to India with Kolkata-based Mohun Bagan, whom he helped to lift last season's ISL League Shield before claiming victory in the ISL grand final.

5 times Stirling and Stirlingshire have featured on property TV shows
A Bridge of Allan family recently appeared on Location, Location, Location. It's not the first time Stirlingshire has featured on a property television show; from Scotland's Home of the Year to Love It or List It, viewers love a peek inside other people's homes. From hunting for the perfect home to renovating run-down rooms – here are five times Stirling or Stirlingshire has featured on property TV shows. A mother and daughter enlisted the help of Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp on Location, Location, Location to find their dream home in Stirling. The Channel 4 show, featuring Lorraine Macleod and Emma Carman, aired in June 2025. The pair, who were living with Lorraine's parents, viewed four homes within their budget of £275,000. However, despite offering well above the asking price for a cottage in Torbrex, Lorraine and Emma lost out on the property. Luckily, they found their dream three-bedroom townhouse in Bridge of Allan for £255,000 after the show. Scotland's Home of the Year has featured several Stirlingshire homes since it first aired in 2019. This year, a steading conversion in Deanston was part of the BBC show. The Dairy, owned by Mhairi and Andrew Wilson since 2023, boasts impressive views over the Trossachs. In 2024, a mill conversion near Dunblane was part of the series. The 200-year-old building had been abandoned for 25 years before it was lovingly restored by Lee and Dawn Collins. Plus, a Georgian renovation in rural Killearn was crowned the winner in 2021. Judges loved The Moss' 'dreamy pink interior' which included a pink Aga cooker in the kitchen. TV presenter Kaye Adams appeared on a celebrity edition of Escape to the Country last year. The Loose Women presenter viewed four properties in Stirlingshire to find a three-bedroom home with open plan living, a garden and space to record her podcast. Kaye, who had a budget of £850,000, said her favourite house looked over Loch Ard. An episode of Homes Under the Hammer featured a Stirling flat last year. A Musical Sink saw host Martel Maxwell, from Dundee, follow Ross as he purchased a damp run-down property in the city centre. He bought the two to three-bedroom flat prior to auction for £135,000 and carried out a five-month renovation to restore it to its former glory. Ross invested £35,000 into the works and turned the property into a short-term let. A property expert valued it as worth £180,000 to £200,000 – a profit of up to £30,000. Kirstie and Phil's Love It or List It has also had a Stirlingshire episode. In series two, the hosts set out to help Karyn and Duncan in the Carron Valley. The couple had been arguing for two years over what to do about their three-bed rural semi. Phil took Karyn and Duncan to view properties in Fife, Strathyre and Sauchie, while Kirstie inspired a £40,000 upgrade. At the end of the 2016 episode, they decided to keep the property.
