Justin Baldoni Reacts To 'It Ends With Us' Actor Isabela's Harassment Claims: 'Inappropriate Attack'
Justin Baldoni rejects Isabela Ferrer's bullying and harassment allegations, calling her claims 'without merit' in ongoing legal dispute over It Ends With Us.
Justin Baldoni has officially addressed accusations made by Isabela Ferrer, who claimed she faced bullying and harassment from the It Ends With Us director. The allegations emerged amid a legal battle involving Blake Lively, according to People.
Isabela Ferrer's Allegations Against Justin Baldoni
Isabela Ferrer, who portrayed the younger version of Blake Lively's character Lily, alleged that Baldoni and his production company Wayfarer Studios treated her unfairly during legal proceedings. Her legal team said that after being subpoenaed by Blake Lively's side earlier this year, Ferrer requested reimbursement for her legal costs as per her contract.
According to her attorneys, Wayfarer Studios refused payment unless Ferrer allowed them to control her response to Lively's subpoena. Her lawyers further claimed that Baldoni attempted to manipulate and intimidate her through 'inappropriate conduct" during the process.
Justin Baldoni's Response
In court documents filed on Monday, August 18, Baldoni's legal team strongly denied these claims. People obtained filings in which his lawyers described Ferrer's allegations as 'primarily an inappropriate attack upon Mr. Baldoni and his counsel relating to matters not before the Court and irrelevant."
Baldoni's attorneys argued that the subpoena from his side was valid, aiming to collect documents either not previously provided or outside the scope of her original subpoena from Lively's team in February. They added that issuing the subpoena does not constitute harassment, calling her claims 'without merit."
The Bigger Picture
This dispute has heightened tension in the ongoing high-profile legal situation surrounding It Ends With Us. In January, Baldoni publicly shared a text exchange with Ferrer, indicating that the conflict had been simmering for months. The trial is officially scheduled for March 2026.

Strike by Telugu film workers comes to end following pact with producers
Agency: PTI Last Updated: Hyderabad, Aug 21 (PTI) The over two-week long strike by Telugu film workers over wage hike and others came to an end on Thursday following an agreement with producers. The workers and producers reached an understanding during the talks held in the presence of state labour department officials. Speaking to reporters late on Thursday, Gangadhar, a senior labour department official, said the workers' federation has demanded a 30 per cent wage hike over the last three years. The initial negotiations between the federation and producers did not yield result which led to the intervention of the department, he said. He said both parties have agreed to a 22.5 per cent wage hike over the last three years. He said, among others, hikes of 15 per cent, 2.5 per cent and five per cent (total 22.5 per cent) would be made for the last three years respectively to 'low wage' workers. The official added that a committee, headed by a bureaucrat, would go into other issues, including service conditions. Film shootings came to a halt since August 4 when the strike began over the demand for 30 per cent wage hike and others. Alexander, a leader of the workers, had said earlier that the hike is not for 30 per cent at once, but 10 per cent annually, which is due this year. However, the hike has not been effected since the last four months, he alleged. Damodar Prasad, Secretary of Telugu Film Chamber, had earlier said the workers 'unilaterally" decided to work only for producers who pay them the increased wages though talks were ongoing with the involvement of the labour department. He had said the Telugu film industry already pays higher wages to union workers than other state film industries. Kriti Sanon criticizes Bollywood's gender pay gap, says producers fear investing: 'Female-led films don't make as much money as male-led films'
Kriti Sanon spoke out against gender pay inequality in Bollywood, noting that female-led films often have smaller budgets due to producers' fears of lower returns. She emphasized that equal work deserves equal pay and expressed optimism as content-driven films featuring strong female leads are gradually gaining recognition and success. Kriti Sanon recently openly addressed the persistent problem of gender pay inequality in Bollywood. She emphasized the entertainment industry's enduring hesitation to offer equal pay to male and female actors and challenged the logic behind differing salaries when the responsibilities and efforts are identical. Confusion over lack of pay parity Speaking to News18, Kriti said that considering all the other industries, she doesn't understand why pay parity is not there. She believes that for certain kinds of roles and jobs, whether one is male or female, it shouldn't matter, and the pay should be the same. She acknowledged that in films, this conversation has been ongoing for a very long time and admitted that it affects them more than anyone else. Budget disparities between male and female-led films She added that even if a film is led by a woman, it is not typically budgeted on the same scale as a film led by a man. This, she explained, is because producers are afraid they won't recover as much money. She described it as a cycle where female-led films don't earn as much as male-led films, which then leads to the justification that his fees are higher or her fees are lower. Optimism about changing attitudes The actress remains hopeful despite the obstacles, observing that the industry's mindset is gradually changing. She pointed out that films focused on strong content are starting to gain prominence, no matter if the lead roles are played by men or women. Highlighting the success of female-led films Referring to the success of the women-led movie 'Crew', she highlighted how important it is for female-led films to be fun and have big budgets. She encouraged producers to focus on strong stories when taking risks, rather than the gender of the lead actors. The 2024 film featured Kriti along with Tabu and Kareena Kapoor .
