Drake officially cancels postponed Australia, New Zealand shows after months of delay
TORONTO - Five months after Drake backed out of concerts in Australia and New Zealand, his fans are set to get their money back. Live Nation Australia has notified ticketholders that four postponed shows for the Toronto rapper's Anita Max Win tour are now officially cancelled, after assurances earlier this year that they would be rescheduled. The entertainment company says refunds will be issued, stating on the TicketTek retailer website that 'extensive efforts' to reschedule the shows 'within the necessary timeframe was not possible.' It added that Drake remains committed to performing in the countries again 'when his schedule permits.' Drake blamed a 'scheduling conflict' when he sidelined the tour, which was his first since a crippling spat with rap rival Kendrick Lamar. At the opening show Feb. 4 in Perth, he walked onto the stage wearing a black hoodie that appeared to be punctured by bullet holes, the mock wounds on his back pouring out theatrical smoke. A few shows later, he handed out cash to a few lucky fans, which attracted so much attention that people started showing up with signs begging him for financial aid. The Anita Max Win tour stalled out shortly after that, and he postponed the last four shows. Ticketholders were offered refunds or the opportunity to hang onto their tickets for rescheduled dates that never materialized. Since then, Drake has performed elsewhere. Last month, he surprised fans of Morgan Wallen with an appearance at the controversial country star's second tour date in Houston. He then took the stage with the Backstreet Boys a few weeks later in Toronto, where the boy band jokingly welcomed him as their 'sixth member.' He also made a guest appearance at rapper Central Cee's concert in Toronto, telling the audience that his star-studded hip-hop concert OVO Fest would return this summer. So far, dates have not been announced. Drake also joined his collaborator PartyNextDoor for a run of U.K. tour dates earlier this month, with more European shows booked throughout September. This report by The Canadian Press was first published July 31, 2025.

Prince William's Appearance at Women's Soccer Final Feels Like a Response to 2023 Backlash
Prince William is making up for a very big 2023 controversy that had royal critics in a tizzy. He and Princess Charlotte made a supportive appearance at the UEFA European Women's Championship game on July 27 between England and Spain. The father-daughter duo made the perfect pair to champion women's sports, especially since the 10-year-old royal is a budding athlete herself. The Prince and Princess of Wales' Instagram account noted their attendance with an adorable snapshot of the family members. The caption read, 'Let's go, @lionesses! 🏴' More from SheKnows Nicole Kidman Is the Latest Hollywood Star To Embrace European Living With a Harry & Meghan Twist Prince William's support was likely appreciated by the women's teams, but just two years ago, he took a lot of heat for his decision to skip the World Cup final. The England women's soccer team made it to the final for the first time in nearly six decades, and many people expected his presence in Australia as the president of the Football Association. Instead, he stayed with the royal family at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. LBC News anchor Nick Ferrari criticized the royal for not making the trip. 'Spain can send its queen and her daughter, who I assume is a princess, and we send the culture secretary Lucy Frazer,' he said. 'If it was the blokes, you would have everybody there. You'd possibly have the king. You'd certainly have Prince William, who's the chairman of the FA. They'd all get out there, but not, it would appear, for the girls.' The Football Association is one of William's high-profile patronages, and the women deserve as much support as the men. Mandu Reid, leader of the Women's Equality Party, accused the royal family of sexism to the Daily Mail in 2023. 'The President of the Football Association, Prince William, isn't bothering to attend, licensing laws haven't been relaxed, there won't be a screen at Trafalgar Square, and there's been no word of any kind of large celebration should they win,' she said. 'This last-minute scramble to show support for the Lionesses by our leaders isn't just embarrassing, it reveals how little they think of women's sport. You can guarantee that there's no way the men's football team would be treated with such disregard and disrespect.' Instead of being there in person, William shared a video on X with Charlotte by his side — it felt like too little, too late. 'Lionesses, we want to send you a huge, good luck for tomorrow, we're sorry we can't be there in person, but we're so proud of everything you've achieved and the millions you've inspired here and around the world,' the Prince of Wales said in the clip. 'So go out there tomorrow and really enjoy yourselves.' The Lioness team lost in the final to Spain that year, but hopefully William and Charlotte's Sunday support helps them to victory in of SheKnows All the Best Fashion Moments from Lindsay Lohan's Acting Comeback 50+ Fantastic TV Shows You Should Be Watching Right Now The Hogans, The Osbournes & More Famous Familes Whose Feuds Played Out in Public Solve the daily Crossword

Justin Timberlake Addresses Tour Backlash With 'Debilitating' Health Revelation
Justin Timberlake wants his fans to know that he heard the social media backlash about his European leg of The Forget Tomorrow World Tour loudly and clearly. Still, there's something else he needs you to know. After wrapping up his final performance date on July 30 in Istanbul, Turkey, the 44-year-old singer revealed that he's been dealing with a 'debilitating' illness. The July 31 Instagram post began with a look back at his 'two incredible years' on the road as he decided to ' write something from the heart' to all of his followers. More from SheKnows Prince William's Appearance at Women's Soccer Final Feels Like a Response to 2023 Backlash While acknowledging that the tour has been 'the most fun, emotional, gratifying, physically demanding, and, at times, grueling experience,' he was also dealing with something serious offstage. 'As many of you know, I'm a pretty private person. But as I'm reflecting on the tour and festival tour – I want to tell you a little bit about what's going on with me,' Timberlake wrote in the caption. 'Among other things, I've been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease—— which I don't say so you feel bad for me–– but to shed some light on what I've been up against behind the scenes.' 'If you've experienced this disease or know someone who has — then you're aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically,' he continued. 'When I first got the diagnosis, I was shocked for sure. But at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness. I was faced with a personal decision. Stop touring? Or keep going and figure it out.' Per the Cleveland Clinic, Lyme disease is 'an infection that happens when an infected tick bites a human. The condition can cause joint pain. Antibiotics treat Lyme disease. Even after treatment, some symptoms may linger.' For Timberlake, he 'decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling.' Even though he was 'reluctant' to talk about his diagnosis, the former NSYNC star admitted that he's 'trying to be more transparent about my struggles so that they aren't misinterpreted.' It's likely that the TikTok videos that captured Timberlake's weaker moments onstage were a direct result of his Lyme disease. European fans were critical when Timberlake seemingly continued to take a break while singing 'Can't Stop The Feeling' from the 2016 movie, Trolls. He let the audience do the performing while he half-heartedly did some dance moves. A Daily Mail insider claimed that the singer was 'in a rut' and 'needs to do something new' — but perhaps he needed to be honest with what he was going through. Medical privacy is important for everyone, but Timberlake's revelation might have been better addressed while the tour was going on — his fans would have certainly been empathetic to the situation. Instead, they felt slighted at some concert stops, and it caused a whole buzz on the internet which could have been avoided. Before you go, click for more documentaries about strong women in music.
