BBC Studios unearths new Bluey treasure for global audience
A Bluey digital short called 'Archaeology' is being made available globally for the first time on Official Bluey YouTube and Bluey.tv.
The digital short, which was part of the first set of 20 Bluey Shorts commissioned by BBC Studios Digital Brands in 2021, stars Bluey's dad Bandit, an archaeologist, as he hosts a talk on an archaeological discovery from a bygone era. The footage digs into Bandit's professional life offering a chance to see Bluey's beloved dad in a whole new light.
'Archaeology' was first released on Bluey Facebook in April 2022 just for Australian followers. As Bandit has since evolved internationally to become one of the best loved dads on TV, BBC Studios Digital Brands has now made 'Archaeology' available to watch on Official Bluey YouTube and Bluey.tv for the first time.
'Archaeology' was shown for the first time to an audience outside of Australia at SXSW Austin, USA by BBC Studios CEO Brands and Licensing, Nicki Sheard on the 8th March. Fans all around the world are now also able to discover this hidden gem, with a running time of 1 minute and 36 seconds, for themselves.
The release comes after a wave of exciting Bluey news as BBC Studios and Ludo Studio announced not long ago that there was a movie in the works, expected to hit screens in 2027, with global distribution by the Walt Disney Company. Plus, the Bluey Digital Brands team won the Best YouTube Channel and the Best Web/App Series – Branded for Bluey Book Reads recently at Kidscreen Awards 2025. A second series of Bluey Book Reads is landing on Official Bluey YouTube and Bluey.tv later this year, with the full star-studded line-up to be revealed soon.
Last year, it was revealed by Nielsen that Bluey was the No.1 most-watched series on streaming in 2024 among total viewers in the U.S., with nearly 56 billion minutes watched (930M hours). Bluey is also the #1 kids show on CBeebies/iPlayer and Disney+ in the UK .

The 'inappropriate' Peppa Pig episode that was banned in Australia twice
Peppa Pig's seemingly innocent adventures have sparked unexpected controversies over the years, from angering politicians to bans over inappropriate content. The porcine cartoon has most recently been in the headlines for the arrival of her baby sister, called Evie, with Mummy Pig's pregnancy announcement on Good Morning Britain in February leaving viewers baffled. But it's not the first time Peppa and her entourage have stirred up a media frenzy. Previously, a Spanish politician blamed the cartoon for the lack of women in the construction industry, an Italian politician demanded an episode featuring LGBTQ+ polar bears be banned, and some parents have labelled the cartoon icon as 'rude' and 'impatient'. In 2004, an episode titled Mister Skinnylegs was pulled off air in Australia for messaging deemed to be 'inappropriate' for audiences Down Under. The episode in question sees Peppa befriend a spider, after Daddy Pig tells her the arachnids are 'very very small' and 'can't hurt you'. The cartoon's titular character then proceeds to pick up the spider, letting him play with her doll's house and offering him tea. However, unlike in the UK, some spiders in Australia are far from harmless. The redback spider and the funnel-web spider are both venomous, and their bites can be fatal without administering antivenom. Australian spiders certainly aren't small, either — the huntsman's leg span can reach up to 30cm. The offending episode was banned from future broadcast by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) in 2012 for sending the 'inappropriate' message that spiders are friendly and not to be feared. But that's not the end of the story. In August 2017, the episode aired on children's channel Nick Jr in Australia, causing controversy all over again. A Sydney mother complained to Foxtel, an Australian pay TV service, arguing that the episode encouraged children to pick up and play with potentially dangerous spiders. Initially, the channel refused to pull the episode, saying at the time: 'The context of the way the spider is portrayed in the episode lessens any impact of scariness or danger; the spider does not look real, it has a smiley face and is shown in context of a show with other talking animals.' However, Nick Jr eventually relented and removed Mister Skinnylegs from its programme rotation. More Trending In Australia, children are taught from a young age about the dangers of spiders. Metro TV reporter Pierra Willix grew up in the country, and says: 'I remember being taught by my parents which spiders were harmless and which were dangerous. I was always told if you see a spider with a red back, that's bad!' She adds: 'I remember seeing charts and posters about which ones were deadly too.' And Australia's uncompromising approach to spider-related education appears to work. View More » According to Australian Museum, there have been no deaths from a confirmed spider bite in Australia since 1979, thanks to antivenoms for redback spiders and funnel web spiders being introduced in 1956 and 1980 respectively. Bianca Censori's huge move as she launches self-named business away from Kanye
Kanye West's wife Bianca Censori has made a big career move with the news coming just days after she once again caused an outcry due to her racy outfit choices Bianca Censori has returned to social media in recent days, and the reason could soon be clear. The 30-year-old architect and wife of Kanye West had steered clear from public attention in recent weeks but is back with yet more controversial looks. And while her posts haven't stated any reason for the uploads, it's been revealed she has branched out with a career path away from her hubby. The Australian beauty was an architect at Yeeze in 2020, but has moved away from her usual role in recent years as she stayed by her man's side. She has continued to turn heads and create chaos with her barely-there outfits alongside the rapper, 47, but her recent uploads have shown her alone. And now it's been revealed she has set up her first U.S. company, Bianca Censori Inc, which was registered last month with the state of California. According to the Sun, Bianca has also registered her full name as an Australian firm, based in Alphington. The affluent Melbourne suburb is currently the home of her parents. The publication hints the firm could be in the cosmetic industry. It revealed the chief financial officer is listed as Hussein Lalani, a person who specialises in selling cosmetic treatments. Her latest outing saw her risk arrest for her continuous indecent public exposure. She once again wore an x-rated outfit with intention to shock fans. She left very little to the imagination in a pair of sheer pantyhose and a see-through black fishnet top. She shared three separate images of herself standing in the street in the fully see-through ensemble to her Instagram page. The Australian model and architect styled her black locks in a an edgy wolfe-cut and topped off the head-turning look with a pair of oversized sunglasses as she posed with her hands behind her back and her legs spread apart. Naturally, after sharing the three snaps, fans flocked to the comment section to discuss her latest outfit - or lack thereof. One user gawped: "God, I've just opened the Instagram app to see this," while another joked: "Sometimes less really isn't more." A third complained: "This girl needs to realise that there's much more to women than showing off every inch of your body in such a vulgar way. Where is the class and decorum? Not a good look." It's far from the first time Bianca had sparked outrage with her outfit choices. At the Grammy Awards ceremony back in February alongside Kanye, she shocked photographers on the red carpet. As she dropped her fur coat to reveal the naked dress. The stunt caused a mass reaction among fans. Some shared their concern for Bianca's welfare, claiming Kayne had forced her to do it.

The Mysterious Girl singer, 52, stunned with his new look, with son Junior among those praising his switch-up. The dad-of-five is best known for keeping his wavy hair combed up recently - following his iconic curtains style when he burst onto the scene in the '90s. However, he showed off his new curly offering, much to the delight of his Instagram followers. Sharing the portrait headshot to his social media channel, the star was seen smiling as he donned his curly cut, with a few strands dropping down on his forehead. He asked his followers in the caption of the upload: "Embrace the curl?" Praising his dad, Junior, 19, gushed: "My dad's a handsome guy man. Levendis!!" A third jokingly penned: "MYSTERIOUS CURLS!!!!," and a fourth said: "Plot twist: the curl embraced you." While Junior was fully supportive of his dad, the Australian singer showed the close-knit ties of his family as he praised his daughter Princess' huge career move. Pete shares his two eldest kids with ex-wife Katie Price. Now, their 17-year-old daughter is set to get her own taste of fame as she will be the centre of a fly-on-the-wall show. And dad Peter couldn't be more proud. Speaking to the Mirror last month, Peter beamed: "We've been filming for Princess's new reality show and it's been great fun for us all. Obviously, as a family we're no strangers to reality TV - but I'm so proud of what Princess is doing now. I think people are going to really enjoy seeing it. "There's a few surprises in there, too, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so you'll have to watch it when it comes out - sorry!" And the family also rallied around Peter when his latest movie was criticised. Peter's s film role on Jafaican sparked fierce debate online, with critics accusing it of cultural insensitivity - while he defends it as just 'acting' The family were seen at the Genesis Cinema for the private VIP event of the movie's release and posed for photographs ahead of the much-discussed film's debut. In the film, Peter plays a character named Gary Buckle - also known as 'Gazza' . The character is a London scammer who adopts a Jamaican identity to pull off a transatlantic fraud.
