Danny O'Donoghue has a bold claim to make about Taylor Swift: she's a Scripty.
The Script's frontman shared a video on the band's official TikTok account this week, where he shared a sweet story from backstage during the Red Tour, when he surprised her London audience onstage to perform "Breakeven."
He sat on a weathered park bench, with green brush climbing over the stone wall behind him, as he began the video, 'Did you know that Taylor Swift is a fan of the band?'
'…we were doing a duet in the O2, and we were talking about lyrics,' he recalled, leading her to reportedly admit to him that one of her favorite lyrics, at least when she was 24, comes from one of the group's songs, 'If You Ever Come Back.'
'There's a lyric in it, which is, 'I wish I could still wish it was over and I wish I could still give you a hard time.' Which means that if you were longing to be back in that relationship, even though it was unhappy, right now, I'd give anything to be back in that unhappy relationship,' he explained.
'And, you know, I'm a Swiftie,' he concluded. 'But I guess Taylor's a Scripty.'
Fans were delighted by the lore, with several exclaiming, "my two worlds colliding???"
"this is how you get my attention, continue," another quipped, while others affirmed they "Love stories like this."
""😳😳 i still can t process this ❤️❤️❤️," someone else admitted.
"Scriptys 🤝 Swifties," someone else joked, as another wrote, "TS 🤝 TS."
As you might expect, many called for a reunion between the two artists, with one calling for a new collaboration and others suggesting that Swift's "Right Where You Left Me" would mash up perfectly with "The Man Who Can't Be Moved."

Danny Boyle Opens Up About His One Regret After Leaving JAMES BOND Behind — GeekTyrant

When Danny Boyle walked away from directing James Bond 25 back in 2018, it was a surprise and a shock because a lot of fans wanted to see how he would handle the franchise. Now, years later, the Oscar-winning director is looking back on that decision, and while he's not second-guessing it, he admits there's one thing that still lingers. Speaking to Business Insider, Boyle made it clear that returning to Bond isn't in the cards, especially now that the franchise has a new home with Amazon. 'That ship has sailed,' he said. Boyle then revealed that he still regrets leaving behind the script he was developing with his longtime collaborator John Hodge (the duo behind Trainspotting and T2 ). 'The script was really good. John Hodge is a wonderful writer.' That's the part that stings him, not the big-budget, globe-trotting spectacle or the pressure of following up Spectre, but abandoning a story he and he and Hodge believed in. Before Cary Joji Fukunaga stepped in and No Time To Die became Daniel Craig's swan song, Boyle and Hodge had cooked up something that reportedly involved a Russian villain and Bond's death, which did eventually happen in the final film. According to the report, that element was already baked into Craig's contract. So even though Boyle's version never made it to screen, some of its DNA may have survived. Boyle's original take could've given us a radically different Bond finale, one with his signature visual flair and subversive storytelling. But creative clashes with producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson ultimately led to his departure. Broccoli, speaking before Amazon's acquisition of the franchise, was adamant about protecting the core of the character: 'There have been so many erroneous rumours about the future of Bond. Amazon is committed to keeping the spirit of Bond alive and that means he has to be British or from the Commonwealth – and he has to be male.' So while the future of 007 remains wide open, and Amazon undoubtedly has plans, don't expect Boyle to be part of it. His Bond moment passed, but I sure would love to read that script that Hodge wrote!

For Some, Dressing in Outdated Clothing Is the Point

When Zack Pinsent was 14, he set fire to his last pair of jeans. It was a declarative act for Mr. Pinsent, who also shed his purple polos from American Eagle and his other modern clothing in what he said was an attempt to find his own sense of style. He realized, he said, that 'the high street wasn't speaking the vocabulary that I wanted to dress in.' That moment set him on a journey of finding, wearing and styling clothing from bygone eras. Today Mr. Pinsent, now 30, exclusively wears historical garments, with a preference for styles from the Georgian (1714-1837) and Regency (1811-1820) periods — complete with waistcoats, pantaloons, stockings, cravats, tail coats, top hats and canes. He often makes the garments himself from vintage fabrics he is able to source from those eras. Mr. Pinsent might be an extreme example of so-called historical dressing. But now that he runs his own clothing business, creating bespoke pieces made to resemble those from the 17th through the early 20th centuries, he has noticed a shift in demand. 'My clientele is getting younger and younger, which is fantastic,' he said. 'They're fed up of fast fashion and the global scourge that it is.' He said they are also pushing back on 'wearing beige the whole time' and are 'against the minimalist IKEA look.' Mr. Pinsent is among a number of fashion fans showing interest in period dress, a trend recently boosted by shows such as Netflix's 'Bridgerton' (set in the Regency era) and its spinoff, 'Queen Charlotte,' as well as HBO's 'The Gilded Age.' He is partial, however, to 'Downton Abbey,' the period drama set between the 1910s and 1920s that ran for six seasons and spawned two films, with a third to be released in September. Bonhams, an auction house, is looking to capitalize on this fervor for modern pieces made to appear historical by launching an exhibition and auction of costumes and props from the 'Downton Abbey' franchise.
