Zamaana Lage from Metro In Dino captures Mumbai's love tales with Arijit Singh's soul-stirring vocals and Pritam's nostalgic magic.
The first song from Metro… In Dino is finally here, and it promises a soulful journey through love and life in Mumbai. Titled Zamaana Lage, the track reunites music maestro Pritam with Arijit Singh and Shashwat Singh, delivering a heartwarming ballad that beautifully ties the film's interconnected stories together.
Directed by Anurag Basu, Metro… In Dino is a spiritual successor to the 2007 film Life in a… Metro and explores multiple urban relationships. The song's music video gives a glimpse into the lives of its ensemble cast. Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur share a gentle romantic arc, where he sees her off at the metro. Konkona Sen Sharma's character seems hesitant about accepting affection from Pankaj Tripathi.
Elsewhere, Saswata Chatterjee appears to be quietly observing Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher's characters in the alleys of Kolkata. Another segment shows the evolving, possibly troubled, dynamic between Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh's characters.
Through these snapshots of romance and complexity, Zamaana Lage threads everything together with music that feels warm, lived-in, and quintessentially Bollywood. The lyrics, penned by Qaisar Ul Jafri with contributions from Sandeep Shrivastava, explore the idea of giving love another chance—despite the risks of heartbreak.
Fans were quick to react with nostalgia and emotion. 'Pritam da & Arijit da the duo is back to serve!!!" wrote one user. Another added, 'Arijit Singh's voice in Zamaana Lage is pure magic — soulful and deeply emotional. Every word he sings feels like it's coming straight from the heart." One listener declared, 'This one's going straight to my playlist," while another summed it up simply: 'The OG Bollywood is back."
With Zamaana Lage, Anurag Basu and Pritam seem ready to revive the emotional soundscape of early 2000s Hindi cinema. Metro… In Dino releases in theatres on July 4, and if this song is any indication, fans can expect an emotionally rich musical drama.

Konkona Sensharma, Amol Parashar's Dating Rumours Last year, Ranveer Shorey's comment on a social media post sparked speculation about the relationship status of his ex-wife, Konkona Sen Sharma. A parody account on X shared that Konkona Sen Sharma took the best decision to leave Ranvir Shorey and date Amol Parashar. Replying to this, Ranvir wrote, 'I agree." Konkona and Amol have worked together in the 2020 film Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare. Amol had dropped hints about being involved in a committed relationship during an interview to The Times of India last year. However, he did not name his romantic partner. Asked about what was stopping him from revealing his relationship before the world, Amol had asserted that there was 'no good reason to put it out there". He had further said that actual relationships feel extra 'pure" when kept a secret from the world. Without taking Konkona's name, he said, 'We are not hiding from people. We go to parties, and people know. But to put something out in the media hasn't felt necessary. It's not like we need it." Konkona was earlier married to actor Ranvir Shorey. They lived separately for nearly five years before their divorce got finalised in 2020. First Published:
