Chris Brown arrested in Manchester for assaulting a music producer in a nightclub

was taken into police custody on Thursday in Manchester, England, for allegedly hitting music producer Abe Diaw with a tequila bottle at a London nightclub back in 2023.
The arrest comes weeks before the singer's Breezy Bowl XX Tour.
Shedding light on the matter, a Met spokesman revealed, "A 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 02:00hrs on Thursday, 15 May on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has been taken into custody, where he remains. The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023. The investigation is being led by detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit.''

Brown reportedly took off to Manchester on a private jet on Wednesday. As the Met detectives learned about this, they also flew to Manchester to arrest him.
Back in October 2023, Diaw filed a lawsuit against Brown. He claimed that
Brown
"inflicted severe and lasting injuries" on him as he attacked him over the head with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 in February 2023 at the Tape London nightclub.
Diaw was taken to the hospital, and he even needed crutches to walk by the time he was discharged. The alleged attack took place when Brown was on the Ireland leg of his worldwide tour. The tour started in Dublin's 3Arena on February 11, 2023, eight days prior to the alleged incident.
However, this is not the first time Brown has gotten into
legal
trouble. Back in 2009, the singer pleaded guilty to brutally beating his then-girlfriend,
Rihanna
.
Not just that, in 2017, Rihanna was even granted a five-year restraining order against Brown.
Going by the reports, Brown allegedly became aggressive towards Rihanna for not giving back the money and gifts he had given her during the course of their relationship.

Fraudsters, posing as IPS officers, dupe retired doc of 2 cr
Hyderabad: Cyber fraudsters, posing as IPS officers, duped a 70-year-old retired doctor from the city of 2.2 crore by threatening her with arrest in a fake terror-related case. The Hyderabad cybercrime police registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter. According to officials, the victim, a resident of Srinagar Colony, received a call on May 27 from a fraudster who identified himself as 'Prem Kumar Gautam, IPS'. The caller alleged that she was involved in a terror-related case being investigated in Lucknow and further claimed that her name was linked to money laundering activities. While still reeling from the shock, the victim received a video call on WhatsApp from another fraudster impersonating NIA Director General Sadanand Date. He claimed that her contact number, along with 17 photos of army officers and seven ATM cards, was recovered during the arrest of terrorists. She was warned that the investigation had national security implications and was instructed not to disclose the matter to anyone. The case was registered under sections 111(2)(b) (organised crime), 308(2) (extortion), 318(4) (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 319(2) (cheating by personation), 336(3) (forgery for purpose of cheating), 338 (forgery of valuable security, will etc), 340(2) (using as genuine a forged document or electronic record) of the BNS and sections 66-C, 66-D of the IT Act. Police are analysing the bank transaction details to identify the accused. Hagawanes in magisterial custody remand till June 16
1 2 Pune: The court of judicial magistrate first class Amol Shinde on Tuesday extended the custodial remand till June 7 of Nilesh Chavan, business associate of Shashank Hagawane and co-accused in the dowry death case of Vaishnavi Hagawane. The court sent Vaishnavi's father-in-law Rajendra Hagawane and brother-in-law to magisterial custody remand till June 16. They were later sent to the Yerawada Central Jail. Bavdhan police's senior inspector Anil Vibhute produced Chavan and the Hagawanes before the court following the end of their initial custodial remand. Vibhute filed a remand report to extend Chavan's custodial remand by five days and sought magisterial custody for Hagawanes. Assistant public prosecutor Nitin Adagale told the court that the custodial interrogation of Chavan was essential because the police recovered a firearm licence, revolver and two cellphones of Vaishnavi's mother-in-law Lata and Shashank's sister Karishma from him. Vaishnavi's husband, mother-in-law arrested in cheating case MIDC Mhalunge police on Tuesday secured the custody of Vaishnavi Hagawane's husband Shashank and mother-in-law Lata from the Yerawada Central Jail and arrested them for duping a farmer to the tune of Rs11.7 lakh in a case relating to an excavation machine transaction since March 20, 2022. Khed court judicial magistrate first class JB Mhaske sent the duo to police custody remand for three days. Farmer Prashant Yelwande (33), a resident of Nighoje village in Khed, registered a complaint with the police on May 29 stating that he had purchased an excavation machine in Lata's name for Rs11.7 lakh through a recovery agent and was paying EMI of Rs 50,000 per month to Shashank. However, instead of depositing the money in the bank, Shashank colluded with the agent and got the machine seized from Yelwande's possession and duped him. Later, Shashank refused to return the machine or repay the EMI paid by Yelwande and allegedly threatened him with a gun.
