A grandmother's thoughtful gift to her grandkids has served an unexpected function.
A new indoor slide, meant to bring joy to her grandkids, found an unlikely, and much furrier, fan. In a viral Instagram reel, the grandmother captured a hilarious moment of her cat secretly using the slide in the middle of the night—a twist on what was intended to be a family toy. Since the reel was posted, it has received over 903,000 likes.
"When you get a slide for your grandkids, but this is happening at midnight," the woman, @grandma_gin_, captioned the video, which shows a gray slide set up indoors. But instead of a giggling child, what comes down the slide is a cat, backwards, sliding helplessly towards the bottom. The cat's clumsy adventure quickly charmed viewers who recognized the mischievous nature of felines.

The commenters were just as surprised as the video's creator. One user, who was expecting a very different kind of late-night hijinks, commented, "I was expecting a drunken adult to be falling down the slide not...[a cat]."
"The look on the cat's face is great! They do not like you to see their mischief—unless they want something," one commenter wrote. Another person had a more innocent theory about the cat's predicament: "You could tell he accidentally got on the slide the way he fell...he must've been curious and then slid all the way down."
One viewer even imagined the cat's inner thoughts: "She looked embarrassed like, 'Why do you laugh? God forbid a cat wants to have fun.'"
Cats and Their Love for Slides
As many pet owners know, cats are naturally curious creatures who are drawn to new and unusual objects in their environment.
It seems that slides, in particular, hold a special fascination for them. A commenter noted this tendency, writing, "Cats looove slides. The strays in our old apartments used to play on the playground and the slide was a particular favorite!"
"Did y'all see that [the cat] intentionally walked up there to slide back down?" another pointed out. "That's his slide, not your grandkids."
A final, comical detail drove the absurdity home—the slide ended abruptly against a wall, leaving little room for little ones, or cats, to get off.
"I love that it dead ends into the wall," one person wrote. "Building that next generation a little stronger than the last. Well done."

Welcome Back, Hayley Paige—The Fairytale Continues, On Her Terms

The fashion world is buzzing, and rightfully so. We are beyond thrilled to share the official runway photos from the Hayley Paige 'Twice Upon a Time' presentation, an extraordinary debut held at the legendary Colony Hotel in picture-perfect Palm Beach, Florida. Planned and designed by Whitney Carillon Events and captured flawlessly by La Via Visual, this soirée was a rewritten chapter for Hayley Paige. A whimsical dreamscape of bold storytelling, couture fantasy, and next-generation bridal design that marked a long-awaited return… and a reckoning. In an industry built on love stories, Hayley Paige has lived through a plot twist no one saw coming. Once celebrated as the crown jewel of millennial bridal fashion, known for her twirl-worthy silhouettes, sparkle-laced magic, and Instagram-era bridal voice, Hayley's journey took a devastating detour. A deeply public legal battle over the rights to her own name removed her from the very brand she built, leaving an entire generation of brides (and dreamers) wondering what would come next. But Hayley Paige didn't disappear. She recalibrated. She healed. She fought. And now, after years of silence, strength, and strategic rebuilding, she's back with full creative freedom, ownership, and her signature shine. On July 27, Hayley Paige officially reclaimed the spotlight with the launch of her brand-new 30-piece bridal collection, ushering in a bold new era of design, independence, and storytelling. This isn't just a comeback—it's a creative resurrection. A personal and professional triumph. A masterclass in resilience. While her name was in litigation limbo, Hayley quietly turned heartbreak into horsepower. Through her sculptural bridal shoe brand She is Cheval, she continued pushing the boundaries of bridal fashion. With feminine lines, red carpet-worthy edge and unapologetic flair, Cheval proved what we already Paige's vision never dulled. It simply evolved. Now with Twice Upon a Time she returns to the aisle. But this time she's calling every shot. The 30-piece collection delivers exactly what we've missed: ethereal romance, rule-breaking elegance, and that signature Paige playfulness. But beyond the gowns, there's something even more powerful here: freedom. Ownership. A woman in full. In a world where so many designers lose their names to contracts and corporations, Hayley Paige's comeback is a reminder that reclaiming your voice is always worth the fight. Her story is about fashion and building a legacy. Welcome back, Hayley. The world's been waiting. And this time, the fairytale is yours to write. Dog With Severe Arthritis Cannot Play Fetch, But Unexpected Friend Steps In

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Seeing his doggy brother with severe arthritis cannot play fetch by himself, a cat jumped in to lend a helping paw, melting viewers' hearts. The 6-year-old Australian cattle dog, Blue, was first diagnosed with arthritis when he was nearing 3 years old. About one in five dogs suffers from canine arthritis, making everyday activities painful and commonly affecting the legs, hips and back, according to the American Kennel Club. "He's slowly been declining and is not able to enjoy the things he used to as much," Blue's owner told Newsweek. His owner, who manages the TikTok account @ continues to give Blue the best quality of life possible. He receives supplements during flare-ups and wears a special brace on his leg, and goes to laser therapy about once a month. But it was bringing home a foster cat that helped make the most of Blue's days. A July 30 TikTok video shows the tuxedo cat, Mr. Darcy, assisting in a game of fetch. Blue sat by the ball, ready for the game that helped him still feel like a normal dog. His owner threw it across the kitchen and into the other room. Screenshots from a July 30 TikTok video of a tuxedo cat assisting a dog with severe arthritis during a game of fetch. Screenshots from a July 30 TikTok video of a tuxedo cat assisting a dog with severe arthritis during a game of fetch. @ Knowing his role, Mr. Darcy chased after the ball and stopped it from rolling any further. He looked back at his owner to give the green light, tagging Blue to come back in. It was Blue's time to shine. He walked over to retrieve the ball, and the two pets returned together for the next round. The text on the video reads: "Teamwork makes the dream work." Seeing the cat coming to Blue's rescue brought the owner to tears, especially since Mr. Darcy only came to live with them as a foster cat. But once she saw how these two bonded, there was no way she could let Mr. Darcy go. A separate video explained that this cat quickly became a "foster fail." She adopted him, and the two pets have bonded even more. Viewer Reactions With over 605,800 views and 169,400 likes on TikTok as of Monday, people instantly fell head over heels for these furry besties. "That's so cute. What a dynamic duo!" a viewer commented. "Animals are so smart, they have so much empathy for each other," a TikTok user said. "Awe, he is lucky to have a brother like that. And mom, you are awesome to stimulate him like that," another commenter wrote. Do you have funny and adorable videos or pictures of your pet you want to share?
