Pat McAfee Had One Word for Caitlin Clark on Saturday
Pat McAfee Had One Word for Caitlin Clark on Saturday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
To say that Caitlin Clark came back with a bang on Saturday would be a major understatement.
The 23-year-old played in her first game for the Indiana Fever on Saturday after missing five straight contests due to a quad injury. It was a big game, too, as the Fever hosted the defending champions, the New York Liberty, in a marquee matchup at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Clark understood the gravity of the moment, and she stepped up to the plate in a major way. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year went off in her return, dropping a season-high 32 points on 11-of-20 shooting, eight rebounds, nine assists, a steal, two blocks and seven triples in 31 minutes of action.
More importantly, Clark was able to lead the Fever to a 102-88 statement win, handing the Liberty their first loss of the season.
Clark took it to Instagram shortly after the win, where she posted some of her favorite photos from her big night.
"good to be back🫶🏻💫" Clark wrote.

McAfee has been a vocal supporter of Clark and the Fever, and he's made his opinion of the former Iowa superstar clear yet again with his comment here.
McAfee will likely be cheering for Clark and Co. again when they return to action on Tuesday against the Connecticut Sun.

Heavy rains suspend play at US Open, raising the possibility of a Monday finish to the final round
The tradition of the US Open finishing on Father's Day Sunday could be in jeopardy after play was suspended due to dangerous weather. The final pairing of Sam Burns and Adam Scott were about to tee off on the 301-yard, par-3 eighth hole just after 4 p.m. ET when the horn blew, indicating that play was being suspended. Heavy rain had just begun to fall on Oakmont Country Club outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as a line of imposing clouds changed direction and headed over the course. There is now real worry that the final round may not wrap up on Sunday and could finish on Monday. The sun will set at Oakmont at 8:52 p.m. ET and the leaders have 11 holes left to play – approximately two-and-a-half hours of playing time. The US Golf Association has not yet given an approximate time of when play could resume. This is a breaking story and will be updated.

Angel Reese Facing Punishment After Chicago Sky Game on Sunday
Angel Reese Facing Punishment After Chicago Sky Game on Sunday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Chicago Sky entered Sunday's game against the Connecticut Sun riding a three-game losing streak. Coming in with just two wins on the season, both of which came against the 1-11 Dallas Wings, Chicago has not started its 2025 WNBA campaign well. Advertisement Sunday's contest between Chicago and Connecticut was a battle of two teams with identical records. Each entering the game 2-7, which is last in the Eastern Conference, the Sky and Sun were both looking to turn things around. This heightened competitiveness was on full display in the third quarter of this game when Angel Reese got into it with Olivia Nelson-Ododa. Shoving the Sun forward, Reese was issued a technical foul, as was Tina Charles. The two offset, and no technical free throws were shot by other team. That said, punishment is still expected to come for both Reese and Charles. Unless the WNBA rescinds these technical fouls, both Reese and Charles can expect to be hit with a fine. Per league rules, there are mounting fines for each technical foul a player accrues in a given season. A player's first three technical fouls come with a $200 fine, 4-6 carry a $400 punishment and each one after that will cost a player $800 and a one-game suspension (h/t Chloe Peterson of IndyStar). Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese (5).Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images Per FOX Sports, Reese came into Sunday with just one technical foul on the season, meaning she can expect to be hit with a $200 fine if the WNBA chooses not to rescind her technical.
