Jannik Sinner makes light work of Jiri Lehecka at French Open
The world number one, who only returned from a three-month doping ban three weeks ago, raced into the fourth round in just 94 minutes.
Sinner won the first 11 games against Czech Jiri Lehecka on his way to a commanding 6-0 6-1 6-2 victory.
'This morning I said to my team I'm feeling well and physically ready,' said the Italian.
'We had to go hard in the beginning because the beginning in grand slams is very important for confidence. I warmed up well, I felt very good so after 20-25 minutes I was feeling brave.
'My team gave me the right tactics, I tried to play them in the match so it's a combination of also being happy on court – it's very important.
'After today I don't think there's much I can improve but every opponent is different.'
Sinner will meet Russian 17th seed Andrey Rublev on Monday.
Meanwhile, Frenchman Arthur Fils has revealed he won a five-set match on Thursday despite having a stress fracture in his back.
The 20-year-old 14th seed, who beat Jaume Munar in a marathon match lasting four and a half hours, has been forced to withdraw from the tournament.
He said: 'I had some issue with the back for a long time, and during the match against Munar it got worse.
'Then I did some examinations. They were not good at all. I've got some stress fracture.'
Fils was unsure whether he will be fit enough in time to compete at Wimbledon.

Zinedine Zidane snubs monster £84million contract offer after deciding next job
Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane continues to be courted by clubs who are willing to pay mega-money to lure him back to management but the Frenchman is holding out for one specific role Zinedine Zidane is said to have turned down a lucrative proposal from Saudi Arabia which would have seen the former Real Madrid manager bank a staggering £84million for just one year's work. Zidane, 52, has not managed since the end of his second spell in charge of Los Blancos back in 2021. But that hasn't stopped clubs from courting the legendary midfielder, who has been linked with the Manchester United job among others during said period. Rumblings of interest in Zidane's services from the Saudi Pro League have been heard more recently, with a new report claiming that Al-Hilal made the Frenchman an offer. As per L'Equipe, the Saudi outfit were willing to pay Zidane €100m (£84m) to commit to just a one-year contract ahead of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup tournament. But unfortunately for the Saudi Pro League outfit, who have been on the lookout for a new manager since parting company with Jorge Jesus back in May, Zidane rejected their proposal. They have since been linked with Simone Inzaghi, the Inter Milan boss, who could be set for a new challenge after watching his team get smashed 5-0 by a rampant Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on Saturday night. Despite his prolonged absence from the dugout, Zidane is said to be in no rush to strike an agreement with any interested parties given he is still keen on managing the France national team. Much has been made of Zidane's ambition to manage his country in recent years and, intriguingly, there will soon be a vacancy with Didier Deschamps poised to stand down from his role after the 2026 World Cup. Deschamps confirmed earlier this year that the next major tournament would be his last, sparking fresh speculation over the role and Zidane. On his part, Zidane reaffirmed his plan to wait for that dream role earlier this week when he effectively put himself forward for consideration as Deschamps' successor. "I feel legitimate in the France team," he said. "[It is] where I played and spent almost twelve, thirteen or fourteen years as a player. Of course, it's a dream, I can't wait."

Oban racing star Susie Wolff says Netflix F1 documentary will help make history
Oban racing star Susie Wolff is paving the way for female representation on the Formula 1 grid through the launch of a new Netflix series. F1: The Academy goes behind the scenes as female drivers work towards earning a place on the starting grid. Wolff is the managing director of F1 Academy – a women-only racing league designed to develop and promote female talent in motorsport. Teaming up with Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon's production company Hello Sunshine, she hopes to end the stigma around the male-dominated sport. It has been almost 50 years since a woman competed in an F1 race. Late Italian driver Lella Lombardi was the last woman to make history during her appearance at the 1976 Austrian Grand Prix. She is the only woman to score points in a race, scoring half a point at the 1975 Spanish Grand Prix. Wolff, who is married to Mercedes F1 team boss Toto Wolff, is no stranger to the pressures facing females in the sport. The 42-year-old was a development driver for Williams and drove for the team during practice sessions at F1 races before retiring in 2015. She hopes change is around the corner, opening the door to fresh female talent. She said: 'Of course, I want to see a woman on the grid, and I think that will be inevitable when we get the building blocks in place that we know we have to do for long-term success and without a doubt, that will be a proud moment when we see a woman take to the grid. 'You know, there's only two spots in the grid per team, and it's very, very tough to get to Formula One, so we've got to make sure that we put the right steps in place that a woman has that chance in hopefully the not-too-distant future.' The docuseries will be hoping to replicate the global success achieved by the previous Drive to Survive series. The new Netflix series gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the trials and tribulations facing drivers and their prospective teams both on and off the grid. Wolff, who was born in Oban, hopes to inspire the next generation of female drivers. She added: 'The series is showing that the sport is no longer just a man's world because without Formula One, Formula One Academy wouldn't exist. 'We want to attract a new audience. We want to attract that next generation, the parents of the next generation, to challenge the idea that women can't be racing drivers, that it's an industry that's not really built for women. 'And I think by sharing these incredible human stories of these young drivers and their journeys, the challenges they faced, it really brings to life the fact that regardless of gender, there's an opportunity in the sport.' You can watch all seven episodes on Netflix.
