Police investigate deadly mid-day double shooting in Prince George's County
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. () — Police in Prince George's County are at the scene of a deadly shooting that happened in the middle of the day on Tuesday.
The Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD) said officers responded to the 5600 block of Regency Park Ct. at 12:35 p.m., where two men were found inside an apartment suffering from gunshot wounds.

One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second man was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Manassas man charged with rape after sexually assaulting girl he met on Instagram, police say
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. () — A Manassas man is being held behind bars after he allegedly sexually assaulted a child he met on Instagram, police announced Thursday. Officers arrested Widman Vicente Lopez, 19, on June 4, charging him with rape, solicitation of a minor and use of communications systems to facilitate certain offenses involving minors. According to the Prince William County Police Department, detectives opened an investigation after a girl, who is under the age of 13, told family members that a man had sexually assaulted her. 12-year-old accused of threatening to shoot up Prairie Grove Middle School
PRAIRIE GROVE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A 12-year-old is facing a felony charge after he reportedly made a threat saying he was going to go to the Prairie Grove Middle School and 'shoot it up' last month, according to authorities. The Prairie Grove Police Department said on the evening of May 17, a child who went to school in Huntsville was on a Snapchat video call with students from nearby schools when he was kicked out of the call. One taken to hospital after house fire in Rogers PGPD said that after he was invited back into the group, the child made a threat towards a Prairie Grove student who reportedly kicked him out of the group. The child then threatened the student and said he was going to come to his school and 'shoot it up.' Parents learned about the threat and reported it to PGPD the next day. The department said that with the help of a school resource officer at the Huntsville school, the child was detained and cited for threatening to commit an act of mass violence on school property.
