Popular drama Vasudha has been winning hearts with its powerful storytelling and emotionally resonant characters. One of the key relationships that audiences are eagerly waiting to see unfold further is the bond between Dev, played by Abhishek Sharrma, and his on-screen mother, portrayed by the talented Parineeta Borthakur who recently joined the cast. Speaking about his experience working with Parineeta, Abhishek shared how smoothly they have settled into working together despite her being a new addition to the cast. 'Even though Parineeta has just joined the show, we've been getting along really well on set. She's a very seasoned actor, and I've always admired her work in her previous shows. It's been great to finally share the screen with her and learn from her experience,' he said. Abhishek also mentioned how he and the rest of the team have tried to make her feel comfortable and welcome. 'Whenever someone new joins an ongoing show, it can be a little overwhelming. We've all tried to help her settle in and navigate the dynamics of the show, and she's adapted beautifully. Working together has been smooth and enjoyable given the fact that I also got the opportunity to help her navigate, and I'm sure this comfort will translate onscreen,' he added. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Queensland Pensioners Are Eligible For Invisible Hearing Aids Best Hearing Aids Learn More Undo For the uninitiated, Parineeta replaced Nausheen Sardar Ali, who earlier played the role of Chandrika Singh Chauhan. Son of Sardar 2 Review: Ajay Devgn, Mrunal Thakur Shine But The Film Is Not A Laugh Riot
Ajay Devgn and the gang try to make you laugh through the film, but fails due to mediocre comedy. Ajay Devgn is back as Jassi Randhawa after 13-long years, and we can't keep calm! The Sardar is back in action and this time it gets bigger. Director Vijay Kumar Arora takes you to scenic locations across Punjab, Edinburgh and other parts of England through the film. However, as picturesque as the locations are, the film fails to captivate the audience with the most important thing it is supposed to have — Comedy! Unlike its prequel, the film rides high on mediocrity, but thanks to the cast, you still can have a laugh riot through certain sequences in the film. What Works For The Film: Ajay Devgn as Jassi: Jassi Randhawa has his own charm and swag that is brought back after 13 long years and is portrayed to the point by Devgn. His comic timing, the subtlety he brings to the character is something that goes unmatched. However, Devgn also manages to pull down the song sequences in the film. He lacks energy, which makes one wonder if he was forced to be a part of the song. Mrunal Thakur as Rabia: The film also delves highlights the tension between India and Pakistan with a twist. The script manages to address the political tension between the two countries in a funny manner, but Thakur aces the portrayal of a Pakistani girl, who is settled in the UK and is going through the daily challenges of life with her family. As much as we love watching Thakur take the scenes in beautiful costumes that complement the scene, her lines in the film lack the punch that could have made it an even better movie. Deepak Dobriyal as Gul: Portraying the role of a beautiful woman is Dobriyal who is a breath of fresh air! He's unrecognisable as a woman in the film and aces his part thoroughly. Dobriyal brings to the table perfect comic timing and the right emotions to the scenes wherever it is required. He is sure to catch your attention through the film, and thanks to the makers, he has a good screen time through the 2-hour 25-minute film. The Supporting Cast: The movie also stars Ravi Kishan, Ashwini Kalsekar, Chunky Panday, Kubra Sait, Roshni Walia, Vindu Dara Singh and Sanjay Mishra in supporting roles. However, it is quite an emotional journey to watch Mukul Dev in action posthumously. The actor, who passed away recently, surely leaves his mark through the film as Tony. It is safe to say, he clearly makes Tony more than just a sidekick in the movie. Besides, it is fun to watch Ravi Kishan bring in the Punjabi energy. He is a true patriot in the film, and his love for the country and family makes his character interesting. However, the only disappointment are the mediocre jokes that run through the film. What doesn't work for the film: Lack of Good Humour: The movie is supposed to be a romantic comedy, but lacks that one main ingredient. To put in context; imagine being served good Butter Chicken without butter! Would it be the same? Well; that's exactly what has happened with the film. Touted to be a family entertainer, the movie lacks a good sense of humour. Having said that, certain sequences in the film would crack you up through the whole scene. The makers need to call for an 'SOS" when it comes to its writers. The Final Verdict: With all said and done, Son of Sardar 2 is a decent watch that you can think of watching at the theatres near you with your family. Though the film tries to give a message at the end, go with a mindset to watch some pure slapstick comedy that doesn't require you to apply your mind and logic. Lastly, be ready to be surprised for a small announcement in the end, and no, it's not Son of Sardar 3. The yet-to-be-titled Tamil film is based on a novel written by Perumal Murugan. He said, 'It's based on Perumal Murugan's novel Pookuzhi. He wrote the film's dialogue, while Deepak, the director of Witness, is the cinematographer. The film is ready for release, and we aim to release it after House Mates. Probably by the end of the year," as quoted by Hindustan Times. In addition to this, Darshan shared that the project will be an intense film. It revolves around a couple and the wrath of the society they face due to their inter-caste marriage. Notably, Thamiz and Perumal Murugan have previously collaborated on the 2022 film Seththumaan. It was another hard-hitting film based on food politics and how the caste system affects it.
