Talabat UAE enables users to donate to Fathers' Endowment campaign via smart app

UAE, Dubai: talabat UAE, the leading tech company in the UAE, announced its support of the Fathers' Endowment campaign, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to honour fathers in the UAE by establishing a sustainable endowment fund to provide treatment and healthcare for the poor and needy.
talabat enables its smart app users to donate for medical treatment and healthcare in values starting from AED 10, AED 20, AED 50, AED 100, and AED 500 towards the campaign, supporting its aims of promoting the noble values of generosity, giving and solidarity for which the UAE is known, while establishing the concept of charity endowments and creating a community-wide movements that supports its main objective of providing sustainable healthcare for those in need.
Donation to the Fathers' Endowment campaign can be done by downloading the talabat app from Google Play store, Apple's App Store or Huawei's AppGallery, and typing 'Fathers' Endowment' in the search bar. Alternatively, those wishing to contribute can click the 'Give back' button on the app's main page, then choose 'Fathers' Endowment'.
Operating under the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the Fathers' Endowment campaign aims to honour fathers by allowing individuals to donate in their name. The campaign seeks to reinforce values of honouring parents, compassion, and solidarity, while strengthening the UAE's position as a leader in charitable and humanitarian work by establishing a sustainable endowment that ensures healthcare and empowerment for the less fortunate and underserved around the world, in an effort to improve their lives.

Donation channels
In addition to enabling donations through the talabat app, the Fathers' Endowment campaign continues to welcome donations and contributions to the endowment fund from institutions and individuals across six main channels including the campaign's website (Fathersfund.ae), as well as a dedicated call center via the toll-free number (800 4999). Donations are also possible via bank transfers in the UAE dirham to the campaign bank account number with Emirates Islamic Bank (IBAN: AE020340003518492868201). Donations via SMS are possible by sending the word 'Father' to the following numbers (1034 to donate AED 10, 1035 to donate AED 50, 1036 to donate AED 100 and 1038 to donate AED 500) for Etisalat by e& and du users. Other possible platforms for donating to the campaign are the DubaiNow app by clicking the 'Donations' tab, and Dubai's community contributions platform Jood (Jood.ae).

SEWA launches 10 lighting projects in Kalba

Key projects underway Engineer Youssef Al Hammadi, Director of SEWA's Kalba Department, confirmed that the authority is executing development and lighting works according to a defined timeline, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah . Among the significant projects in progress is the lighting of main roads in the new industrial zone, where SEWA is installing 100 lighting poles and 200 fixtures, in addition to laying 11,000 metres of electrical cables. The project began in January 2025 and is expected to be completed by July, with an estimated cost of AED 2 million . Work is also ongoing on the second phase of Al Hefaiyah Lake lighting project, aimed at fully covering the tourist area with modern lighting units. This phase is valued at AED 1.5 million . In the second phase of the Jabal Deem lighting project, SEWA is implementing specialised technical solutions due to the area's unique geography, with a budget reaching AED 13 million . Additional work is being carried out in the Ghail area, including the installation of 400 lighting units and 250 poles, alongside 15,000 metres of electrical cables . Upgrades are also taking place on Kalba–Sharjah Road, Lake Street, and within the University District, where 1,400 traditional lights are being replaced with energy-efficient LED fixtures . The authority's lighting efforts in Kalba also include the implementation of an annual maintenance programme for the city's lighting network, as well as a dedicated project to improve lighting in the residential area of Al Qadisiya . Completed projects Several lighting projects have been completed in recent months. One of the most notable is the lighting of Khatmit Al Malaha Road, finished in April 2025, which included the installation of 100 lights, 50 poles, and 7,000 metres of cabling. Another completed project is the lighting of Saad bin Abi Waqqas Street, which saw the installation of 100 lights, 60 poles, and 10,000 metres of electric cable . These initiatives reflect SEWA's continued commitment to sustainable infrastructure development and enhanced public safety across Kalba .
