Only those with the very best eyesight can spot the kitten hiding in the leaves

Daily Mirror4 days ago
A brain teaser posted on Reddit has left most people stumped as they struggled to find the feline - but can you spot the tiny kitten hiding among the leaves in the picture?
Stimulating your brain is widely recognised as a way to boost cognitive function, improve memory, and sharpen focus and concentration. Some even suggest that regular mental exercises could postpone the onset of dementia symptoms.
Many people turn to brain teasers and puzzles to keep their grey matter ticking over, and it's believed that adding a time constraint can enhance the benefits even more. Not only are brain teasers entertaining – they're an excellent means of engaging your mind and encouraging lateral thinking.

The latest brain teaser to baffle the internet is a real head-scratcher, challenging even those with eagle eyes. Hidden within an image full of leaves is a tiny kitten waiting to be discovered.

The challenge claims that only individuals with a high IQ can spot all the hidden cats in this picture.
After being posted on Reddit, the image has left many scratching their heads, unable to locate the elusive kitty. A few sharp-eyed users have succeeded, but it appears to be a rare feat.
Why not set a timer and see how quickly you can find the kitten?

Be warned, though – it's not easy. Think you're up to the task?
Get set and go!

Have you spotted it?
Well done if so!
If you're still searching, one user offered a helpful hint: "Look for the other eye among black fur!" Another provided a more precise tip: "Go to slightly left of the middle and keep going down until you see the eyes. Once you see it it's impossible to miss. Hello Kitty!".
Reflecting on the image, one individual commented: "Human visual perception is weird. After scanning, I was able to locate the aberration in the leaves reasonably quickly, but it took a few seconds of processing to actually see and orient the cat. It's neat to see survival instincts at work – my brain could figure out 'something's wrong' faster than it could discern exactly what."

Love Island fans ‘work out' real reason Harrison QUIT show and walked out of villa

LOVE Island enthusiasts have figured out the 'truth' about Harrison's shock departure. Following on from controversial star Harrison quitting the villa after a tearful breakdown - fans have taken to social media to predict why. 6 Avid viewers anticipated it's down to Lauren being dumped because new bombshell Angel picks Ty - and she's left single. Users on Reddit wrote: "I bet it's Lauren who is dumped because Angel apparently wants Ty. Lauren will get dumped and Harrison will follow her out the villa." A second suggested: "It's Lauren who gets dumped. Angel is gunning for Ty, that's who she wants. Harrison will then walk after Lauren's dumping." "I think she gets dumped tonight and Harrison quits the next day, maybe he leaves with Lauren and the new bombshell picks Ty," agreed a third. "I think one of his girls is dumped and he then leaves because he feels sh*t about how he has treated the girl," mused another. "She wants Ty so my bet is Lauren will be dumped in tonight's episode," echoed a fan. "Bombshell picks Ty, so Lauren goes and Harrison follows her out. That would be crazy!!" suspected another viewer. It comes after the arrival of bombshell Angel, who is set to make her jaw-dropping entrance tonight. The stunning salon owner is heading for the ITV2 villa ready to cause a riot at the rodeo-themed party. Angel's arrival comes at the expense of another Islander in another shock dumping, with more to be unveiled soon. Controversial Love Islander QUITS villa after tearful breakdown Footballer Harrison Solomon, 22, decided to leave after being involved in one of the most dramatic love triangles in the show's history. Harrison left the villa late on Thursday night and will be heading home imminently. The Derby lad, who is based in Miami, has been interchanging between Toni Laites and Lauren Wood for days - leaving both of them in tears along the way. Last night's episode included a tense challenge which saw the couples decide who should place first, second and third after a number of brutal questions were put to the public. The day before, Harrison had been seen getting emotional after witnessing the devastation he was causing. Controversially, he made a plea to Toni ahead of the latest recoupling to pick him, despite Harrison having sex with Lauren twice. In previous scenes, fans watched the intimate moments ensue, before he pulled Toni for a chat a short while later and made his feelings for her known. Toni's decision to choose him in the recoupling blindsided their exes Cach Mercer and Lauren, who were both left sobbing after the shock discovery. Harrison was called the "lowest of the low" by fans who were eager for producers to step in and axe the "damaging boy' - prior to his exit. 6 6 6 6

The Simpsons fans are just finding out TV show is behind huge rock band's name

Fans of The Simpsons are only just realising that the TV show is the inspiration for one huge rock band's name. The news was shared on Reddit as many people admitted they didn't know They've scooped seven awards including Grammys, yet many are still clueless about how Fall Out Boy chose their legendary band name. The American rockers, featuring Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley, kicked off in 2001 as a pop-punk side project. ‌ The band cycled through several drummers before Hurley came aboard, leading to their debut album Take This to Your Grave in 2003 and catapulting them into stardom. Among their smash hits are tunes like Sugar, We're Goin Down, Dance Dance, Thnks fr th Mmrs, and My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up). ‌ Yet, despite their stardom, the origin of Fall Out Boy's name remains a mystery to some fans, with one Reddit user confessing they'd only just discovered the tale behind the name. ‌ A Reddit user shared: "Today I learnt the band Fall Out Boy was named after a character in The Simpsons (Radioactive Man's sidekick), when a fan in the crowd, at their second ever show, shouted the name as a suggestion." Further details from American Songwriter reveal: "In the 1990s, Radioactive Man was introduced on the long-running animated series The Simpsons. A movie starring the famous comic book hero was being filmed in Springfield and Bart Simpson's friend, Millhouse Van Houten, auditioned and was chosen to play the role of Radioactive Man's sidekick Fallout Boy." ‌ "Several years later, when bassist Pete Wentz and guitarist Joe Trohman were forming a new band, they were reserved to booking shows as 'Pete's New Band,' until something better came along. "In 2001, the name Fall Out Boy was chosen after the band asked the crowd, during their second show together, what they should be called and someone yelled "Fallout Boy. " The name immediately stuck." ‌ It went on: "Though the band liked the name, they had no idea at the time that it was referencing a Simpsons character at first. "Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy originally made their first appearance in the real comic book series published by Bongo Comics, in 1994. "Co-founded by Simpsons creator Matt Groening in 1993, the short-lived comic series featured stories centred around the Simpson family and other characters from the show. The comic printed its final issue, Simpsons Comics #245, in 2018." ‌ Reacting to this revelation, one Reddit user said: "Now I feel super old. I thought this was common knowledge." Meanwhile another added: "I always thought that was a really good band name." A third user said: "Weird... I've never associated 'Fall Out' in Fall Out Boy to mean radioactive fallout." A fourth person also exclaimed: "Huh... I always assumed it was about something else I wasn't aware of... but I guess it's nice that I was right without knowing it.."

Sister-in-law sparks fury by wearing 'inappropriate' dress to wedding

A bride was left heartbroken after she spotted what dress her sister-in-law was wearing on her wedding day. People have taken to social media to slam the women over the 'inappropriate' dress Most brides spend hours ironing out every detail to make sure their wedding day goes off without a hitch. But no matter how much they planning they put into their wedding, they can never guarantee everything will go exactly right on their big day. ‌ That's exactly what one bride came to learn when she clocked eyes with her new sister-in-law and the 'inappropriate' dress she was wearing as she walked down the aisle. On Reddit, she said: "The dress code was summer pastel chic, so think Easter colours. The girlfriend of the groom's brother wore a sage green wedding dress that in no way, shape or form appeared to be sage green or any other colour." ‌ She also shared photos of the dress – a strapless number, which had flowers stitched on and appeared to be an off-white shade. ‌ Not only this but it turns out her new mother-in-law already asked the bride whether she could wear a white jumpsuit to the wedding – a request the bride politely refused. The situation sparked outrage on social media as users shared a thought for the bride and the extra stress her new family caused her on what was meant to be the best day of her life. Commenting on the post, one user said: "I'm not even a stickler for wedding etiquette, but this is crazy. Does anyone say anything to people like this? ‌ "Because I would. I would make it a thing. Probably for years. I have no problem burning bridges. Not because you broke the dress code, but because she is clearly a horrible person." Another user added: "Tell me you're jealous without telling me you're jealous. I would have the photographer photoshop the dress a different colour but not say anything. ‌ "Hang a big photo up with and the family and her new dress. Wait for her to say something. She may not." While a third person said: "Ok that's fully a wedding gown ma'am. Couldn't even let her have one day huh?" Spmeone else added: "Wow, that's very bridal," as another chimed in: "The only sage green I see are her shoes." A final user wrote: "The last wedding I went to was my wife's childhood best friend. That I only met once. (But know what she looks like.) "And I saw someone else at the reception who wore a white dress and went over to them. Told them congrats on getting married and that I'm sure everyone was so excited for her. "And she is like 'I'm not the bride…' and I was just like 'Oh why are you wearing white?! Isn't that a d**k move?!' She got super upset. My wife's friend said I'm one of her favourite people now."
