Sir Paul McCartney has said he felt "pretty terrified" while recording a new duet with Barbra Streisand.
The Beatles star, 82, recorded a version of his track, My Valentine, with Streisand for her new album, The Secret Of Life: Partners, Volume Two.

Speaking about the session, he said in a website post: "(It was) nerve-wracking. Nail-biting! I did the session with her in LA and I was pretty terrified.

"I think the session was about three hours, you know, a normal kind of session, and it was produced by my friend Peter Asher.
"But it started off with a big 40-piece orchestra on the Sony lot, which is one of the old Hollywood film studios; it's very impressive. And we were on 'The Barbra Streisand Scoring Stage', so no pressure there!
"I thought, 'Well, this will be easy because it's my song, it's My Valentine. What can go wrong?' But what I'd forgotten was that they'd arranged it so that it had to go in Barbra's key and then in my key.

"So, to get from Barbra's key into mine was kind of difficult, and I had to launch in not knowing what key I was in. Mine was lower, hers was higher. It wasn't easy at all!"
He added: "I thought if Barbra is going to do my song, I've got to encourage that. And she was great.
"I didn't realise how rounded she is, creatively. They were filming the session and as soon as we went in, she said, 'Who put that camera there? That shouldn't be there, bring it over here. And what about those lights?' I thought, 'Wow, you're directing it!'

"But then I suddenly remembered she's directed three big movies. She's a smart cookie."
Ahead of the song's release last Friday, the Funny Girl star, 83, said in an Instagram post: "What a joy it was to record 'My Valentine' with @paulmccartney. To share time with him in the studio was truly special!"
The album, set for release on June 27, acts as a sequel to her Grammy-nominated record Partners from 2014.

Coronation Street siblings look unrecognisable almost two decades on from ITV soap exit

CORONATION Street fans have been left stunned after spotting two former child stars looking totally unrecognisable. The twin sisters were last seen in Weatherfield 17 years ago - but do you recognise them? The long-standing character first appeared on the cobbles back in 2000 and is the daughter of Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien). They were involved in some major dramatic storylines from being kidnapped by her paternal grandmother Brenda Fearns (Julia Deakin), to taking an ecstasy pill that her uncle had stashed inside of her doll and ended up hospitalised. However, Bethany left the cobbles in 2007 when Sarah decided to move to Italy. Advertisement Since then, the twins have moved away from the acting and showbiz world. They competed in the British Trampoline finals in 2016, with Amy securing a place in Great Britain's team the European Championships the following year. Emily shared a snap with her sister on Instagram back in January - and the pair look worlds away from their Coronation Street days. They both beamed at the camera as they holidayed in Thailand. Advertisement She captioned the snap: "The last of Thailand," alongside a yellow heart emoji. Meanwhile, when Bethany Platt returned in 2015, Lucy Fallon took over the role. Inside Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon's £300 per night holiday at luxury getaway She has brought drama and awareness through major storylines, including being groomed by Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) and getting a stoma bag through botched surgery. The 29-year-old returned to Corrie in December 2023 after having previously left in 2019 to go on maternity leave after welcoming her first child, Sonny, in early 2023. Advertisement The actress then revealed she was leaving again shortly after she announced she was pregnant with her second child, who she gave birth to in January with partner Ryan Ledson. Despite exiting twice, the door has always being left open for her to return - but Lucy has now hinted she's quit for good. Johnny Carter: Johnny has been played by three actors since debuting in 2013 - most recently, Charlie Suff has taken on the role. The soap star has signed up to talent agent Off Limits, which help TV stars and influencer clients land brand deals, which goes against ITV's strict rules for their cast. While Coronation Street does allow product placement on the show, like with the Co-op and Costa Coffee, the cast is generally restricted from doing their own brand deals. Advertisement This has caused some tension, with actors expressing frustration at being able to promote products on the show but not off-screen. The Sun have reached out to Lucy's rep for comment. A slew of mid-salary stars is furious that ITV bosses have agreed to the money-spinning deal to have the high street giants' shopfronts and products on-screen on the expanded new set. But at the same time, cast members are banned from taking ad work promoting products away from the soap that could massively boost their earnings. Advertisement ITV rules state that the stars are only allowed to take part in other shows like I'm A Celebrity and Dancing on Ice and do personal appearances like shop openings. It comes after Jack P Shepherd is set to be bombarded with big money deals after winning Celebrity Big Brother. But any plans to cash in by signing up to star in television adverts will be blocked by Coronation Street bosses. A TV insider said: "It used to be a lot more strict, but these days ITV soap stars are allowed certain partnerships that are permitted on social media. Florence Pugh pays homage to NHS nurses in emotional YungBlud music video

Florence Pugh starred as a a nurse in Yungblud's new music video and gained her wings while portraying the 'dark side' of healthcare, resulting in heaps of praise from NHS nurses for raising awareness YUNGBLUD released his latest music video to newest single 'Zombie' starring Hollywood actress Florence Pugh, who opened up about her emotional appearance in the video which pays homage to the efforts of the NHS. The heart-wrenching video showcases the struggles of healthcare workers, with Florence portraying the overwhelming experience as a nurse consumed by grief, fatigue and the taxing need to remain positive. ‌ The Little Women actress said the decision to work with YUNGBLUD (formally Dominic Harrison) was "the easiest yes" she'd given. She shared her process, saying: "I always try to align myself and my career with people that inspire me. He inspires me but in an even more important way because his soul, authenticity of who he is and what he's making is so electric and full of love". ‌ Florence said the song "made [her] leap at the opportunity of collaborating" and that the shoot "was a dream", where the singer supported her "as hard as [she] was supporting him. That's true legendary leadership." READ MORE: Florence Pugh and Yungblud leave onlookers baffled as they pour pints at pub The Marvel star has since taken to Instagram to share her love for the project, posting a thread of images that has since received a million likes. She captioned the post, writing: "I believe in everything YUNGBLUD stands for and am absolutely inspired by how he uses his art and his voice. Being part of his music video for 'Zombie' feels surreal to me". Florence then shared that the unexpected duo "have been trying to find something to work together on for a while" and all it took was a "suuuper casual" voice note to convince Pugh squeeze the project into her "insanely busy schedule". "I haven't known him for long but I'm just so proud of this beautiful British talent," Florence said before thanking the singer "for making this love letter to nurses all around". The music video in question hitting 1.8 million views on YouTube in three days. ‌ Zombie's British Rock sound marries perfectly with the moody shots of Florence smiling amongst patients and being crushed by the emotional turmoil of nursing. Cavell Charity's Instagram shared nurse s' comments, one reading: "As an oncology nurse, this made me ugly sob in a ball in the corner. I have cried on my bathroom floor over a patient I lost and cried happy tears with a different patient as they ring the bell after finishing chemo in the same day. ‌ "Nursing is one of the hardest yet most rewarding careers and this is such a beautiful portrayal of both the darkest and most joyful moments we go through. Thank you for this". Another wrote: "I've been a nurse for 23 years and no one ever talks about what goes on behind the professional mask. We are human too". "We all want someone or something to comfort us no matter how we are right now or who we become in the future. But it's f***ing scary," shared YUNGBLUD, who's inspiration was originally his grandmother "going through serious injury and trauma, leading her to become a different person to who she was before". The video's vulnerability conveys "the feeling of deterioration and ugliness; shutting out the world and the people we love out of the fear of becoming a burden or an embarrassment".

Meet Love Island Scot Alima Gagigo who is hoping for romance in the Majorcan villa this summer

Love Island is back for its 12th season next week and one Scottish singleton is hoping to find love in the sun this summer Scotland's very own Alima Gagigo is hoping to find love on this year's season of Love Island. The 23-year-old graduate hails from Glasgow and is swapping the rain for the Majorcan sun this summer as she heads into the world's most famous villa in a bid to find romance. The lineup for the 2025 Love Island cast was revealed earlier today (Tuesday), and Alima hopes to follow in the footsteps of the likes of gym boss Anton Danyluk, radio host Laura Anderson and singer Paige Turley, Scots who have all appeared on the ITV show throughout the years and captured the hearts of viewers. ‌ Self-proclaimed flirt Alima will be entering the villa this year in the hopes of finding her very own Prince Charming. ‌ The islander describes herself as a "good flirt" and reveals she has a go-to tactic when chatting up guys in clubs and bars across Glasgow, which she hopes will translate to the villa. She revealed, showing off her typical Scots sense of humour: "I always ask guys on a night out to guess which country I'm originally from. If they get it right, they can get my number. "But they never guess correctly so it works really well if you don't want to give a guy your number." Alima was bred in Glasgow and born in West Africa, as she went on: "I'm originally from Guinea Bissau. If they're close and I really fancy them, I'll give them my number anyway." The Scottish beauty revealed she likes "a tall man with a handsome face" and said her type on paper tends to be "Disney Prince". ‌ She went on: "You know when you just look at a guy and they have that Disney prince look to them? That's it." Singleton Alima has brains as well as beauty, as she studied at Glasgow Caledonian University from 2019, graduating with a BA Honours in International Business in July 2023. ‌ When she was studying she worked at Quiz, the high-street fashion retailer which was founded in Glasgow, as a store assistant. Since graduating, she's been working as a wealth management client services executive. Outside of her professional life, Alima boosts over 6.5k followers on Instagram - a number which will no doubt grow after her stint on the show. On her Instagram page, she shares snaps from all across the world, having posted photos from holidays in Malta, Lisbon, Mykonos, Paris, Ibiza and Morocco. She enjoys a glamorous lifestyle and is no stranger to a bikini, living it up on holiday as she has previously posted a photo of herself at Wayne Lineker's famous Ocean Beach Club in Ibiza - as well as other beach clubs in Marbella and Mykonos. And Alima must have made an impression on the Ibiza club owner, as Wayne also follows her on Instagram. ‌ She will be joining 11 other new singletons hoping to find love this summer. Let's hope Alima will be able to find her Prince Charming in the six boys hoping to make an impression - taxi driver Ben, gardener Tommy, personal trainer Dejon, water operative Kyle, construction project manager Blu and semi-professional footballer Harry. The five other girls on the OG lineup also include motivational speaker Sophie, payroll specialist Meg, cabin crew Helena, musical theatre performer Megan and marketing executive Shakira. You can take a look at the full lineup here. Love Island returns to ITV2 on Monday, June 9 at 9pm.
