Hot Mess Sunsets to host Saliah at Helipad Dubai with Nuit de Folie
Saliah's Dubai debut at Hot Mess Sunsets promises a collision of UK bass, Arabic club edits, and high-energy chaos at Helipad
Feb 05, 2025
In a city where club nights often stick to a familiar formula, Hot Mess and Nuit de Folie are carving out a space for something different. On Saturday, February 8, the two collectives are joining forces to bring Saliah to Helipad Dubai, setting the stage for a night where UK bass meets Arabic club culture.
Saliah has been steadily reshaping the sound of contemporary club music, remixing Arabic classics through a UK underground lens. Her sets, where heavy basslines and high-energy percussion precision collide with reworked Middle Eastern anthemhave earned her a growing presence on Boiler Room, BBC Radio 1, and festival circuits worldwide.
With doors opening at 5 PM, the night is set to unfold against a backdrop of the city's skyline before descending into the kind of carefully curated chaos both Hot Mess and Nuit de Folie thrive on.
Limited presale tickets are available from tickit.co

Alexis Reel's ‘Hob W Horoub' Traces Love & Anger Across New EP
Blending hyperpop, Arabic lyrics, and raw emotion, Alexis Reel dives into heartbreak, rage, and personal rebirth on this new EP. Jun 10, 2025 In 'Hob W Horoub', Alexis Reel delivers a striking sonic narrative that moves between tenderness and rupture, love and war. The seven-track EP explores emotional volatility through a hybrid of hyperpop, electronic textures, and sharp Arabic lyricism. The project opens with 'Gambak, Shayfak', a soft start rooted in longing and curiosity, then escalates into 'Harb, Hashish, Hafla, Hob', a tongue-in-cheek commentary on capitalist chaos and overstimulation. From there, the tone turns darker and more introspective: 'Mary Jane' confronts substance use and emotional dislocation, while 'fAKE' and 'WSH ASFAR' delve into rejection and identity crises. The closing track 'Kalam Tani' leaves listeners in suspension. There's no resolution, only the question of whether to break the cycle or fall back into it. Standouts include 'Harb, Hashish, Hafla, Hob', which pairs irony with glitchy production, and 'Mary Jane', where the euphoric high of the beat collapses into emotional fallout. Released alongside a visual for 'Kalam Tani', the EP marks a new direction for Alexis Reel, one that's both raw and conceptually layered.
