Nashville Predators vs. St. Louis Blues: Live Game Thread
The Nashville Predators (25-33-8, 58 points) kick off a three-game home stand when they host the St. Louis Blues (33-28-7, 73 points) Tuesday at Bridgestone Arena.
The Blues are currently in fifth place in the Central Divsion, eight points behind the Minnesota Wild. They are also tied with the Vancouver Canucks for the second Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, though Vancouver holds the tiebreaker.
Predators forward and alternate captain Filip Forsberg enters play on an eight-game home point streak against the Blues dating back to Nov. 21, 2018 (5-8—13). He has posted just one longer run in his career against a single opponent (11 games vs. CBJ; active).
Tuesday's matchup marks Michael Bunting's first game at Bridgestone Arena as a member of the home team. The forward, acquired from the Pittsburgh Penguins ahead of the March 7 NHL traded deadline, made his Predators debut Friday on the road against the Anaheim Ducks after being activated off of IR (appendectomy).
Juuse Saros will get the start in goal for Nashville, while the Blues are expected to go with backup goaltender Joel Hofer against the Predators.

Cardinals' Brendan Donovan Shares Major Injury Update After Blue Jays Game
Cardinals' Brendan Donovan Shares Major Injury Update After Blue Jays Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Understandably, Louis Cardinals second baseman Brendan Donovan plans on staying in the lineup and avoiding the injured list. Advertisement As of Wednesday evening, Donovan remains optimistic that'll be the case. Donovan told reporters after Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays that an MRI confirmed a sprained capsule in the joint of his left big toe. According to Cardinals reporter Jeff Jones, Donovan called a potential IL stint a "worst case" scenario. Donovan did not play on Wednesday. "[The injury is] kind of in a weird spot," Donovan explained. "It happened to me on my back foot, the foot I rotate off of." Jones reported on X/Twitter that Donovan could miss a few days. The Cardinals open a four-game set against the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday. St. Louis Cardinals second baseman Brendan DonovanGregory Fisher-Imagn Images Donovan said he would definitely travel to Milwaukee. Advertisement "I'm feeling much better today," Donovan added. "Obviously, we did a bunch to it today ... I wanna be able to full go [and not just hit.]" Although the news isn't ideal, it's nonetheless a major bullet dodged, at least in the short term. The Cardinals cannot afford to lose Donovan, who owns career highs in average (.310) and OPS (.819) through 64 games. It's been another fine season for Donovan, who has already posted 2.3 bWAR and notched 20 doubles for a Cardinals team chasing a Wild Card berth. As of publication, the Cardinals (36-32) sat three games behind the San Diego Padres (38-28) and Philadelphia Phillies (39-29) for the NL's final Wild Card spots. 'Everybody Has Opinions!' Browns WR Hopes to Put Sketchy Past Behind Him
'Everybody Has Opinions!' Browns WR Hopes to Put Sketchy Past Behind Him originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Cleveland Browns hope to have solved their quarterback problem this season. With two veterans and two rookies in camp this summer, they've got options for who will be throwing the ball in 2025. Advertisement What they don't have is a lot of options for guys catching those balls. Cleveland has just two receivers on their summer roster who have caught at least 50 passes in a season. Jerry Jeudy and Diontae Johnson. And Johnson is a question mark. Johnson had a drama-filled season in 2024 and played for three different teams. He led the Panthers with 30 catches and 357 yards over the first two months of the season before being traded to Baltimore, where he lasted seven weeks and caught one pass. He was also suspended by Baltimore for refusing to enter a game against the Eagles on Dec. 1. The Ravens waived him not long after, and he was claimed by the Texans. Houston waived him three weeks later after he became emotional about playing just 15 plays in the Wild Card game against the Chargers. Advertisement Now, he'll try to clear his head in Cleveland, where he spoke during minicamp for the first time about last season. "I don't want to speak on a lot of stuff," Johnson said. "Everybody's going to have their opinions, you know what I'm saying? So at the end of the day, I'm the only one in that room that really know what's going on. They're entitled to their own opinion, so I can only go off of what I know and then try to go off what I put out there and my best effort. But like I said, last year is last year. I'm trying to change that narrative and move the right way and keep going." The Browns took a flyer on Johnson on a one-year deal for the veteran minimum with no guaranteed money. Johnson also said Cleveland was the only team that reached out to him. And so far, head coach Kevin Stefanski has been impressed. Advertisement "Diontae's doing a nice job," Stefanski said Tuesday. "Obviously, getting up to speed with terminology and those types of things, and I think we'll just continue to work. But it's good to have him out here." In what could be his last chance in the NFL, Johnson will need to impress this upcoming season. And it wouldn't hurt if he caught about 50 passes ... from whoever is throwing the ball for the Browns. How to watch Chelsea vs Manchester United live: Stream link, TV channel, team news, prediction
Chelsea's tenuous hold on a Champions League space meets an old rival when lower-half Manchester United visit Stamford Bridge on Friday. The Blues enter Week 37 with 63 points, above sixth-place Aston Villa on goal differential and seventh-place Nottingham Forest by a single point. Advertisement WATCH — Chelsea v Manchester United Enzo Maresca's men control their own destiny with the visit from the Red Devils before a potentially-huge scrap at Forest to close the season. As for Friday's visitors, Manchester United are prepping for the Europa League Final, their only path to the Champions League thanks to a mostly-abysmal Premier League campaign. The 16th-place Red Devils go to London with more than a single eye on their Wednesday UEL Final against Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao. For live updates and highlights throughout Chelsea vs Manchester United, check out PST's live blog coverage below… How to watch Chelsea vs Manchester United live, stream link and start time Kick off time: 3:15pm ET Friday Venue: Stamford Bridge TV Channel: Peacock Streaming: Premier League on Peacock Chelsea team news, focus OUT: Nicolas Jackson (suspension), Jadon Sancho (loan - unable to fce parent club), Christopher Nkunku (undisclosed), Aaron Anselmino (thigh), Wesley Fofana (thigh - out for season), Mykhailo Mudryk (suspension), Omari Kellyman (hamstring - out for season), Marc Guiu (thigh) Manchester United team news, focus OUT: Matthijs de Ligt (knee), Diogo Dalot (calf), Joshua Zirkzee (thigh - MORE), Ayden Heaven (leg - MORE), Lisandro Martinez (torn ACL - MORE), Toby Collyer (leg) | QUESTIONABLE: Leny Yoro (ankle) Chelsea vs Manchester United prediction This, in theory, should look more like a Conference League match than a Premier League match, as the Blues will arrive with urgency while United simply want to be healthy for Spurs and the UEL Final. Of course Amorim will expect fire from the players he selects for this match, but Chelsea's first-choice team — even without suspended Nicolas Jackson — is better than United's first-choice team, let alone its depth. Chelsea 3-1 Man United.
