Three men died after car hit tree in Tollerton, inquest hears
Three men died after a car they were travelling in left the road and hit a tree in Nottinghamshire, an inquest has heard.Harry Archer, 23, Luke Newton, 21, and Pearce Haran, 19, were all in the same vehicle on Cotgrave Road in Tollerton when it crashed on 22 May.Nottingham Coroner's Court heard another vehicle had also left the road at about the same time, but the driver survived.An inquest was opened on Tuesday before being adjourned while a police investigation continues.
The court heard an investigation from a pathologist gave a cause of death for Mr Archer, who was from Gunthorpe, as a chest injury.Mr Newton, who was from Bingham, died as a result of a head injury, while Mr Haran died from a combination of chest and head injuries.Mairin Casey, senior coroner for Nottinghamshire, said the trio were "travelling in one vehicle" at the same time and in the same direction as a second car."Sadly one of the vehicles came off the road and collided with a tree," she said."Another car also came off the road, and the [occupants] survived."Nottinghamshire Police said two men aged 20 and 27, who were arrested following the crash, remained on bail.

Woman jailed after stabbing shop worker during charity box theft

Police attacked in Grimsby after vigil for teen crash victim
Police were attacked following a vigil in a Grimsby park, according to a senior Pete Musgrave said officers were sent to the Grant Thorold Park area at about 17:30 BST on Monday to offer "reassurance" and "respond to any emerging issues swiftly".He said a group began to behave "antisocially", with some officers sustaining minor injuries. Police vehicles were also damaged, the officer added. No arrests have been in the day, a balloon release was held in memory of 18-year-old JP Perry who died on June 9, two days after a collision with a BMW on Heneage Road, Grimsby. Insp Musgrave said: "Local officers began seeing people driving dangerously around the park, leading to a motorbike being seized."Following the vigil, a group of people then reportedly began to behave antisocially, including causing damage to police vehicles, leading to some officers sustaining injuries. Thankfully, these are not thought to be serious at this time."Insp Musgrave said a number of people suspected to have been involved in the disorder had been identified, but urged anyone with information to contact Humberside Police.
