'Spartacus: House of Ashur' to premiere on Starz this winter
Nick E. Tarabay will reprise his role of Ashur from 2010's Spartacus: Blood and Sand.
Spartacus franchise creator Steven S. DeKnight is the showrunner for the latest chapter.
"What if he lived, and the Romans rewarded his treachery with the gladiator school where he once bled? Welcome to the House of Ashur. No longer a slave, Ashur has clawed his way to power, owning the same ludus that once owned him," a synopsis for the show said.
"But ruling a band of merciless gladiators is child's play compared to surviving the savage world of Roman politics -- a cutthroat game in which betrayal isn't a sin, it's currency."
The cast will also include Tenika Davis, Graham McTavish, Jamaica Vaughan, Jordi Webber and Jaime Slater.

It's all in the family. The hit series 'Outlander' now has a spinoff, 'Outlander: Blood of My Blood,' premiering Friday, Aug 8 on Starz (8 p.m. ET). Heughan isn't in 'Outlander: Blood of My Blood,' since it shows Jamie's parents falling in love before he was born. She added, 'But we have a brilliant team of support behind us. We work with an intimacy coordinator, who makes sure that we feel safe and confident before we step on set for any kind of those kinds of scenes.' Slater explained that there's always a closed set for sex scenes, 'which means there's as few people as possible, and we rehearse a lot beforehand. Sean "Diddy" Combs wants to go back to Madison Square Garden, his attorney says
As Sean "Diddy" Combs awaits his sentencing, his lead attorney Marc Agnifilo sat down with CBS News' Jericka Duncan in his first network interview since the highly publicized trial in which a New York jury found Combs guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution but acquitted him of more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. When discussing the hip-hop mogul's future goals, Agnifilo said Combs told him "he's going to be back at Madison Square Garden." Asked about what Combs wants the public to know, Agnifilo explained that Combs has been reflecting on "the blessings that he's been given, on the imperfections that I think he sees in himself." "I think he wants to get out of jail, reestablish a loving, present relationship with all of his seven children. He wants to take care of his mother," the defense attorney added. "I think he's someone who's always going to strive to do something, you know, exceptional and probably demanding and challenging," Agnifilo said about Combs' potential plans for the future. "But I think the most demanding and challenging thing in front of him right now is to get back with his kids and get back with his mother, and the people who love him and miss him."
