Rivian Makes Its Commercial Van Available to Fleets of All Sizes

For U.S. customers, those big EV vans are no longer just for Amazon
Irvine-based Rivian Automotive recently announced that it is opening sales for the Rivian Commercial Van to fleets of all sizes in the U.S. for the first time.
The Rivian Commercial Van is the platform on which Amazon's custom electric delivery van (EDV) is based and is designed from the ground up, prioritizing safety, driver comfort, total cost of ownership and sustainability. Safety features include automatic emergency braking, collision warnings and 360-degree visibility – meaning the Rivian Commercial Van is engineered to be among the safest vehicles on the road today.
Since the conclusion of Rivian and Amazon's exclusivity period, Rivian has been trialing its commercial van with several large fleets in the U.S. and preparing its fleet management process for the mass market. These pilots have paved the way to enable Rivian to open sales further.
The Rivian Commercial Van comes in two sizes, the 500 and the 700, providing a payload around 2,600 lbs. and a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of up to 9,500 lbs. Rivian's in-house software stack controls nearly every interaction from unlocking the vehicle and opening the door to charging and acceleration. These tools help streamline the ownership experience and minimize costs while increasing safety and productivity.
'Through existing partnerships, our commercial vans have already proved incredibly successful,' said Tom Solomon, senior director of business development for Rivian. 'Amazon currently has more than 20,000 in its fleet and delivered over a billion packages from its Electric Delivery Vans in 2024 alone. Over the last year, we have been focusing our efforts on testing with some larger fleets, and we're really pleased with how those trials have gone. As a result, we're excited to now be able to open sales to fleets of all sizes in the U.S., whether they want one van or thousands. Our vehicles are designed to not only be among the safest on the road but will also help fleet owners to reduce the cost of fleet ownership and their carbon footprint.'
Rivian vehicles are built in the United States and are sold directly to consumer and commercial customers. The Orange County-based company provides a full suite of services that addresses the entire lifecycle of the vehicle and stays true to its mission to keep the world adventurous forever. Whether taking families on new adventures or electrifying fleets at scale, Rivian vehicles all share a common goal - preserving the natural world for generations to come.

Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN): Jim Cramer Maintains It Needs To Buy NVIDIA

We recently published . Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is one of the stocks Jim Cramer recently discussed. Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is struggling on the stock market lately as investors are worried about the growth prospects of its cloud computing division. The shares have gained a mere 1.4% over the past month, after they fell by 9.6% after the firm's second quarter earnings were accompanied by weak AWS growth. Cramer continues to maintain that Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is struggling because it is focusing on its in-house AI chips instead of NVIDIA's AI GPUs: 'Think about what happened to Amazon, when they decided to go away from using all the NVIDIA that was possible. . . Deal: Save a whopping $800 on the Ampace Andes 1500 Power Station

Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority The Ampace Andes 1500 Portable Power Station has become my go-to battery solution for most of my needs. Mainly because it is both portable and powerful enough to run all my electronics. Needless to say, I would recommend it, especially at today's heavily discounted price. You can get it at a massive $800 discount, bringing the price down to a very amicable $599. Buy the Ampace Andes 1500 Portable Power Station for just $599 ($800 off) This offer is available on Amazon, but the item is shipped and sold directly by Ampace. The Ampace Andes 1500 Portable Power Station is very special because it strikes the perfect balance between power and portability. Sure, there are much more powerful ones, but those are huge (and much more expensive). There are also more portable ones, but smaller units usually can't run more power-hungry electronics. You can see some comparisons here. Let's dig into the details so you can understand what I mean. For starters, this power station features a pretty hefty 1,462Wh battery capacity. To give you a better idea of what this means, it's enough to charge an average smartphone about 98 times. Of course, I've never tried to test charging my phone that many times, but I can tell you it is quite a bit of juice. I've used it to charge all my electronics. For example, I often use it to power my outdoor TV, and it can do so for over five hours. Because it has a max output of 2,400W (with support for 3,600W surges), I can also use it to run higher-power electronics like my kettle, microwave, or air fryer. It works like a charm. Of course, it can also work as a backup if you want to use it during outages to keep your fridge alive. It can also charge pretty fast, by the way. If you go into the app and turn on A-Boost charging, it can recharge at up to 1,800W using an AC outlet, which will recharge the battery completely in under an hour. If you leave A-Boost disabled, charging speeds will be about 800-1,000W. It also supports as much as 600W of solar input, which will be great for outdoor activities. If the sun insists on hiding, you can also use your car socket to charge at 96W. In terms of ports, you get a pretty good variety here. It comes with two USB-C ports, four USB-A connections, two DC plugs, a car socket, and four AC outlets. Another area where the Ampace Andes 1500 excels is in its design and build quality. It is surprisingly solid and made to operate in extreme temperatures. Ampace claims it can continue working at temperatures as low as -4 degrees Fahrenheit and as high as 113 degrees Fahrenheit. This is great because it snows where I live. Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority The unit measures 17.2 x 7.7 x 13.2in and weighs 36.8 lbs. It's not exactly tiny or super light, but it will be pretty easy to carry for short periods. I can take it to my car's trunk without breaking a sweat, for example, and it's also easy to take it from my car's trunk to the camping site or picnic area. Carry it for more than about 10 minutes, though, and you'll start feeling it. At $599, this is actually an excellent battery for your adventures. It can run almost all electronics, and it could even become a great lifesaver during an outage. Go get yours while it's on sale! $800 discounts don't come often, and we doubt it will last much longer. Follow

Rivian (RIVN) Flags $100M Revenue Loss as Trump Eases Fuel Economy Rules

Electric vehicle (EV) maker Rivian (RIVN) has cautioned that it faces a potential $100 million revenue loss from the sale of regulatory credits related to the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards, the Wall Street Journal reported. The Trump administration decided to relax fuel economy standards and remove penalties for non-compliance with these rules. Consequently, Rivian and other EV makers, who were generating millions of dollars in revenue by selling credits to their peers who were in violation of these rules, are now worried about the resultant loss. Rivian Faces Loss of Revenue Related to EV Credit Sales The Biden administration imposed stringent standards that required carmakers to achieve a 50.4 miles per gallon average by model year 2031 or face increased fines for violating the provisions. However, in July, President Trump signed the megabill, which eliminated penalties for violating the fuel economy standards. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) then sent letters to automakers that it would delay issuing annual notifications to companies about their compliance status with CAFE, given that it is reconsidering standards for model years 2022 and later. In a statement attached to a petition, Christopher Nevers, Rivian's director of public policy, highlighted that the company already had negotiated regulatory credit deals that it can't finalize due to the delay in NHTSA's notifications. For context, regulatory credits made up 6.5% of Rivian's overall revenue in the first half of the year. However, the company said it doesn't anticipate any additional credit revenue for the rest of 2025. Likewise, in a statement, Lucid Group (LCID) said the credits 'represent a significant share' of its revenues, though they weren't a notable source of income in the most recent quarter. Meanwhile, Tesla (TSLA) stated in its most recent quarterly earnings report that regulatory actions have resulted in a $1.1 billion decrease in expected revenue from selling credits. Tesla earns the most from selling credits than any other EV maker. NHTSA stated that it expects to issue compliance notifications once it completes fixing the CAFE rules. However, the agency didn't provide a timeline for completing the CAFE reconsideration. Is Rivian Stock a Buy or Sell? Amid a weak demand backdrop, Wall Street is sidelined on Rivian Automotive stock, with a Hold consensus rating based on eight Buys, 14 Holds, and three Sell recommendations. The average RIVN stock price target of $14 implies 16% upside potential.
