Salford Lads and Girls Club chief executive Laura Slingsby said: "Bruce was so lovely and spent his time chatting with the young people and answering some of the questions they had about his musical history."She said: "Watching the faces of the young people as the night unfolded was pure magic."Andy Hamill, National Director of National Association of Boys & Girls Clubs, said the tickets were provided through the association's partnership with World Youth Clubs.He said while music was important to many of the youth clubs' members, the cost of attending events was a major financial barrier, with Saturday's show being the first live concert for many of them. Springsteen has been in Manchester for a run of shows at Co-op Live, the first of which coincided with the one-year anniversary of the venue's opening.

Andy Carroll has reportedly dumped his girlfriend Lou Teasdale following a string of heated rows. It comes just two months after it was reported that the former Premier League striker, 36, was questioned twice by Greek police over a series of bust-ups with Lou, 41, while the pair holidayed in Mykonos, Greece. The pair, who were together for just over a year, have now unfollowed each other on social media and Andy has wiped all trace of Lou from his Instagram. A source told The Sun: 'Andy got sick of Lou's demands and her influencer lifestyle. 'She's always posting on social media and he hates that. He told her it was over this week. He's single now.' The father-of-five returned to the UK with Dagenham & Redbridge last month after a two-year spell in France. The insider added: 'It's been a tough time and now he's back in the UK, he just wants to focus on football and his kids. 'He hates the influencer lifestyle. US Vice-President JD Vance is set to meet Nigel Farage for breakfast later today after spending the evening with The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner. The US politician and reality TV star's unlikely friendship began on X and resulted in Skinner receiving an invite to join Mr Vance at his holiday residence in the Cotswolds. The Essex trader said the opportunity was 'once in a lifetime', also describing the Vice-President as a 'proper gent'. Vance hosted the barbecue with invitees including Cambridge Academic James Orr and Conservative MP Danny Kruger, The Times reported. A picture of the pair was shared on Skinner's social media. He wrote: 'Here is a pic of Me and Vice President JD Vance towards the end of the night after a few beers 'I'm overdressed in my suit, but when the VP invites you to a BBQ, you don't risk turning up in shorts an flip-flops 'Cracking night in the beautiful English countryside with JD, his friends and family. Fittingly for right–wing Republican Vice President Mr Vance, the manor house has a history of Tory political figures as previous owners. It even has a former Tory Prime Minister living a very short stroll away. Dean Manor was built in 1702 for local Oxford Tory MP Thomas Rowney and is grade II listed. It was until recently owned by Tory peer Peter Selwyn Gummer, Baron Chadlington. Former Tory Prime Minister David Cameron – who is also known as Lord Cameron of Chipping Norton – also lives in Dean with his wife Samantha and he has a permanent team of armed Metropolitan Police Protection officers at his home there. Dean Manor is about as close a neighbouring property to Clarkson's own Cotswolds home, Curdle Hill Farm, better known as Diddly Squat Farm, can be. They are a mile apart as the crow flies, separated mainly by Clarkson's own arable fields.
