Emraan Hashmi diagnosed with dengue

Emraan Hashmi
has been diagnosed with dengue while filming his upcoming pan-Indian film OG alongside
Pawan Kalyan
. We have learnt that the actor was shooting in Aarey Colony, Goregaon, Mumbai, when he began experiencing symptoms.
Production sources confirm that Emraan is currently recuperating and has taken a temporary break from the shoot.
Despite the health setback, the production team is optimistic about resuming the shoot once Hashmi recovers.
A source from the production house shared with us, 'Emraan started feeling uneasy and a doctor was consulted. He was later diagnosed with dengue. He has been advised to rest and will resume the shoot once he recovers.'
OG, which is slated for a global release on September 25 this year, marks Emraan's Telugu debut, and he plays the primary role alongside Pawan Kalyan.
In a chat with News18 Showsha, Emraan observed that the Hindi film industry is truly lacking the courage to take risks. Talking about why Indian producers avoid risky projects, Emraan said, 'If you put that across to a producer over here, I would say that nine out of ten of them would tell you, 'Are you out of your mind?' It would be a logistical nightmare.
Thirteen minutes into a shot, someone may goof up and we would have to do the entire thing again.
What would happen to the budget? We would need a director who leads the team, to be audacious and mad enough to make a show that way.'
Talking about the scripts he's been reading lately, Emraan Hashmi said many of them feel outdated or too similar to what he's already done. 'I'm like, why can't you see me or a film from a fresh perspective? I know that it's easier said than done. I definitely do say no more than yes. We should at least put out something we believe in rather than something that's run-of-the-mill. The probability of that working is more,' the actor added.

'Thug Life wont release in Karnataka without Kamal Haasans apology,' says KFCC President

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], May 31 (ANI): Actor Kamal Haasan's upcoming film, Thug Life, is facing trouble in Karnataka after the actor's recent remark on the Kannada language sparked anger among local groups, including the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC), which has banned the film's release until the actor issues a public apology. While speaking to ANI, KFCC president M. Narasimhalu said that people in Karnataka are upset with Haasan for his comment that "Kannada is born out of Tamil," which he reportedly made during a promotional event in Chennai. Narasimhalu added that if the actor does not "apologise" before the movie's slated release, it will not be allowed to screen in Karnataka. "People of Karnataka are angry with Kamal Haasan. We have also sent a message to the South Film Chamber. The distributors have decided that if he does not apologise before the release of his film on the 5th, it will not be allowed to release here..." he said. The controversy has led to several protests in Karnataka by the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike and other Kannada organisations. In response to the growing backlash, Hassan stood by his statement, saying he believes in law and democracy. Terming India a "democratic country," the actor stated that he wouldn't "apologise" to anyone for his actions if he is "not wrong." Pro-Kannada organisations have demanded a public apology from him for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Kannada people. Speaking to media personnel outside the DMK party headquarters in Chennai on Friday, Haasan said, "It is a democracy. I believe in law and justice. My love for Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala is genuine. Nobody will doubt it except for those who have an agenda. I've been threatened earlier too, and if I am wrong, I would apologise; if I'm not, I won't." Thug Life is directed by Mani Ratnam and stars Kamal Haasan, Trisha Krishnan, and Silambarasan TR in the lead roles. (ANI)

Vishnu Manchu accuses brother Manoj of stealing hard disk with 'Kannappa' footage; asks fans not to watch leaked footage

Picture Credit: X Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu has accused his brother Manoj Manchu of being involved in the theft of a crucial hard disk containing footage from their upcoming mythological film 'Kannappa'. As per an India Today report, during a media interaction in Chennai, where Vishnu, who was promoting the film along with the cast, he claimed that a hard disk containing vital VFX work and pivotal scenes from 'Kannappa' was stolen. According to the report, the disk was sent from Hive Studios in Mumbai to their father Mohan Babu 's residence in Film Nagar, Hyderabad, which is the usual delivery point for packages meant for the Manchu siblings. The disk was handed over to two individuals named Raghu and Charitha, who have since gone missing. Vishnu alleged that the two are reportedly connected to Manoj Manchu, with Raghu acting as his personal assistant and Charitha linked to his office. The theft reportedly took place about four weeks ago, but the production team only filed a police complaint after multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact Manoj and his associates. Vishnu expressed concern over the potential leak of the footage but reassured that the hard disk is password-protected, making unauthorised access highly unlikely. He urged the public not to watch any leaked content, as immense effort had gone into making the film. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Cubao : SUV Clearance Sale, Click Here To See Prices SUV Deals | Search Ads Search Now Undo "You all know what happened within our family. We tried to reach Manoj through our friends, but to no avail. We don't know if they stole it or acted upon someone's orders. It was after these attempts we filed a police complaint," he said. He addressed the controversy while requesting the media to refrain from probing into family matters during the promotional event. 'Kannappa' is a much-anticipated pan-Indian mythological drama directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. The film tells the story of Bhakta Kannappa, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva, with Vishnu Manchu playing the titular role. The star-studded cast includes Mohan Babu, Sarathkumar, Madhoo, and cameo appearances by Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal. The film will hit the big screens on June 27. Manchu Manoj reveals he missed out on 'Arjun Reddy'; hopes to work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga in future projects

Picture Credit: X Actor Manchu Manoj , who is making his comeback with the recently released film 'Bhairavam', opened up about some missed opportunities in his career. He revealed that he had the chance to star in the now-iconic Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial ' Arjun Reddy '. As per a Gulte report, during one of the promotional events of the film, Manoj revealed that back in 2013, Vanga had narrated the script of 'Arjun Reddy' to him. However, due to personal reasons at the time, he was unable to take up the project. Manoj expressed his regret for missing out on working with such a talented filmmaker and conveyed his hope to collaborate with Vanga in the future. The romantic action drama 'Arjun Reddy', which became a cult classic, was directed by debutant Vanga and catapulted Vijay Deverakonda to superstardom. The film was eventually released in 2017 and, despite initial criticism for its bold themes, such as its portrayal of toxic masculinity and violence, it went on to become one of Telugu cinema's most talked-about and influential films. The movie starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in lead roles, supported by a strong ensemble cast including Priyadarshi Pulikonda and Rahul Ramakrishna. The film's success was so significant that the director remade it in Hindi as ' Kabir Singh ' in 2019, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Esse novo alarme com câmera é quase gratuito em Nova Iguaçu (consulte o preço) Alarmes Saiba Mais Undo This version also became a major commercial hit. Filming is expected to commence around September or October 2025, following Prabhas's completion of other projects like 'The Raja Saab' and 'Fauji'.
