Ola Electric teases 2 new scooters ahead of annual Sankalp 2025 event
Ola Electric has dropped a new teaser across its social media channels for its upcoming electric scooters, and the new offerings will be officially unveiled at the company's annual 'Sankalp 2025' event. The event will be held at the Ola Gigafactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, and will serve as a platform for unveiling the Indian EV brand's latest roadmap for products and technologies, including an official showcase of the latest MoveOS 6 software for electric two-wheelers. As of now, little is known about the upcoming Ola scooters, but we expect them to be debuted as new offerings instead of being slotted into an existing product range. The teaser clip brings us short glimpses of the design of the new models, of which one is expected to be positioned as a sporty electric scooter, while the other might be built as a family-oriented commuter. The sportier of the bunch appears to feature sleek lines and creases with a sculpted seat finished off with angular pillion grab handles. The latter gets a more muted design with a short front beak and a single-piece grab handle at the rear. Notably, the teaser gives us a brief glance at what appears to be a camera affixed to the front end of one of the upcoming models, potentially hinting at upcoming ADAS features for the next range of Ola e-scooters. Ola Electric to showcase latest MoveOS 6 software at Sankalp 2025: Ola on Tuesday, August 12, announced that it will be showcasing its latest MoveOS 6 software for its electric two-wheelers at the Sankalp event. The EV maker is expected to integrate AI features with the new software, bringing features such as an AI chatbot and a Krutrim-powered voice assistant, among others. At last year's event, the company rolled out the current MoveOS 5 with a range of safety and convenience features. Also Read : Ola S1 to Chetak: Electric scooters in India with longest single-charge range Will we get to see the Ola Diamondhead at Sankalp 2025? Ola Diamondhead will be the flagship motorcycle from the brand when it launches While most details are under wraps, Ola Electric is expected to unveil its Diamondhead electric motorcycle at Sankalp 2025. A part of the company's Moonshot project, the Ola Diamondhead is a jarring concept model built to stand out with its dome-shaped front end that features an LED strip running across in your average Cybertruck fashion. Designed as a sportbike, the model gets clip-on handlebars and a single-piece seat on an upswept tail section. While the design itself is quite striking, what stands out even further is the fact that the concept ditches traditional telescopic forks for a swingarm at the front. This is aimed at cutting out road feedback through the handlebars due to contact with the road surface. Although the design seems to be a stroke of genius, whether it can be effectively translated onto a production model remains unclear. Check out Upcoming EV Bikes in India. First Published Date:

Good news for Apple fans: 10+ products, including iPhone 17 Series, M5 Devices, coming in 2025
We're well into 2025, but Apple still has plenty in store. Along with iOS 26, the tech giant is preparing to launch more than 10 new products before the year wraps up. Here's a look at everything Apple has planned for the coming months. Apple is expected to unveil four models. iPhone 17: The standard iPhone 17 could bring the A19 chip, a 6.3-inch display, a sharper 24MP front camera, and possibly 120Hz support. iPhone 17 Air: A brand-new iPhone 17 Air is rumoured, which could be ultra-thin, lightweight, with a 6.6-inch screen, 12GB RAM, a single speaker and an optional battery case. iPhone 17 Pro: The iPhone 17 Pro might feature a redesigned triple 48MP camera setup, A19 Pro chip, vapour chamber cooling, and a striking copper colour. iPhone 17 Pro: The iPhone 17 Pro Max should include all Pro upgrades plus a larger battery. Apple has rolled out multiple new iPads and Macs in 2025, but the series isn't complete yet. The next wave will bring the first devices powered by the M5 chip. MacBook Pro with M5: Retains its familiar look while offering M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max processor options. iPad Pro (M5): Features the M5 processor and is tuned for iPadOS 26's improved multitasking capabilities. New Mac Pro: Expected to match the M3 Ultra performance seen in the latest Mac Studio, though a major design overhaul seems unlikely. Vision Pro: A new head strap is rumoured to improve comfort for long use, with no other major design changes. While M5 Macs were initially expected in 2025, new reports hint their debut might be delayed to 2026. Apple Watch Ultra 3: Bigger screen, 5G, satellite messaging, faster charging, and brighter wide-angle OLED. Apple Watch Series 11: S11 chip, minor updates, and possible new 'Sleep Score' feature. Apple Watch SE 3: Potentially larger displays, overdue refresh since 2022. AirPods Pro 3: Better noise cancellation with H3 chip, launch could move to 2026. Apple is preparing to expand its smart home devices. Although ongoing Siri upgrades have slowed some of its larger plans. We can expect at least two new devices and possibly a third by the end of this year. Apple TV 4K (4th Gen): Expected to feature a faster A-series processor, Apple-designed Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip with Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 support, and potentially Apple Intelligence compatibility. A built-in FaceTime camera is still rumoured, but not confirmed for this model. HomePod mini (2nd Gen): Likely to include an updated Wi-Fi modem, better integration with other Apple Home devices, and improved audio performance. AirTag (2nd Gen): Could offer up to triple the current tracking range, along with a tamper-resistant speaker to boost anti-stalking safety. 'HomePad' (TBD): A possible smart home hub running homeOS, designed to act as a central control point for connected devices. Studio Display 2: Expected to keep its 27-inch size while introducing MiniLED technology for better visuals. It may also bring improved camera quality for sharper, more natural video calls. Rumours suggest the entire list of new products mentioned earlier could arrive this year or shortly after. But is there room for any surprise launches? Reports indicate Apple may be working on a Pro Display XDR 2 for release later this year or soon after, potentially designed to pair well with the upcoming Mac Pro.

How Mahindra Auto is scaling AI from factory floor to customer experience
At Mahindra Auto , AI is not a side project, it's part of the company's digital spine. From smart factories and AI copilots to software-defined vehicles and predictive maintenance , the automaker is putting artificial intelligence to work across its value chain. 'On the shop floor, we're using AI-powered systems for predictive maintenance, quality inspection, and real-time production analytics,' Rucha Nanavati, Chief Digital Transformation Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd tells ET Enterprise AI. 'In R&D, AI accelerates our design and development process.' On the customer front, AI enables hyper-personalised experiences through intelligent product configuration, data-driven marketing, and post-sale engagement. AI also up at the service centre, helping improve diagnostics and accelerate repair cycles. From pilots to production One initiative that's gone from pilot to production involves generative AI-powered maintenance assistants. These tools help shop floor executives with faster root cause analysis (RCA) for machine breakdowns. 'GEN AI powered assistants are also enabling our service executives for more accurate diagnostics based on previous repair reports,' Nanavati shares. Other AI initiatives include digital twins and ML models for productivity, safety, and cost-efficiency. A standout customer-facing use case is Vehicle GPT that's embedded in the customer app which allows users to access relevant vehicle information through natural, conversational queries. AI also plays a critical role in manufacturing continuity and supply chain resilience. 'We've adopted AI-driven analytics and agentic systems to drive real-time decision-making,' Nanavati shares. She points to predictive maintenance as a clear win, having 'significantly reduced unplanned downtime.' The company also uses AI to optimise inventory, a growing challenge in today's dynamic supply chain environment. Powering intelligent driving and sustainability Mahindra is actively integrating AI-driven intelligent driving and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) capabilities through MAIA (Mahindra AI Architecture), its proprietary AI platform powering next-gen electric SUVs. 'Tuned specifically for Indian driving conditions, MAIA combines data from multiple cameras and radars to enhance safety and adaptability on diverse roads,' she says. MAIA is also foundational to the company's software-defined vehicle strategy, built for continuous upgrades and innovation responsiveness. At Mahindra, AI forms the backbone of its sustainability strategy.'In manufacturing plants, AI agents are used to identify anomalies and patterns in energy consumption to ensure a balance of sustainability and throughput,' Nanavati explains. These capabilities support emissions monitoring and operational efficiency across the company's industrial footprint. Building capability and governance To embed AI at scale, Mahindra has set up an AI division at the group level to centralise expertise and cross-pollinate learnings across business units. This is backed by business-focused AI workshops, practical training, and a culture of shared accountability, where business leaders, not just tech teams, drive adoption. With great power comes great responsibility, as the saying goes, so equally important is governance. 'We embed responsible, ethical, and secure AI principles into every deployment—ensuring transparency by involving expert human oversight,' says Nanavati. The company has instituted audits, privacy safeguards, and secure-by-design principles under the oversight of an AI working committee and governance council. For peers still struggling to move beyond pilots, Nanavati's advice is clear. 'Anchor the AI strategy in core business priorities. With AI technology evolving at a rapid pace, fostering a culture of continuous learning is crucial.' Strong data foundations, governance frameworks, and leadership sponsorship are non-negotiable, she notes. 'It ensures that AI becomes an integral part of daily operations, rather than a siloed technology experiment.'
