It shared a photo that showed a logo of Ozzy's name above a black candle with a flame on top. The caption simply included an emoji depicting a candle. Accompanying the photo and its caption was the song Holy For Tonight, which was included in the post. The track, co-written by Ozzy, featured on his second most recent album, titled Ordinary Man, which was released back in 2020. The post has amassed more than 220,000 likes since it was uploaded this afternoon. Some fans took to the comments section to address the loss and reflect on it having been almost a week since 'the Prince of Darkness' died. One person wrote: "We will miss you forever." Members of the heavy metal band were good friends with Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon and needed time out. 7 7 7 7 Rockers Pantera say they can't face taking to the stage following the death of their 'inspiration' Ozzy Osbourne. The heavy metal band have rescheduled a number of shows so they can have space to grieve the music icon. The death of the Black Sabbath frontman, a pioneer in the genre, was announced last Tuesday. Pantera - Phil Anselmo, Rex Brown, guitarist Zakk Wylde and drummer Charlie Benant - grew close to Ozzy and say they need time to come to terms with the loss of their friend. In 1997, the group performed at Ozzfest, a music festival featuring heavy metal acts organised by him and his wife Sharon and they stayed close ever since. Pantera said: 'Ozzy wasn't just a legend who shaped the very foundation of heavy metal and inspired Pantera from the beginning — he was family. "A mentor, a brother, and a constant presence in our lives both on and off the stage. "The bond we shared with him ran far deeper than music. 'In light of this profound loss, we need time and space to grieve — to be with our families, our crew, and each other. "As we process and honour the life of someone who meant so much to us. Inside Ozzy Osbourne's final days after historic last show 'took huge toll' on his health "Out of respect, and to allow members of our team the time to mourn, we will be the following rescheduling shows. The brothers also sang the track Rock 'N' Roll Star, from the same year, in honour of Ozzy, who was the self-proclaimed Prince of Darkness. Football comes home: Jubilant fans greet Lionesses on return to England
The team landed back in the country on Monday afternoon after defending their Euros title in a penalty shootout win over Spain in Basel, Switzerland, on Sunday. Supporters, many of whom were dressed in England kits and holding flags, cheered as they waited outside Southend Airport in Essex to greet the Lionesses. Among them were twins Poppy and Daisy Macdonald, 11, from Benfleet, Essex, who were holding a sign asking for a photo with star striker Alessia Russo. Poppy said: 'We're so proud. They've won it two times in a row and they've worked so hard for it. 'They've had a lot of injuries and setbacks but they've done really well.' Daisy admitted she struggled to watch the penalty shootout, adding: 'I couldn't watch, I was very nervous, but very happy that they won.' In a post on X, the team shared a photo of the Euros trophy draped in an England flag on a seat on the plane. After the game, the King said the team had the royal family's 'warmest appreciation and admiration' in a post on X, adding: 'The next task is to bring home the World Cup in 2027 if you possibly can'. A trip to Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle may be on the cards for the winning squad as it is understood possible plans for a reception in the autumn are being explored by royal aides.
