Celtic confirm Scott Bain's exit as Rodgers pays tribute
The goalkeeper leaves the Parkhead club after a seven-and-a-half-year stay in which he won six Scottish Premiership titles, five Scottish Cups and four Scottish League Cups.
"I am really sad, of course, to be leaving the club but I am so thankful, too, for everything the club has given me," Bain told celticfc.com.
"I have enjoyed my time at Celtic massively and it has been a huge honour to be part of the biggest and best club in the country.

"I've made some great friends at Celtic and will always be supporting the club in everything it does.
"The Celtic fans are the best around and I thank them for all the support I have been given by them too.

The 33-year-old ended up making 78 appearances in green and white after joining Celtic, initially on loan, from Dundee in January of 2018.
Manager Brendan Rodgers paid tribute to the departing Bain: "Scott has given everything to Celtic and I would like to thank him sincerely for his time at the club," he said.
"He has been a valued member of the squad and a great team-mate, really liked and respected by us all.
"Everyone at the club wishes Scott and his family all the very best for the future."

The Daily Mail reported following the end of the campaign that the playmaker had made it clear to the club that he "wanted" an exit after dropping out of the top flight with just a year remaining on his contract. And Turkish outlet Fotomac now claim that the player has told his agent to find him a new club with Trabzonspor "asking" about the potential of a deal. And that could alert Martin as he looks to overhaul the squad this summer - who has made no secret of his admiration for Aribo. Speaking during their promotion-winning Championship campaign on midfielder, he said: "He's been a brilliant teammate, an amazing character as you know. He's humble, works hard, smiling. "I've not seen many players or teammates that are as popular as him, even when you're not playing, which is like the biggest credit to him, really." He has also noted how he fits his footballing philosophy perfectly, stating during his time with the Southampton: 'You trust him to go and put a certain level of performance on the pitch and to want the ball, to run for his teammates. "He's a brilliant teammate and I think he's someone that you trust.' A return would test Aribo's career mantra - having previously insisted he likes to take himself out of his "comfort zone". After his move away from Glasgow, he said: "I think for me, what's so important is the timing of everything. "I had some offers down south but I chose to go away from home, come out of my comfort zone - which is so important for your own growth personally. "So for me, life is about little steps to get to your goal and that's why I made the choice to go up there. And then why I came back to Southampton." First pre-season friendly of Neil Lennon's new Dunfermline Athletic era announced
Dunfermline will play Fife neighbours Kelty Hearts in a pre-season friendly. The match is thought to have been mooted as part of the deal that took Michael Tidser from Kelty to East End Park back in January for his short-lived stint as manager. It is the first of this summer's friendlies involving the Pars to be announced. Neil Lennon is scheduled to take his side the short journey to New Central Park on Saturday, July 5, with a 3 pm kick-off. The teams met last season in the SPFL Trust Trophy, with Dunfermline winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Chris Kane and Matty Todd. The Fifers begin their Premier Sports Cup campaign a week later with a glamour trip to face Hearts at Tynecastle. That game, which will feature Derek McInnes' debut competitive match in charge of Hearts, has been chosen for live television. Dunfermline are also expected to also play friendlies on the weekend of June 28/29 as well as the following two midweeks as Lennon prepares his side for his first full season in charge. The former Celtic and Hibernian boss, who took over for the last seven games of last term, recently penned a new two-year deal to stay on at East End Park. Kelty are also under new management, with defender Tam O'Ware being handed the reins permanently after a short stint as caretaker following the departure of Charlie Mulgrew in April. The League One side will also face Kirkcaldy & Dysart on June 28, Broxburn Athletic on July 1 and Clyde on July 8 before kicking off their cup campaign with a trip to Brora Rangers on July 15.
