Shweta Bachchan's Mother-In-Law Helped Karisma Kapoor Get Over Abhishek Bachchan Breakup

Shweta Bachchan's Mother-In-Law Helped Karisma Kapoor Get Over Abhishek Bachchan Breakup

News185 hours ago

Shweta Bachchan is married to Karisma Kapoor's cousin, and is thus related to the Kapoors.
Karisma Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan were all set to tie the knot after dating for 5 years. However, their engagement ended soon after Jaya Bachchan publicly announced it. While the real reason behind the breakup is best known to the Kapoors and the Bachchans, Karisma once opened up about the 'trauma" she experienced from the split.
Karisma Kapoor told Subhash K Jha in an old interview that the breakup was a traumatic event in her life. She added, 'I want to thank the media for being so understanding and supportive. Everyone left me alone. I don't want to say anything more on this except that I couldn't have come out my trauma if it wasn't for my parents [Babita and Randhir Kapoor], sister [Kareena], my Dadiji [Krishna Raj Kapoor], my two Buas [Rima Jain and Ritu Nanda] and my close friends."
Interestingly, Karisma's aunt, Ritu Nanda, has a familial relationship with the Bachchans. Ritu's son, Nikhil Nanda, is married to Shweta Bachchan. Shweta is Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan's daughter. As such, the Kapoors and the Bachchans are related. Shweta and her kids, Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda, are often spotted at the Kapoors' family events. But, how are relations between Shweta and Karisma, given the history with Abhishek?
As per reports, Shweta Bachchan is fond of Karisma Kapoor and helped break the ice between her and the Bachchans years after their breakup. In 2018, Shweta Bachchan launched her clothing line with a star-studded party. Karisma Kapoor also made an appearance at the event. Reports claim that Shweta and Karisma seemed to get along well. A source told Deccan Chronicle, 'There was a sincere affection between them. For years, no member of the Bachchan family spoke to Karisma. Now, Shweta has broken the ice, and rightly so. You can't hold grudges forever."
Meanwhile, before this, in 2003, Karisma married Delhi-based industrialist Sunjay Kapur. They had two kids together. But their union quickly unravelled, eventually leading to a highly public and bitter divorce battle in 2014. While the couple initially filed for divorce through mutual consent, the case escalated into an ugly legal fight filled with serious allegations. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan tied the knot with Aishwarya Rai in 2007. They welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, in 2011.

"Mind-Blowing": Internet Lauds Artist's Hyper-Realistic Fish Thali Made Out Of Wax

A Jhansi-based artist is going viral on social media and for all the right reasons. Her talent lies in creating hyper-realistic food-themed candles. Quirky culinary-inspired keychains and fridge magnets are not a thing of the past. But this creative woman is taking her craft a notch higher by making incredibly lifelike illustrations resembling popular Indian dishes. Among her versatile candle arts, one that has recently grabbed attention is a unique and delightful fish thali candle. In a video she posted on Instagram, the artist shows off the fantastically detailed fish thali. The clip opens to the artist pouring wax on a non-edible fish kept inside a mould. Next, she drizzles yellow-coloured wax into two other moulds, which soon take the shapes of a pomfret and kingfish. Once dried, she scoops them out and coats the waxfish with a brown-shaded water colour so that they look roasted. After that, a sufficient amount of liquid wax is streamed into another bowl, and wax-made rice grains are added. Similarly, the skilled artist prepared shockingly true-to-life gravy and paper-thin chapatis/bhakris. Even the salad spread, comprising a lemon wedge, a slice of onion and a green chilli, is made entirely of wax. Can you believe it? To finish things off, the artist presents the delectable yet inedible thali in a traditional plate. We also spotted wax gulab jamuns on the plate. How to watch Panchayat Season 4 for free in the US without breaking the law, your complete guide

Panchayat, one of the most-loved India-based web series is back with a bang. The fourth season of Panchayat has now been released on Amazon Prime Video, the only streaming platform for this popular web series. But will you be able to watch Panchayat in the US? Panchayat is a beloved Indian comedy-drama that follows engineer Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar) as he navigates life as a secretary in the fictional village Phulera, blending humor with poignant social commentary. Season 4 centers on a heated panchayat election between Manju Devi (Neena Gupta) and Kranti Devi, escalating village tensions while retaining its heartwarming charm. For US viewers, Amazon Prime Video is the only legal platform streaming the series. Support the creators ethically by using the free trial, and enjoy Phulera's chaos in 4K without risking security or breaking laws. The simplest way to watch Panchayat Season 4 for free in the US is through Amazon Prime Video's 30-day free trial. The entire season, 8 episodes in 4K quality with English subtitles, is exclusively available on the platform. New users can sign up for the trial, binge all episodes, and cancel before charges apply (regular subscription: $8.99/month post-trial). To maximize the trial, download episodes for offline viewing via the Prime Video app, ideal for avoiding connectivity issues or saving data. Note that the ad-supported tier (Prime Video with Ads) does not offer free trials, so opt for the standard trial for uninterrupted streaming. Episodes release at 8:00 PM ET (5:30 AM IST the next day), perfect for late-night binge-watching. While Indian viewers access free Amazon Prime via telecom bundles (e.g., Airtel's ₹ 1,199 plan, Jio's ₹ 1,029 pack, or Vi's ₹ 3,799 recharge), these are geo-restricted and unusable in the US. Some users attempt VPNs to mimic Indian locations, but this violates Amazon's terms and risks account suspension. Piracy sites illegally upload episodes but offer poor quality, malware risks, and violate India's Copyright Act (penalties include fines/jail time). For US fans, the only safe option remains the Prime free trial. Alternatively, split costs with friends via Prime's "Watch Party" feature (If available) or use limited-time promotions like student discounts (if eligible).

Niharika Konidela, Chaitanya Weren't Happy, Says Nagendra Babu: 'That Marriage Was Our Mistake'

Nagendra Babu reflects on daughter Niharika Konidela's divorce, admits the marriage was a misjudgment, and says happiness matters more than success. Actor and producer Nagendra Babu has opened up about daughter Niharika Konidela's divorce from Chaitanya Jonnalagadda, calling their marriage a 'mistake." The former couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in 2020, but parted ways in 2023. Niharika, who made her acting debut with Oka Manasu in 2016, has since transitioned to film production. In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Nagendra Babu admitted that while they had good intentions, the marriage ultimately didn't work. 'My judgement was wrong. That marriage was our mistake. We couldn't judge it properly. We didn't force the marriage; when the proposal came, she said yes, and we thought it would be good," he said. Babu further revealed that the decision to separate was mutual and made in peace. 'They weren't happy and didn't want to stay together, and I was okay with their decision," he added. Emphasising that his children's happiness is his top priority, Naga Babu said, 'Niharika and I often talk about everything. I never intervene in my children's careers. I don't care if my children's movies are hits or flops; their happiness is my priority. What's the point of having crores if they aren't happy?" He also shared his perspective on son Varun Tej's marriage to actress Lavanya Tripathi. 'When Varun told me about his relationship, I asked if he would be happy marrying her. He said yes. Now I see that they are peaceful and happy, which is all that matters to me," he said. Currently, Niharika is focused on her career as a producer. She recently produced the 2024 rural drama Committee Kurrollu, which tackled themes of friendship, politics, and rural life. Made on a modest budget and with fresh talent, the film marked her entry into a new phase of her professional journey. Nagendra Babu, younger brother of megastars Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, is a respected name in Telugu cinema. Niharika's wedding was a high-profile event, attended by stars like Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Sai Dharam Tej, and Panja Vaisshnav Tej. First Published:
