Fortinet has introduced updates to Lacework FortiCNAPP and expanded the availability of several security solutions in the AWS Marketplace, aimed at improving cloud security for organisations operating across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
The latest releases are intended to make it easier for customers to protect their applications, workloads, and data as businesses accelerate their adoption of cloud technologies. Fortinet's expanded presence in AWS Marketplace extends options for procurement and management of its products for Amazon Web Services (AWS) users.
Enhanced protection features
Fortinet's enhancements to Lacework FortiCNAPP offer reinforced security for cloud-native applications throughout their development and operational lifecycles. Key improvements include real-time CloudTrail alerting, which can now detect critical activities such as compromised credentials or anomalous API behaviour much more quickly by reducing AWS CloudTrail alert latency from 24 hours to under 15 minutes.
Other new features include an Explorer (Security Graph) tool, which allows for an interactive visualisation of attack paths and asset relationships, making it more straightforward to identify and investigate threats such as internet-facing vulnerabilities. FortiCNAPP also now supports agentless scanning for Windows workloads across any cloud environment, enabling vulnerability and secret detection without the need to install software. Additional fleet management capabilities provide greater visibility over large-scale deployments including inventory, health, and coverage.
Product bundles newly available include options with Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), content delivery network (CDN) functionality, and Security Operations Centre as a Service (SoC-as-a-Service), alongside AI-powered zero-day threat detection and remediation. These elements are designed to improve web application and API security.
Expanded AWS Marketplace portfolio
The company has increased the number of its solutions accessible via AWS Marketplace, allowing customers to acquire and manage Fortinet offerings within their existing cloud procurement workflows and apply AWS Enterprise Discount Program (EDP) commitments. Among the services that are now available are FortiAppSec Cloud, which provides unified web application and API protection (WAAP), FortiMail Workspace Security, which delivers protection across platforms like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, FortiNDR Cloud for AI-based threat detection, and FortiSIEM for scalable incident response.
Fortinet Incident Response Services have also been added to AWS Marketplace. The services are designed to deliver expert support for AWS customers, integrating with both AWS-native tools and FortiGuard threat intelligence to support a comprehensive approach to incident management and response.
Fortinet has achieved the AWS Security Incident Response Specialisation, which recognises the company's ability to deliver streamlined incident response solutions that are supported by AWS security response experts. This reflects Fortinet's strategic emphasis on offering end-to-end security expertise managed through a single vendor and deployment model. "Fortinet is committed to accelerating secure cloud transformation for our customers. By making more of our services available in AWS Marketplace and enhancing leading cloud-native solutions like Lacework FortiCNAPP and FortiAppSec Cloud, we're making it easier than ever for organisations to protect every cloud workload, application, and network edge."
That statement was provided by Nirav Shah, Senior Vice President, Products and Solutions, Fortinet.
All-in-one approach
These launches are part of Fortinet's strategic data to help organisations reduce reliance on isolated point products by offering integrated security capabilities across application, network, and user layers. Consolidating various services—including WAAP, network detection and response (NDR), security information and event management (SIEM), cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP), and workspace security—aims to give businesses full-stack protection with simplified management, better scalability, and reduced cost.
For customers with significant cloud spend commitments seeking investment optimisation, Fortinet's FortiFlex licensing model provides a flexible, daily usage-based approach, supporting rapid deployment and elastic scaling, and allowing customers to only pay for the services that they use.
The Fortinet Security Fabric and consulting teams offer proactive risk assessment and incident response, aiming to help AWS customers strengthen their security postures as cloud usage continues to grow.

Chainguard launches partner programme after $356 million raise

Chainguard has announced the launch of its Global Partner Program aimed at helping channel partners deliver trusted open source software to customers. The new initiative intends to bridge the gap between traditional channel models and increasingly complex cloud ecosystems. Chainguard will be working alongside several major cloud service providers, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure, to offer more cohesive and scalable security solutions through its channel partners. Key programme features The Chainguard Partner Program introduces a two-tier structure with increasing benefits based on partner engagement and impact. Among the main features are incentives via sourced deals, co-sell influence, and customer referrals. Technical enablement is a significant component, with partner-exclusive training, onboarding, deal registration, lead creation tools, and access to both Partner and Technical Advisory Councils. The programme also offers joint go-to-market support, including account mapping, sales enablement, marketing support, and co-branded initiatives. Early adopters are given a first-mover advantage in delivering a new solution category before competitors can enter the space. The launch and expansion of this programme are being supported by Chainguard's recent Series D funding round, which saw the company raise $356 million at a valuation of $3.5 billion, intended to drive the company's next stage of growth. The need for secure OSS Open source software now accounts for more than 90% of the code in modern applications, significantly increasing the importance of robust software supply chain security. Recent high-profile incidents such as attacks targeting SolarWinds, Log4Shell, and xz-utils have elevated concerns among organisations, which now face stricter regulatory requirements and compliance mandates from frameworks such as FedRAMP, PCI, NIST SSDF, DORA, CRA, and HIPAA. The proliferation of sovereign cloud initiatives has added further complexity to compliance and risk management. "We're at a tipping point in software security. The growing reliance on open source, coupled with the rise in sophisticated supply chain attacks, has made it clear that reactive security models are no longer enough," said Ryan Carlson, President, Chainguard. "Organisations need to build fast, but they also need to do so securely – and that starts with trusted open source. With partners across the channel ecosystem, we're making it easier for the world's most innovative companies to build, deploy, and innovate on a foundation that's secure from the start." Chainguard's approach is to provide trusted open source software that is rebuilt from source in hardened environments, thereby supporting engineering teams in securely developing and deploying new code without additional burdens. Riskified & HUMAN join forces to tackle AI-driven eCommerce risks

Riskified has announced a partnership with HUMAN Security to help merchants manage risks and opportunities created by the rise of AI shopping agents in eCommerce. The collaboration between Riskified, which provides eCommerce fraud prevention and risk intelligence, and HUMAN Security, a cybersecurity company, is focused on advancing a unified security framework for merchants participating in agentic commerce channels. Both companies will leverage their AI platforms and network insights in a joint effort to help merchants address the challenges of increased AI-driven transactions. Online consumers are rapidly adopting large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Llama, and Perplexity to research products, compare prices, and identify deals. This trend is gaining pace as LLM providers enhance browser experiences and integrations, broadening the impact of AI on eCommerce behaviour. However, as AI agents become intermediaries in shopping decisions and purchases, merchants face new risks as well as opportunities. Changing risks Traditional, rules-based fraud management tools often rely on behavioural signals from human shoppers. When an AI agent conducts a transaction, these signals can be absent, leading to increased false declines or undetected fraud. Merchants adopting AI-driven shopping features can potentially win new customers and improve conversion rates, but they also encounter risks such as revenue loss, inventory manipulation and reputational harm. Data from Riskified's merchant network highlights the risks associated with LLM-referred web traffic. LLM-referred traffic for a large ticketing merchant was found to be 2.3 times riskier than traffic originating from Google search, and for an electronics merchant, AI-driven traffic was 1.8 times riskier. Riskified also reports early signs of automated reseller arbitrage, where AI agents purchase inventory rapidly to resell at higher prices via fraudulent storefronts recommended by other agents. Such activities can undermine pricing strategies, damage customer trust, and result in substantial financial losses if not properly managed. New solutions Riskified is introducing a suite of new products and tools designed to help merchants monitor and control eCommerce orders emanating from AI shopping agents while preventing fraud and policy abuse. Announced solutions include AI Agent Approve, which enables merchants and LLMs to interact securely with Riskified's APIs through a package available on AWS Marketplace; AI Agent Intelligence, offering dashboard monitoring of eCommerce orders originating from AI agents; and AI Agent Policy Builder, which detects and enforces policies related to returns abuse, reseller arbitrage and promotional abuse. The partnership allows merchants to apply consistent trust policies and automated transaction decisions across both human and AI-driven interactions, supported by HUMAN's recently launched Sightline platform featuring AgenticTrust and Riskified's expertise in chargeback and policy abuse prevention. "In a world where AI agents transact on behalf of individuals, resolving identity and trust becomes more complex. By working with HUMAN and developing new agentic tools and capabilities, we give merchants a way to safely embrace this shift, turning what could be a threat into a new, profitable digital channel," said Assaf Feldman, CTO and Co-Founder of Riskified. John Searby, Chief Strategy Officer at HUMAN Security, added, "We are incredibly excited to be working with Riskified as a launch partner, bringing together HUMAN Sightline featuring AgenticTrust with their eCommerce risk management expertise to help establish a trusted ecosystem for agentic commerce. HUMAN provides the trust layer and visibility to identify and govern AI shopping agent interactions, empowering merchants to set and enforce 'trust or not' policies." Searby continued, "Riskified brings deep expertise in eCommerce transaction fraud prevention, chargeback protection, and policy abuse prevention. Together, we enable merchants to approve more legitimate AI-driven orders, reduce false declines, and protect margins, setting the standard for how agentic commerce can grow safely and profitably." By combining Riskified's and HUMAN's technologies and expertise, the two companies aim to help merchants confidently manage the ongoing evolution of eCommerce as AI agents play a larger role in online shopping and digital transactions.

Marketplace details The AI Agent Marketplace, developed and operated in partnership with AWS, is set to enter a beta phase in September. The platform will allow MSPs to procure ready-to-use AI agents designed for IT workflows such as ticket triage, alert remediation, and employee onboarding. Developers will also have the opportunity to publish their AI agents and generate revenue through the marketplace. SuperOps stated that the marketplace is intended to accelerate the adoption of autonomous AI in daily IT operations. Companies in the sector will be able to integrate agents that automate routine tasks, aiming to bridge the gap between AI experimentation and practical deployment across organisations. Supporting initiatives To support the launch, SuperOps revealed two additional initiatives targeted at building understanding and innovation within the IT and MSP communities. The first is the creation of the SuperOps Agentic AI Community, designed as a resource and collaboration hub for MSPs, IT professionals and developers. The second is the SuperHack Hackathon, an event powered by AWS, which challenges developers globally to create autonomous AI agents designed for real IT industry scenarios. Winning entries from the hackathon will be included in the marketplace, and participants compete for a combined $100,000 prize fund. Discussing the significance of the launch, Arvind Parthiban, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of SuperOps, said: "This launch marks a significant turning point for the IT industry. We're giving MSPs a way to tap into real, autonomous AI that can solve their day-to-day challenges and help them stay ahead. Partnering with AWS makes it possible to scale this across the industry and bring powerful, usable agents into the hands of teams that need them now." Industry landscape SuperOps' new offerings come at a time when AI interest in the IT sector remains high, but widespread adoption continues to encounter challenges. According to a recent poll by Canalys cited by SuperOps, 61% of partners indicated they have difficulty moving AI initiatives beyond proof-of-concept with their customers. SuperOps said that the combination of a curated marketplace, a collaborative community, and an innovation-driven competition is intended to address the obstacles hindering broader AI deployment in IT environments. The company's ecosystem intends to advance the sector beyond experimentation through several means: providing a platform for collaboration and learning, running the SuperHack Hackathon to incentivise the development of new solutions, and offering a marketplace for the secure and effective deployment and monetisation of AI applications. Role of AWS AWS is supplying the technological framework underpinning the marketplace, supporting its scalability, reliability, and performance. This infrastructure is expected to assist SuperOps and its users as agentic AI solutions are brought to production within the global MSP community at a larger scale. Developers, managed service providers, IT professionals, and leaders are being invited by SuperOps to engage with the Agentic AI Community, with opportunities to either participate actively in the SuperHack Hackathon or mentor others taking part.
