Willow Avalon to perform at SWG3 in Glasgow West End
The show follows the release of her debut album, Southern Belle Raisin' Hell, which came out in January of this year.

Originally from Georgia and now based in Nashville, Willow rose to fame after independently releasing her debut single Drivin' in 2021 which quickly led to a deal with Atlantic Records/Assemble Sound in 2023 and the release of her EP Stranger in 2024.
She has went on to perform on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and CBS Mornings, as well as festivals like Hangout and Lollapolooza. And, she has even shared stages with legends like Zach Bryan, Bob Dylan and Cage the Elephant.

This beloved Aboriginal artist's first major solo exhibition will debut in Canberra this summer
No one paints pop culture quite like Kaylene Whiskey. A proud Yankunytjatjara woman and one of Australia's leading contemporary Aboriginal artists, she's renowned for her vibrant, joy-filled landscapes that celebrate traditional Aṉangu culture alongside depictions of her self-envisaged heroes – Cher, Tina Turner, Wonder Woman and of course, Dolly Parton. This summer, you can brush shoulders with Whiskey's star-studded icons at her first major solo exhibition, Super Kaylene Whiskey, coming to the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra. Born in Mparntwe/ Alice Springs, Whiskey is best known for winning the Art Gallery of New South Wales' 2018 Sulman Prize for her work 'Kaylene TV'. Drawing inspiration from her life in rural Central Australia, she creates her pop-culture-meets-country masterpieces at Iwantja Arts in the remote Indulkana Community. Since her Sulman Prize win, Whiskey's star has only risen: her now-famous 2020 work 'Dolly visits Indulkana' was projected onto the Sydney Opera House as part of Badu Gili: Wonder Women, she teamed up with MECCA for a nationwide holiday campaign in 2023, and she created a larger-than-life walk-in TV installation for the 2024 Biennale of Sydney. Drawn from both public and private collections, Super Kaylene Whiskey will bring together works from the artist's colourful 15-year career, showcasing paintings, video work, installation and a newly commissioned portrait. In true Whiskey style, pop culture icons will share the stage with strong kungkas (women), uniting two very different cultures and generations. These heroic figures come to life in remote desert community landscapes as they hunt, collect bush tucker, cultivate mingkulpa (native tobacco plant), with Coca-Cola, TV screens and cowboy hats commingling in the background. Billy Joel 's ex-wife Elizabeth Weber has addressed his 'homewrecker' label after she left her first husband for the singer. The 76-year-old Piano Man hitmaker was in a rock band called Attila with best friend Jon Small - who had been married to Elizabeth. When still married to Jon, both she and Billy embarked in an affair - which resulted in the disbandment of the rock duo. The Uptown Girl hitmaker also recently confessed that he had attempted suicide twice and fell into a coma after the infidelity. Billy and Elizabeth eventually tied the knot in 1973, but their divorce was finalized nearly a decade later in 1982. However during an interview with Us Weekly on Friday, Elizabeth revealed, 'I never thought of Bill as the homewrecker.' She then added that she needed to 'tread carefully' and explained she 'didn't have a great romance' with Jon. 'The home was wrecked. We didn't have a deep connection, Jon and I. Almost in a way, my life began again when my son was born. Sean just lit up every room.' Elizabeth shares son Sean with ex-husband Jon. 'He was an adorable, precocious child. So I really never thought of Bill as a homewrecker because there wasn't much home to wreck,' she expressed to the outlet. In regards to her past relationship with the singer, she stated that they both 'became, like, an arc.' The mom-of-one further explained, 'We were unto ourselves with Sean. So, I wasn't seeking anyone's approval because while I don't really play an instrument anymore, I'm kind of rock and roll, too. 'I'm outside of the boundaries. And I decided in those days that I wanted to live a certain life.' In the years following their divorce, Elizabeth said that they are still in contact with each other but not as close.
