A total of 165 slots are available across multiple disciplines, including engineering and science streams. Final-year BE/BTech students and second-year MSc students in select subjects are eligible to apply. The application deadline is July 20, 2025.
DRDO Internship 2025: Stipend and Benefits
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000, disbursed in two instalments over the internship duration. A certificate will be awarded only upon successful completion of the full term, which includes a project work evaluation.
DRDO Internship 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be enrolled in full-time undergraduate/postgraduate courses from AICTE or UGC-recognised institutions.
BE/BTech applicants should be in their final year with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 or 60% marks.
MSc students (Physics or Chemistry) must be in the second year with at least 75% marks in the first year.
Applicants must not be older than 25 years as of July 20, 2025.

State's first sanitary waste-to-energy plant inaugurated at Varkala
Thiruvananthapuram: LSG minister M B Rajesh inaugurated state's first sanitary waste-to-energy plant at an event held at Varkala SN College auditorium on Thursday. Speaking at the event, the minister assured that facilities to process all sanitary pads produced daily in the state would be established during this cabinet's tenure itself. He added that Varkala municipality advanced from 1370th to 158th place in the central govt's cleanliness ranking due to welcoming such positive changes. This is the first plant in the state to scientifically process domestic biomedical sanitary waste and generate electricity. The plant, near Varkala Kanvashram waste processing plant, was set up on municipal land at a cost of around Rs 1.5 crore with technical approval from State pollution control board. The plant enables the scientific disposal of domestic biomedical waste such as diapers, sanitary pads, non-reusable fabrics and hair. Cohance to invest Rs 110 crore in new facilities in Hyderabad and New Jersey
Hyderabad: Cohance Lifesciences Limited, backed by PE giant Advent International, is investing Rs 110 crore in its facilities in Hyderabad and New Jersey. This includes $10 million (approx. Rs 87 crore) in expanding its cGMP bioconjugation capabilities at its US-based subsidiary, NJ Bio, and Rs 23 crore in its new cGMP oligonucleotide building block manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. The new facility in Hyderabad, Cohance said, will enable it to take high-value chemistries like modified nucleosides and locked nucleic acids (LNA) from laboratory scale to full commercial manufacturing to fulfil the needs of innovators advancing oligonucleotide-based therapeutics. The Hyderabad-based company mentioned that the Hyderabad plant, integrated with a pilot plant for early-stage synthesis and non-GMP scale-up, will add fit-for-purpose GMP capacity of up to 700 kg annually, with room for future expansion. Research on haemophilia at Dharashiv's Ayurved College
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Govt Ayurved College at Dharashiv has started key research on haemophilia for possible ayurvedic interventions to minimise patients' dependency on allopathic drugs, among other objectives. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Haemophilia is a genetic disorder that causes hindrance in blood clotting due to a deficiency in clotting factors, exposing patients to a range of health risks. The first-of-its-kind research project, which is registered with the Clinical Trials Registry of India and the World Health Organisation (WHO), is working on 100 haemophilia patients. The dean, Dr NS Gangasagre, said an ayurvedic formulation named 'Raktamrut' has been prepared to treat the patients. "The project spans over 180 days involving five health camps, of which the maiden camp was held recently. We examined and recorded all body parameters of 100 patients before giving them the doses of 'Raktamrut'. The progress of these patients in fighting haemophilia will be observed during subsequent camps," he said. The formulation has been made out of five ayurvedic ingredients. "In ayurveda, these ingredients have been mentioned as a tried and tested remedy for blood-related disorders," Gangasagre said. A social foundation and a pharmaceutical company have aided the college to bear the cost of the project. "We spent around Rs 45,000 per patient while screening and offering medical kits and physiotherapy. The project has become self-sustained financially due to help from outside funding," the dean said. Dr Shubham Dhoot, a postgraduate student from the college, has been spearheading the project.
