Why Omarion Hampton is set up to explode for fantasy managers

What about some other guys that maybe were a little bit like third rounders you think could launch themselves into the first round range here next year.
Well, not to pump your tires, but we talked about them earlier, but Marion Hampton, right?
Marion Hampton.
A great pick, you know, a guy who definitely could come out here out of the gate.
We've mentioned the Najee Harris situation before.
Najee still on the sidelines, still wearing a hoodie, still wearing sunglasses.
We don't know when he's going to come back.
And meanwhile, during this time, Marion Hampton is just showing off to the coaching staff.
He's winning their trust.
This guy is gonna hit the ground running in week one.
He's gonna have a huge rookie year, and we talk about that value game as soon as he comes out and he's the starter.
It's a big volume of touches in week one, and he produces in this offense, which we know running backs can produce in this offense.
JK Dobbins did it last year.
We're going to see Hampton, who is a much better running back, get out there and put up big numbers.
And when he does, he's going to sneak up right into that range behind the Ashghettis and the Robinsons.
I think he'll be right in there.
I kind of see the way his path could go.
At least I thought it was going to be a little more like Jamir Gibbs's rookie season.
And yet now, I wonder if Hampton is just going to be the guy in that Chargers backfield and Najee is the one who's going to take a total backseat because we don't know when he's going to play and when he's going to be healthy, and he's missed a lot of valuable reps with a new team here.
So, Hampton, certainly with the age, with the draft capital and with the situation he went to, it's not hard to see him vaulting up the rankings and getting up in there, you know, into that 12 turn potentially.
Yeah, Jim Harbaugh said today on Tuesday that they still don't have a timeline on Najee Harris, so it's just like Hampton's getting to run all, getting all that run.
He's gonna play in the Hall of Fame game, Boon.
I don't know if you know that.
So I mean, I remember what Josh Jacobs was, I was just gonna say yeah, don't panic when he's the fourth running back that plays in that game, yeah.

Chargers hosting former player for visit
According to multiple reports, wide receiver Keenan Allen is visiting the Chargers on Friday and there is mutual interest in a potential reunion. Allen was traded to the Bears last year in a move to clear up cap space. In 2024, he appeared in 15 games, finishing with 70 catches for 744 yards and seven touchdowns. Before being shipped to Chicago, Allen appeared in 139 games with 134 starts and caught 904 passes for 10,530 yards and 59 touchdowns with the Bolts. While Allen is on the older side at 33 years of age, Allen would bring a veteran presence to the positional room which was thought to be from Mike Williams before he announced his retirement this past month. Keenan Allen visits with Chargers
Wide receiver Keenan Allen and the Chargers could be headed for a reunion. NFL Media reports that Allen is visiting the Chargers on Friday and that there is mutual interest in having Allen return to the team that drafted him in the third round of the 2013 draft. Allen spent the next 11 seasons with the team before being traded to the Bears in 2024. Allen had 70 catches for 744 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games for Chicago and became a free agent in March. Allen had 904 catches for 10,530 yards and 59 touchdowns during his time with the Chargers. If Allen does sign with the Chargers, he'll be the second wideout to return to the team this year. Mike Williams signed with the team in March, but retired this summer. Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, second-round pick Tre' Harris, Jalen Reagor, fifth-round pick KeAndre Lambert-Smith, and Derius Davis are among the remaining wide receivers on the Chargers roster.

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Los Angeles Chargers need some more help at wide receiver, especially after Mike Williams shockingly decided to walk away from the NFL after returning to the team. Now, the organization could be working on another reunion with a former player. More news: Chargers Hall of Fame Game Star Could be Prime Trade Target Six-time Pro Bowl WR Keenan Allen is visiting the #Chargers today, and there is mutual interest in a potential reunion, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Allen, 33, played his first 13 NFL seasons for the team before spending last season in Chicago. Now, he could be back in L.A. — Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) August 1, 2025 Former longtime Chargers pass catcher Keenan Allen is set to visit the team on Friday, and the belief per reports is that a deal is set to be struck. Allen is currently a free agent after spending the last season with the Chicago Bears. As a member of the Bears, he secured 744 yards and six touchdowns. CHICAGO, IL - SEPTEMBER 8: Wide receiver Keenan Allen #13 of the Chicago Bears stands on the field prior to an NFL football game against the Tennessee Titans, at Soldier Field on September 8, 2024... CHICAGO, IL - SEPTEMBER 8: Wide receiver Keenan Allen #13 of the Chicago Bears stands on the field prior to an NFL football game against the Tennessee Titans, at Soldier Field on September 8, 2024 in Chicago, Illinois. Allen won't play in Week 3. MoreMore news: Lions' Dan Campbell Threatens to Cut Players Over HoF Game Disaster Previous to his one-year stint with the Bears, Allen spent 11 seasons with the Chargers. It would make perfect sense for him to return to the team with which he spent the majority of his career. Allen was first drafted by the then-San Diego Chargers in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Allen rocketed off to a 1,067-yard and eight-touchdown season in his rookie year. Despite having three solid seasons, Allen suffered injuries in the 2015 and 2016 seasons. A kidney injury sidelined Allen for the majority of the 2015 season, while he tore his ACL in the 2016 season. Despite the injuries, Allen would return to proper form in 2017, putting together 1,393 yards and six touchdowns, resulting in him winning Comeback Player of the Year. Allen remained with the Chargers through the 2023 season, bringing in six Pro Bowl selections. Now, he has a chance to return to a team that desperately needs him. The Chargers might have a solid group, but he wide receiver room is still lacking. Thankfully, Ladd McConkey emerged as a solid rookie and should make an impact in 2025 — but he is not a massive deep threat. McConkey thrives on speed and yards after the catch. The hope was that Quentin Johnston could emerge as a downfield playmaker, but that has not transpired just yet. As stated, Williams returned to the team, only to surprisingly retire before the 2025 season could begin. Adding Allen would give Justin Herbert a solid downfield contributor, which would help open the solid run game even more. Though it is not a guarantee, a deal between Allen and the Chargers would make sense if it happened immediately during his visit. For more on the Chargers and NFL, head to Newsweek Sports.
